awful company. lazy and inept. missed an entire day when they didn't show up with the equipment. the excuse was that the van had been stuck in mud. i've been fighting to get the cost of the day back and have yet to be recompensed for the pads that i handed back. never again.

Attempted to order a solid tine lawn aerator 26/11/25. Ordered online, allocated to Canning Town Branch. The wrong aerator with hollow tines was delivered (which in addition was non-operational with a defective engine and overdue service check). Delivery of correct machine scheduled for following day, found out on chasing Canning Town branch delivery was cancelled due to a company meeting. Rescheduled delivery to following day (Friday); on chasing on the Friday was told by Canning Town branch they could not tell me when it would be delivered "because I was not a priority customer". Asked to speak to manager and was then told that they could not deliver correct machine until Monday: This was too late for me as back at work. Had refund progressed OK by Bristol call centre and have today receiver a request for overdue payment from their debts department! Words fail me. The delivery drivers were good and my interactions with Bristol help centre OK, otherwise completely shambolic experience which wasted a lot of time and energy, plus did not get my lawn aerated!

Great company who actually have the tools they hire out. Everything arrived and was collected exactly as they said, could t ask for anything more

Brandon Hire were very helpful, accommodating and the hire equipment were competitively priced. They dealt with my queries quickly. Drop off and pick up were without fuss.

Don’t believe everything you read online.
The team were so helpful and friendly. Real customer service at its best. I hired the Karcher RM760 and I’m blown away by how well it’s working. I’ve only done a small section of our cream lounge so far and the difference is already incredible. Super happy overall. I highly recommend Brandon Hire Station.

Great service would use again

Ordered an auger/ground drill for a week. Delivered on Friday, but I discovered they had not delivered the requested accessories to drill to the depth I needed. This had not been communicated to me prior to delivery. In addition the bits (which have a replaceable blade) were blunt as the blades had been over sharpened instead of replaced as needed. I contacted them as soon as their offices reopened on Monday morning and as they said they could not provide the accessories I had paid for, I said we needed to cancel the contract. They picked up the order shortly after.

When they did not fully refund me I made multiple attempts by email and phone to sort it out.

There were too many attempts to gaslight me to recount, but I'd like to call out the Canning Town branch manager's attempts. Highlights included:

Claiming I should have been able to dig a hole without the accessories (So why list them? Can you dig down over a meter with a 700mm bit?)

Claiming because I had tested the auger out I had to pay for the full rental. (Under the Consumer Rights Act you have the right to test out goods to determine their functionality before returning - not that it matters when the good aren't fully delivered or fit for purpose)

Claiming too much time had passed to give a refund. (Legally you have up to 6 years - all this took place within a month - I had phoned them as soon as their offices reopened, emailed them as soon as the legally required 14 day refund limit had ben breached. In addition the Manager had been "away on training" the week before I finally managed to get on the phone to him).

I did get the refund after threatening legal action. Know your rights.

Great service and very good staff. I definitely recommend it.

Waited all morning for hired machine, called the office at midday to find out why. Just been updated saying they are on the way and was delayed. Finally delivery driver arrived about 2pm, agency driver stated that delay was due to staff member going sick. It would have been nice to be updated of the delay and possibly good customer service if i had an apology.

I hired a scaffolding tower for two day but i used it only for 1 day because they deliver it 3:45pm on the first day, then collect time is set from 8:00am to 10:am on the collected date.

Message failed to be passed on to cannng town depot from main office to collect on the Day of off hiring , I had to chase the collection on the day to ensure the gear was collected

They are extortionists when it comes to extending your hire or ordering more extras. I tried to order sandpaper for total cost of £20 and they wanted £25 for delivery. I had to extend my floor sander hire which I paid £102 for the original 5 days but they charged me an EXTRA £178 for an extension of 3 days?! The building industry needs more regulation from cowboys such as this operation. Such a rip off. don't use this company

Appalling behaviour in the depot and on the phone. Refuse to hand over the rental I paid for online because I did not hold a UK driving licence or UK passport. None of these "rules" are part of the terms and conditions agreement, not communicated via email. In fact, the printed conditions of hiring in the depot did not state that you need a UK licence. Extremely difficult to get a refund, had to get the bank involved. Thieves, avoid at all cost.

First class service from start to finish, very competitive prices, friendly staff. I had to extend the hire a few times and this was done without any problem. Would highly recommend Brandon Tool Station and wouldn’t hesitate in using them again. Thank you for your excellent service
