Parcel arrived and the pies were warm they had defrosted and started to heat inside the foil packaging.
I received an immediate refund from Bowen pies .
I've had many problems with DPD they don't take care with parcels .

As we chatted about over the phone on the day of delivery, your pies arrived on the delivery date you selected at checkout. They were packed, as always, in our temperature controlled boxes designed and tested to keep everything safely chilled for up to 48 hours in transit (even in warmer weather). They arrived in 27 hours from leaving our bakery fridges.
I understand that you were expecting the pies to arrive frozen, but just to clarify, our pies are always sent fresh and chilled, not frozen. They’re baked to order, packed with care and the insulation and cool packs in each box are there to keep them safe, not icy.
That said, we always want our customers to feel 100% confident in what they receive from us, which is why we were more than happy to offer you either a free resend or a full refund. Thank you again for your order and your feedback. I hope we get the chance to bake for you again.

A bit disappointing after reading the reviews on their site.
Potato and meat pie was really good, the steak puddings were fine but the steak pies were so salty we couldn't finish them, I don't believe anyone would make a pie with so much salt in it so I can only assume there was a mistake made. One thing I have an issue with is that on their website they ask for reviews, I gave the potato and meat pie 5 stars and the review went up instantly but when I gave the steak pie 2 stars the review wasn't put up at all so it looks like they only post 4 and 5 star reviews.
Edit:- Thanks for the reply and explanation, it's quite apparent there was a bit of a mistake as another review mentions the saltiness, it is also clear that you value your customers so I have added another star. The refund wasn't necessary so I have donated it to Derian House.

We’re so sorry to hear that the Chunky Steak Pies weren’t up to standard for you. We’ve looked into this with our bakery team, as we agree it sounds like something went wrong during production, and we’re taking it seriously.
Just to reassure you, we have now issued a full refund for the Chunky steak pies. While we wish you’d contacted us directly so we could resolve things sooner, we completely understand your disappointment, and we’re grateful you’ve brought this to our attention.
Regarding your website review- we don’t filter feedback unfairly. Our system automatically publishes 4 and 5 star verified reviews, but anything lower is manually moderated (just to make sure it’s genuine), and unfortunately we’re not notified when they’re submitted, which caused a delay in it appearing. We've since published your review, because transparency matters to us.

Delicious pies
Delicious pies - I tried everywhere to get a traditional Butter pie and it certainly lived up to my expectations. The meat pie was so tasty. I only have two pies (out of 6) left to eat. I will certainly be ordering more.

The pies were very tasty and the pastry not too thick.
Downside to this was THE delivery by DPD
There was a 24 hour delay on delivery. The ice pack had melted luckily the pies. Were fine

I’m really sorry about the delay with DPD. Unfortunately, unexpected courier delays can occasionally happen (though not very often) and are unfortunately out of our hands. That said, we completely understand how frustrating it is when things don’t arrive on time.
Just to reassure you, our pies are packed in temperature controlled packaging that keeps them safe and fresh in transit for up to 48 hours. It’s normal for the ice pack to melt during its journey - its the insulation inside the box that works together with the cool pack to keep everything at a safe internal temperature.

Just to clarify, we did respond to both of your emails promptly. In our second message, we also mentioned that sometimes replies can land in spam or junk folders, which might explain why you didn’t see them.
As outlined in our first reply, the pies you ordered were our limited run of Lancashire Cheese & Potato Pies rather than our regular Cheese & Onion. These contained a new season of potatoes that were a little firmer in texture and we’re really sorry if they weren’t to your taste.

The pies are delicious
The pies are delicious, but the cellophane wrapping around some of them was split when they arrived. I don't think that this affects the longevity of the pies as I froze them immediately on receipt.
