Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 123 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. People frequently struggled with payment problems, unexpected fees charged when dates failed to happen, and accounts being frozen arbitrarily without clear explanations. Customers also strongly complained about inconvenient date locations, poorly functioning matching algorithms, and frustrating communication barriers throughout the entire process. Though some people found the unique concept refreshing and much easier to use for intentional dating. Users deeply appreciated the straightforward approach that successfully avoids endless messaging and helps people discover interesting new places together. They felt it saved time compared to traditional platforms and offered a fun way to meet serious singles in person.

Very disappointed

Ordered according to their sizing chart and calculated a little extra room. When the waistcoats arrived they were too small. I have attempted to contact their support for instructions to, refund, return, or exchange and have not received any response. Very disappointed

Dating on a Slow Decline

The app has been on the decline for a while.

I have been incredibly surprised by the number of people who use the app but are not bothered to even verify. I genuinely thought people would be different on this app.

It's come to a point where you have to regularly risk matching with an unverified profile to stand any chance of a date. Breeze doesn't seem to care about this.

For people wondering. These are my outcomes. Ive used breeze over 11 months.

I have seen roughly 3000 profiles. Liked 923. 16 dates came as a result with 8 cancellations. Numbers exchanged with 6. Ghosted with all number exchanges. So no success yet!
I hate talking stats, because people are not numbers out of respect. But I hope it helps people understand the sheer effort required these days to find someone using apps. This is not sustainable.

In order to get these dates all, I have been incredibly open-minded. Open to dating people from different socio-economic groups, ethnicities, you name it. Modern dating on apps incentivise you to forgo your type - which can be difficult at first to accept.

I do get matches but many cancel. I now have had almost the same number of cancellations as dates. It's is beguiling to see people pay almost £10 for a date but just forfeit it like £10 is worthless. All during a cost of living crisis. Madness!

What is also sad about cancellations is that a significant number of people are not willing to treat an opportunity to find a love of their life with any respect. Even with advancing age people fail to act on a life of increasing loneliness, instead resorting to self sabotage. I've encountered this irrational mindset very regularly and it's worrying.

Customer service used to be good but now there is a subtle gender bias in responses to problems. On one particular date my boss asked me to work overtime - hence I had to push back a time.

I followed all of Breeze's protocols which included messaging the date first and then changing the time and also calling the venue. I also kept in touch with the Breeze assistant.

My date did not read my message or get any notifications for over 3 hours before the date. She just turned up casually to the date and and then mysteriously read my message.

She told me she could not wait and I had 10 minutes to turn up. Which I couldn't do obviously.

I told the assistant at Breeze who attempted to gaslight me even going to the depths of saying I had not changed the time.

I shared screenshots of the time change and even sent phone records to try to prove my innocence.

They finally said something obscure like 'i had used the wrong link on the app' but would never admit their initial mistake (I asked them to send her a notification but they gave her the benefit of doubt by suggesting the girl might be busy at work).

I don't think Breeze actually checks if someone arrived or not. So if my date had read my message and chose to ignore them and lied about turning up - they would not face any repercussions at all

This subtle benefit of doubt based on gender is just wrong. It leads to behaviour which empowers a group of people into no self-accountability. Dating apps should criticise regardless of gender and police fairly. The current climate considers equal criticism politically incorrect which is poisoning trust on apps. But nobody does a thing.

Given the low reviews on trust pilot, one wonders how the reviews are kept so high on the app store. Again no accountability for Breeze.

The people on dating apps have led to this collapse. Breeze's set-up sadly doesn't stop daters preying on other people's emotions. For the amount people pay, the service should be much better.

I think Breeze and other apps have admitted defeat, in that dating cannot be saved. I suspect customer service receive so many complaints due to bad behaviour - they are simply fed up.

On a date in March, there were four tables reserved for Breeze dates. I was lucky enough to have my date turn up. But the other two didn't turn up. The last table had a girl sitting alone. This is a visual metaphor about the lack of care and respect people have for each other.

Last point. As an ethnic minority person, I understand that there are fewer of my lot around in order to catch a date. Although Breeze doesnt have an ethnic minority filter, there is still a lot of racial tension on the apps, in my experience.

Some people have walked out early from dates when I was asked about my racial background (my appearance belies my ethnicity). This is okay in a free society, I suppose, but still sad to see in 2026. Terrible for self-esteem and mental health - but again breeze will do absolutely nothing about this.

Dating apps tend to attract low-effort individuals. If you are not a low-effort person you will face an arduous task in finding decent people. The Breeze concept looked promising but in the end people will be people.

The date was set but the other person…

The date was set but the other person did not respond in time and as a consequence they froze my account for 2 weeks. Why do I get the frozen account as a result???

They could not arrange a venue so they only refunded half a token?? How is that my fault they should have refunded properly.

They freeze your account for an amount of time but it stays frozen far too longer.

I was unhappy with they app but after today I had enough.

Application has lots of failed features. Can’t evet deactivate my account.

Complete waste of time and money. Puts you off dating even more.

Extreme waste of time

Extreme waste of time. Doesn’t even allow my profile even though I’ve verified my account. No one getting back on support.

Read this before you start paying!

So far not impressed, first date cancelled and I was refunded my ‘token’ on my profile, second match they couldn’t arrange a location and left it to me which I struggled with finding the time and not knowing the location, they have refunded me back half a token which is a little bit pointless and I’m stuck in limbo with no help from customer support. It’s unlikely I will carry on with this app, just as fustrating and helpful as all the ones you don’t pay for! Also no option to match on political views which I think is important

Account frozen immediately after a successful date, no evidence, no investigation, then mocked by support

I want to warn anyone considering this app about how Breeze handles disputes, because my experience was genuinely shocking.

I had a date scheduled and messaged my match hours in advance to ask if we could push the start time back due to traffic. She agreed in writing, in the app's own chat: "that's ok, no problem." We kept chatting throughout, she told me to take my time, and we had a lovely date. Nothing was cancelled.

Immediately after the date, my account was frozen for a "cancellation" that never happened. No one contacted me, no one asked for my side, no one even opened the chat history sitting right there in their own app.

When I reached out to support, it got worse. They accused me of being over an hour late. Their justification? They claimed to be acting on a message from the other party. Whether such a message even exists, I have no way of knowing. Nothing was verified. They didn't review the chat logs, ask me, or contact the bar where the date took place to confirm that both of us showed up, which would have settled the matter instantly. Only one side of the story was ever heard, and mine was dismissed outright even when I pointed them to the messages proving the time change was agreed. The entire punishment was issued on an alleged report I never saw, while every available piece of evidence went unchecked.

And then the tone: a support agent sent me a winking emoji and suggested I "give her a 1-star review instead of us ;)". Mocking a customer and encouraging retaliation against another user is beyond unprofessional.

They then held my account hostage, saying it would only be unfrozen once my date "acknowledged" the date happened, putting the burden of proof on me for an accusation they never investigated in the first place.

Eventually my date confirmed everything and my account was reinstated. No apology, no accountability for the sarcastic messages, nothing.

The concept of the app is nice. But if anything goes slightly wrong, you will be presumed guilty on an unverified claim, dismissed, and mocked by the people who are supposed to help you. Avoid.

Really not impressed with this app.

Really not impressed with this app.
I get intentional dating but not allowing preferences at all just doesn’t lead to dates. Only being shown 6 or 7 guys a night, all that are not in the least bit someone I would find attractive, just doesn’t lead to dates.
The location settings are also a problem- if you don’t live close to a dating location then it’s no point.
And even when you do they will show you people who live miles away which is just a waste of time.
A good idea but currently being very poorly executed.

Only one match/date in seven months

Only one match/date in seven months. Even then, clearly used very old photos and had information in his profile that was unverified. Actually, not a safe way to meet people at all, not many safety checks at all.

Great concept, poor execution

Great concept. The only problem is that the app is a ghost town. No users on the app isn't called "slow dating". There's literally no point in being on there. I saw or matched with people on bumble instead. Paying for the date without knowing the venue and location is a big problem. I'm not going on a date from central London to Croydon, in some basement pub, no date's contact in case of travel delay or no show, with no refund. Great concept but very poor execution.

They specifically marginalize people of…

They specifically marginalize people of colour as lower possibility of matches and have been found by the Dutch government of this same issue.

But now they're trying the same tricks in the UK but obviously because of our less strict hospitality regulation they are a booming business here.

In time algorithm optimizes for match which means people it thinks are not gonna be potential much for that local area,

They're just going to put your profile down. So I only get one option per day whereas my other friends get five to seven option despite being nearly the same age living in the same area and having setting the same preferences.

I initially contacted the support who gaslit me and said that they don't do any such thing and I just ha yet after using it for 90 days straight the outcome remains the same

Me after showing the findings from the Dutch government and the paper officially came out of a Dutch University that's when they admit that the algorithm has a tendency of doing that

But apparently it has been fixed.

Unfortunately I don't have much to offer in terms of how the dates have been or anything because I wasn't offered one in the first place because the app doesn't think my profile is good enough to be displayed

Awful app

Awful app, took my profile down within hours because it wasn't happy with the pictures. All we're of me profile style shots and I had verified it was me. They want more variety??? I am the PRODUCT on a dating app why is my profile being rejected because I took a picture of my face? I was told by support it was reported by someone else? I checked a profile that was 2 almost identical and a dog. There was no option to report for variation. It seems if you face don't fit you can't come in. Whoever is running this app deserves it's eventual failure. Theres a reason the reviews are bad

Update: it appear this policy is also illegal and a breach of the equality act, they cannot demand full body pictures as it forces disclosure

Breeze does nothing after reporting AI photos

Reporting profiles that consist of catfishing AI pictures (with proof) does not do anything, Breeze does nothing to ensure the safety of their users for these scammers who look nothing alike their fake pictures.
It is absolutely insane that people with completely fake photos can create havock for months on end even though they are reported multiple times.
No reply from Breeze via email and no action via the app.
