Website is too rudimentary to allow me to enroll online. So called customer support. In fact, spoke with 5 different people on three different days and got a different set of instructions from each... See more

Avoid Bread Financial credit line
I have great credit and twice they have closed my credit account with no written notice and certainly no efforts to entice my credit usage. The benefits are nil and anyone is better off using credit lines through better financial institutions.
Offshore customer service
They were great in the beginning, US Based customer service. After their recent layoff involving 500+ people, customer service is going to the Philippines and South Africa. (Their global partners)
I refuse to handle financials with a call center whose agents have a language barrier.
As an American, we should use our financial power to back companies that employ American labor.
This company is ran by scam artists
This company is ran by scam artists! They lie to their customers and charge terms on them. I just joined a major lawsuit against them.

stay away or you will have huge regrets. Worst decision ever joining this scam company. they need to be put out of business. they will charge random charges to your account and hold you hostage. what is going on??!!!

Wish I read the reviews- was misled by a Forbes advisor article. Scam company that takes your money and refuses to give it back - lots of random charges and hits to your credit. Stay away if you like to keep your good credit score and not be charged random charges. Get any credit card but this one
Simple and effective Savings account
I put $40K in their savings account and within a couple of months I was getting interest credits into my account. If you keep it simple then the process is simple. I asked them a question in their app and they answered me a day later on a Sunday. I recommend their savings account over your high street /Main street bank. You’ll make money
PAID IN FULL & CHARGED ME 5 Months…
PAID IN FULL & CHARGED ME 5 Months afterwards for “late fees” plus interest. Over $200 ($218+) for NOTHING. If a lender has a Pay In Full option, add late fees etc into the amount IF you say it is late. Otherwise, it is a SCAM! You can change your name from your last one but bad practices will follow a bad “business”. It’s only a matter of time before this becomes a legal issue again.
Fine for High Yield Savings
Bread has offered excellent rates on money market accounts & I haven't had any problems with them. I have NO experience with their credit cards or other services.
Not a forthright company
I think it is super scam my that this company says there are no annual fees and such but they charge you a minimum monthly interest regardless of whether you use the card. They should make it mandatory that the companies who use their credit services make this information known up front rather than calling their fees (which is what this is) something misleading that they don't have to divulge. Pretty shady B.S. if you ask me.

We were directed to this website from an online product vendor.
There was an offer for zero percent financing. After giving SSN and other data to BreadPay they gave us a very high interest rate offer. We thought this was deceptive at least considering our 800+ credit score.
It turns out this site is apparently located in India. Even though we rejected their offer we are now getting offers in the mail and email from them.
Bread Won't Release $1,545.00 Credit Balance
I returned a pair of Jabra hearing aids purchased on installments through their provider, Bread Financial. On September 6, Bread credited $200+ to my bank account but is keeping over $1,500+ in my "Bread Account." On September 12, I emailed a request to send remaining $1,545 to my bank. On September 13, their "Thank you for contacting Bread Support" email arrived with the redundant message that $200+ was refunded to my bank account. I want to pay for my replacement hearing aids in one payment, but can't until Bread releases my $1,545.00 credit. Is this SOP for lenders?
Poor and glitchy service, predatory APRs
I have a Hot Topic credit card as well as a Torrid credit card through Bread Financial. I am closing them both now. Constant issues with double holds on purchase charges, slow response time to app messages, call lines are outsourced. No formal notice of APR increases. I just happened to check my latest statements and found out my interest rate had been increased to a 35% APR.
I used to be able to make online…
I used to be able to make online payments to my Victoria Secret card when it was still Comenity. However, ever since Bread Financial took over I can't get into my account online to do anything (shop, check my balance, pay my bill, contact support). Every time I log in, I keep getting error messages that my credentials don't match. I've even went as far as to try to change my password to ensure I am 100% typing my credentials correctly and still keep getting the same error. Not only that, when I try to change my password, I get an error message "Error: Password not changed" but I'll get a confirmation email saying I did successfully change my password. Also, the Contact Us will not work unless YOU'RE LOGGED INTO your account but YOU CAN'T LOG INTO YOUR ACCOUNT ever since Bread Financial took over. When I call the 800 number, I get the run around. It's been several months now with several attempts for help and no resolution. Once I'm done paying off the $500 I have left, I'm just going to close my account. I don't care if it dings my credit report either. I've already heard the horror stories of people still being charged monthly even though they have a zero balance.
They are horrible
They are horrible; I still have to deal with them even after I closed my account because they keep applying a substantial late fee on a zero balance. Their website is not user-friendly, and neither is their customer service; they just repetitively recite policy. Do not engage with the Comenity dance; the 20% is not worth the headaches.
Un-effing-believable
Un-effing-believable. This is a firm that preys on consumers for full-on financial gain with various ‘nickel and dime’ fees that they can assess on each consumer. If you are late, they will slap you with a late fee (no surprise), but even if you pay on time the whole balance, you’ll still get a finance charge. Who the eff does that? STAY FAR AWAY FROM COMENITY BANK/DELL FINANICIAL SERVICES/BREAD FINANCIAL. Go to Discover as they have better terms and APR rates. Pisses me off big time.
Terrible company
Terrible company. Dishonest. Predatory. I paid off an Overstock credit card and paid the entire balance in full before the due date. Then these people billed me an additional, $3.12 after that, just because these predators can. I turned them into the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the Better Business Bureau. They doubled down on their predatory stance and refused to budge. This is a terrible company. I will never do business with them again.
Rip Off Artists-Run Away
Biggest scammers around besides the store you buy the merchandise from (medmart)- they don't send you the right merchandise takes forever to get the right merchandise ended up sending it back requiring signature ($70 shipping fee) told bread financial I shipped it back said make payments until medmart pays them back, medmart did but bread kept denying being paid back even after sending copies of medmarts emails and then took interest out of my payments when I didn't even get any merchandise, never will I use either one of these two ever again and would have put zero stars if it let me, employees have no knowledge of refund granted still saying when medmart pays we'll pay you.
Run away
The app sucks so bad when you want
to pay. I feel like they purposely make it not user friendly so that you can have a late payment. One wrong move and it logs you off your account and you have to log back on and jump through hoops to get back in. I will type my info in and it will say cannot find account till the third try, THEN I have to constantly confirm a “one time code” to get into my account and it sends to my e mail even though I have a number registered, the app says no number is listed when it clearly is. Also when you pay your balances off way earlier than the due date they will still charge you an unexpected fee. You have to check your account because it’ll pop up without notice when you think you’re all good and it’s at 0. Costumer service always hangs up on me at some point and half of them don’t know what they’re doing. Nightmare. Just run.
Avoid at all costs!
Not in the best interest of the consumer -EVER! They have shady practices of lowering your credit limit to reflect 80-95% credit usage without notice! I have NEVER missed a payment, paid over the minimum required, and lowered my credit limit from $3500 to $1500! I owed them $1000 at the time! I have a Sony Visa with them, and there are no benefits to having this card. It was owned by Capital One before these fools! I will pay them off, and close my account! I will remain in control of my credit score! Not them!

Applied for a card on the premise of spend 1000 get 200 but after I applied and got approved I got an email saying I had to spend 500 to get 100...I spent 500 and didn't get 100 they're rewards program is terrible and in my opinion a sketchy scam
