Whilst the vase itself was beautiful
Whilst the vase itself was beautiful, with really swift delivery, I am appalled to note that since speaking to others who have purchased from the same site, the price of the item has increased from £28 to £55 within a matter of weeks, taking advantage of the situation and the popularity of the item. This is totally out of order and a disappointment in a time where we are all supposed to be pulling together and helping each other out.

Sorry to hear you felt this way regarding the price increase. We'd be happy to explain why this was necessary: as a small independent store with one shop in London we've had to shut our doors during these very difficult times while the NHS's hard work goes on to save lives and eventually ease restrictions. While we entirely support this decision we have had to be very careful to ensure we are no longer absorbing any costs and consequentially had to pass these costs over through stock pricing.
When this product sold out we were quick to order lots more - due to the sheer volume there was a very high delivery cost which we had to cost into individual items. This included the price of delivery and costs of extra temporary staff to process the volume of orders. While we can completely relate to your frustrations and price-increases can be upsetting, we have since reduced our prices back and are very excited to reopen!
Our intentions were never to take advantage of our lovely customers, but rather ensure our small independent brick and mortar shop can remain sustainable and come out the other side during these very difficult times. Brand Academy’s ethos is to support independent designers and have given over 20% of our store and 100% profit of their stock sales to help them launch their brands in an otherwise difficult market and work very hard to support them into a highly competitive industry. We have spent the past number of years supporting others and would never take advantage of anyone, especially during these trying times.
We hope you can accept our sincerest apologies for any distress we may have caused, we would have been happy to explain if you had reached out to us with your complaint - we strive to reach the highest in customer service we possibly can. As a gesture of goodwill we would like to kindly offer you and the others you mentioned in your review a 10% discount to redeem at our online store, please reach out to hello@brandacademystore.com and we’ll personally send it over to you.
