A counter-intuitive review
This is an unusual review. My son and some of his friends / acquaintances had had an excellent experience working with Boon Duurzaamheid for the installation of solar panels at their homes. I, therefore, decided to install solar panels at our house. An offerte was made, a technical inspection (technische schouw) was performed, and I promptly paid a 25% down payment. It was then that things changed.
The health situation of my spouse made it necessary to put our multi-story house up for sale and purchase a single-level apartment in a building with an elevator. The solar panel installation had not yet taken place.
I wrote to Boon Duurzaamheid, cancelled my order, and asked if my down payment (minus the costs the company had incurred) could be returned. I wondered if the company would honor my request for the return of part of the 25%.
I received a very generous and very kind email from the company indicating that they would indeed return almost all of my down payment.
Their reaction showed an integrity and generosity that should be a model for all businesses. I am certain that, had we been able to proceed with the installation of the solar panels, we would have been equally delighted to have done business with Boon Duurzaamheid.
