From start to finish, Paul was professional, friendly, and really knew his stuff. He took the time to explain everything clearly, made sure I had the right equipment for the job, and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. It’s not always easy dealing with equipment hire, but Paul made it straightforward and hassle-free.
Overall, I’m really happy with the service and wouldn’t hesitate to use Brandon Hire Station again—especially if Paul is there to help. He’s a credit to the company. Highly recommended!

Delivered wrong equopment
Delivered wrong equopment to what i ordered. Specifically ordered hollow tines but solid tinescwas delivered. Sent an email but not responded to.It has set my work back for 6 months.

Fantastic service and driver with a positive and helpful attitude
We recently placed a large order to fulfill our company needs. Gary and the team at Sutton Road, worked hard to make this happened and kept open and clear communication throughout the process. On delivery day, the text message alerts to delivery times etc were also very useful. When Paul the driver arrived, i was taken aback by his positivity and willingness to ensure everything was OK before leaving, even though it was late in the day.

One star is being over generous
One star is being over generous. Having ordered and paid for the hire of a disc cutter on line I received a phone call informing me that I had not ordered a cutting disc. Having checked back to the website and nowhere does it state that the blade has to be ordered separately. Discussing this with the branch in question I was told that the website was a fault as it does not state this and it would have to be corrected. So, the fault was Brandon's own making but I was still expected to pay a not inconsiderable sum for a blade. The discussion continued and at no time was I offered the blade free of charge as an offer of goodwill. Having run into a brick wall I had no alternative but to cancel the order. I have worked in the construction industry all of my working life and used this company on many occasions but never again.

Great customer service
Despite the machine I heard being delayed due to having to be repaired the team at Brandon Hire did a great job keeping me informed and rearranging the hire date.

Brandon hire are a long standing supplier of Plymouth City Council, supplying infrastructure for our events programme in Plymouth. From portaloos to barrier they always deliver on time and respond promptly to our requests and specs. Equipment I hired online was not available, we were only phoned the day before and I missed the call. No email was sent, so we found out on the morning of the job. The one strimmer we did take was leaking oil, which I didn't notice until it had leaked all over my clothes, staining them. The engine then seized, at which point the machine was useless to us. Poor communication and a website which lets you book anything you want, only for you to later find out half of it is not in stock (seriously, use a database).

Had to hire some portaloos at very short notice and on a quite urgent basis. Although Sutton rd didn’t hold these, they kindly contacted Plympton branch and arranged the order/delivery. Within a couple of hours they were delivered to my premises. Friendly, helpful and everything done with smile…. Quite a rarity these day! Well done all!

Personable helpful staff - excellent service
I had to come in before my shift started and I was welcomed by a lovely sunny gentleman. Went through everything for me. Even loaded my hire item in the car for me.
He was very helpful and these days when most things are an utter hassle it simplified things for me and made it a stress free experience. Drop off was the same and I was even remembered so the value that gives really matters. Thank you
