I have been searching for a pragmatic, research-based teacher training for breathwork. I interviewed many companies, but they didn’t meet my needs related to wanting data from research and practice into breathing. The team at Breathless have equipped me with the skills and knowledge to be a confident breathwork instructor.

I look forward to teaching my clients simple and powerful techniques to help them reclaim their capacity to be resilient, sleep well, and handle their challenges through their breath. And the support offered to instructors continues through their network.

I had been following Breathless Expeditions & Johannes for over two years before I took the leap and applied for a Breathless Breathwork Instructor Training in the mountains this year (March 2025). Having been doing some Breathwork on my own and attending local classes, I really wanted to immerse myself and discover how impactful daily practise could be for me and my health. Diving deep into the history, science & practical elements of breathing have truly changed the way I live my life & I can’t stop recommending this training to everyone that is curious to speak with me about my love of breathwork and its impact on my life. I recently participated in the in-person instructor training in the Snowy Mountains. It was an incredible experience, mixing experiential learning both as a facilitator and breathing, as well as theory. Johannes and the support team are knowledgeable and loving people. I’ve returned home wanting to continue this journey.

I didn’t have much expectations going in. Mainly because it was on a whim I googled breathwork instructor training, submitted my details and then spoke with an amazing lady called Claire. Next minute… I was booked in and didn’t think much of it until suddenly April arrived and I was off to the mountains.

Life had already taken hold and despite having 3 months to complete the instructor training online, I managed to cram it all in at the last minute. As in I finished the course content, the morning of the in person training. Learn from me and plan your training. Or don’t because I still managed!

My key recommendation is to go into the experience with openness. An open mind, to learn and absorb all the information. An open heart so that you can feel every moment of this experience, from the care of Johannes and his team right through to the love of the new bonds of friendships you will make. Most of all, an open spirit because you’ll be soaring. Four days will feel like a lifetime, so be prepared to be changed.

The best thing of all… you’ll finish the experience with the tools to continue the ripples of change into the world. One breath at a time.

The Breathwork Instructors Course with Johannes and his team is first class. I learnt to controll stress and regulate my body through breath. In a short amount of time I left with the confidence to facilitate a breathwork session and was lucky enough connect with like minded people in a perfect setting. Highly recommend.

From start to finish my journey with Breathless expeditions was nothing short of extraordinary . Such a well planned program. The science and spiritual were integrated with great balance. There was also lots of opportunity for practice instructing which you can’t get elsewhere!

Johannes and the team provide genuine support and care throughout the retreat element, and anything that feels out of your comfort zone initially, you leave feeling well equipped to practically apply. The parts i really enjoyed was the immersive experience in the mountains learning more about the breath and taking part in breakthrough sessions. There is alot of content on the breath through the online portal which i love and its amazing we have unlimited access to this. the lectures and podcast are so informative.
The parts I feel need to be explored improving is the integration experience and mentorship, a big reason i signed up to this school was because i promised the a mentorship program after the training and wouldnt say that really exists from a structure point of view. You do get one call with another breathwork teach and this was great. There was a bit promised around business development / strategy and personalised breathwork practise development and I wouldn't say this was really delivered. If these parts got improved it would be a really amazing school to learn braethwork at.

I did the Breathless Instructor Course with Johannes and the team in April 2025. I have to say this training is world class! The content goes deep and is delivered in a way that makes it easier to integrate. There is so much support provided. I always felt safe, connected and taken care of. I looked into a few other courses, but found none were of as high a quality as this one. The time spent at the intensive will always bring so many wonderful memories for me. It was profound and life changing. I won't go into details as Johannes incorporates some cool surprises in the intensive and I am not a spoiler haha. Johannes as a person is warm, grounded and has such an expansive energy, no ego, and that's a big part of why I chose to train with Breathless. Everyone on the team has an awesome vibe. I really loved being there even though I was away from my son. I loved meeting so many cool people there. I would highly recommend Breathless to anyone who wants to do anything with breathwork, from first dipping your toe in, to training. Thank you Johannes and team for an unforgettable experience!

Most incredible experience ever. I did the breath work facilitating training in May 2025 and it blew my mind. I learnt so much and got to know amazing people who've become friends.
