Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 123 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. People frequently struggled with payment problems, unexpected fees charged when dates failed to happen, and accounts being frozen arbitrarily without clear explanations. Customers also strongly complained about inconvenient date locations, poorly functioning matching algorithms, and frustrating communication barriers throughout the entire process. Though some people found the unique concept refreshing and much easier to use for intentional dating. Users deeply appreciated the straightforward approach that successfully avoids endless messaging and helps people discover interesting new places together. They felt it saved time compared to traditional platforms and offered a fun way to meet serious singles in person.

Horrific site

Horrific site. Terrible matches. Got a really bad match and because I wasn’t interested they froze my account for 3 days. I also don’t think it’s safe. You’re meeting a total stranger without any communication before hand. Deleted it forever. Never again.

Good idea, terrible execution

I've been on this app for about 8 months now and not had a single date show up. One cancelled 4 days before and the other two just didn't bother picking dates (which counts as a cancellation on the app). I got a message from Breeze telling me that this happened and that the members in question would be punished. But what's worse is that these women's profiles are then shown in the app and I can see that they've all still retained their 'breeze culture' badge (a badge you get for turning up to dates and being respectful). So yeah, I have my token I have purchased since 'date 1' that still has yet to be used. I get that people get cold feet but then maybe this isn't the app for you. The whole point of it is to take a chance and go on a date without any of the preamble.

If Breeze want to start something different (and I do think it's a great idea in concept) then they need to be a bit more tough with their rules. Do what Bumble does and ban anyone who acts disingenuous. Be more tough because you're going to get a lot of flakes.

The concept sounds good

The concept sounds good, the reality very different. I am due to go on a date tomorrow via the Breeze app having paid my £9.50 for a drink and safe location to meet up. . Today I received a message saying there were no participating pubs in the area tomorrow that Breeze offer, Canterbury! So I had to find my own one and send the location to my date. I contacted Breeze via the chat facility and was told that this can happen on occasions and I have had half a token refunded back to my account!!! This they say is because they have found me a match. The fact I had to find a location and will have to pay for a drink is to me unacceptable especially given Breeze like to promote themselves as a safe platform whereby you can turn to bar staff for help should you need it. I have asked for a refund on another date with someone else that I am due to go on in December as don’t want the stress and worry of this all over again and at 62 years of age I frankly don’t need it!!!

Never again

I thought I'll try something new and try breeze. Looked good at first. Straightforward. Got a match, thought brilliant, until closer to date. Date venue changed 3 times. Last change 2 hours before the date, which has messed up things a great deal. On the door venue wasn't aware of my date, hence no free drink. Music ridiculously loud, really difficult to talk, a couple next to us getting up to things, girl getting fingered right next to us in a very Loud but otherwise almost empty bar. Whole atmosphere very peculiar and awkward, definitely never using again, very disappointed.

A discriminatory app

Absolutely a discriminatory app. I contacted them to ensure that I could have meetings near where I am because of my condition. They allocated dates miles from me, never managed this well, they offered to change dates without having properly checked that a venue had availability, then 5 minutes after they reverted to a location miles away! Their automated processes are not built to consider their customer needs! Stay away

Literally zero matches in 10 months

Literally zero matches in 10 months. There's definitely something wrong with this app. I got 2 dates in the first month and then zero dates since. I reckon these 2 dates were setups (not genuine) then Ive been blocked from getting matches ever since? Something's not right.....

Unprofessional and poor value for money

I was really disappointed with Breeze. You pay £9.99 for what is essentially a small glass of wine and a table booking, something I could easily arrange myself. My date lived five minutes away while I travelled over an hour each way late at night, which felt unfair and unsafe.

If you cancel a date, they still take your money and ban you from using the app for days or weeks, which is unreasonable.

When I said I’d be cancelling my remaining dates, deleting the app, and sharing my experience, the customer service reply I received was:

“Yeah, you do that.”

That kind of dismissive and unprofessional response says it all. Poor value, poor care, and not worth the money.

algorithm bad, privacy is not scary

It's clear that if there's a algorithm it's bad, they ask me if I am straight and who would I meet so they should refer me to woman but I got homosexual man for 3 times within the same week. In the other hand some women have really more than 90% profile match and I don't get date. After I write bad review about them in Google they did something so the doesn't open anymore.

I met my boyfriend on the app after years of OLD with other apps. Love the setup - I think the fee for scheduling a date and the cancellation system benefit people who are looking for a serious relationship.

Disrupting dating apps - sadly worse

Disrupting dating apps - sadly worse.

I really championed this app for the last year, hoping it was the answer us singles in a city trying to meet people who are intentionally dating.

Unfortunately, as an app it just doesn't work properly as the support isn't there in a way that benefits the consumer. I have had a handful of bad experiences with the app which involved poor planning, locations miles away in weird locations, and some strange men who then promptly deleted their profiles which raised a safety concern for me.

Last night solidified my position, I was due to have a "walk and talk" date, scheduled to meet in Leicester Square (a crowded tourist destination) with no real location listed. The chat opened 4 hours early and so I messaged the guy I was due to meet saying how excited I was to meet him, and where was best as it's so general and such a busy area. He didn't respond to my messages, I messaged support who told me they still expected me to turn up and wait there (to be stood up). This was a huge safety concern to me and I now realise in hindsight I'm really not sure how suitable the app is for single women.

The guy did end up responding (at the time we were due to meet) and we coordinated where to catch up. I got to him and his bag hit me quite badly on meeting(he didn't apologise) and proceeded to ignore the fact he had been quite rude all afternoon by not responding. By not addressing any of it and my experience to that point I felt really uncomfortable and excused myself, he then tried to argue with me and I knew I was right to bow out.

Point of the above; Breeze are not concerned about safety and they should have a policy in place for situations like the above, whereby the date is automatically cancelled if one party on a "walk and talk" date doesn't message the person they are meeting. The support staff who I spoke to on this occasion (previously pretty good) just shut down the conversation when I raised all concerns.

I've forfeited my money I've spent and invested in this app and deleted my account, with no plan on returning - unless someone from the app responds to my concerns. Again, I believe in the concept and I think it's a shame I was shut down and the support wasn't there last night.

Absolute waste of time and money!

This app does not work well at all. As you have not spoken to the match, they feel no obligation to stick to the plans and completely waste your time. So you’ve spent the money and wasted your time and have no dates to show for it. I paid for 6 dates in total and had 6 booked in. I met the first one but as we had not spoken before we didn’t realise just how far away we lived from each other and it just wouldn’t work, the second one rescheduled the date 3 times wasting my time on three occasions, so I declined the new proposed date and therefore it was cancelled, I met with the 3rd but he sent me a msg on the app just before we met, asking me to change the location to somewhere closer to him therefore I lost the first drink that I had paid for, the 4th one rescheduled twice so I declined to meet him, the 5th one sent me a msg just before the date asking to meet an hour later and when I said that I would but I couldn’t stay out too late, he cancelled the date and finally when I asked the support centre if I could get a refund on the second package of 3 that I bought even though it had been over 14 days since I paid for them, they told me to cancel the date and that any consequences (which I understood to mean losing the token or freezing my account or losing the badge to show I am a reliable date) would be undone. So I cancelled the date and they then said that my reason for cancelling wasn’t valid, even though I had already explained it to them before they told me to cancel, therefore they not only froze my account, but they still took the date tokens as if they were used and told me that I could no longer get a refund because the tokens had been used!!

It’s a good idea but unfortunately I would never recommend this app to anyone and never use them again myself! Why are there so many things out there just to take our money and give you absolutely nothing for it! And people who are an Absolute waste of time!

They did agree to refund my second package in the end but made it very difficult and once I actually get the refund, I will be deleting my account.

Genuinely believe the negative reviews…

Genuinely believe the negative reviews are a bit over the top, guys seriously have a word with yourselves ( maybe this is why you’re still single)

The fact you can cut out all the tedious small talk, have the venue booked on your behalf is a massive win. Yes the location can be frustrating sometimes ( hence why I’ve given it 4 stars), but it’s strides ahead compared to other apps.

With a bit more refinement this dating app will be number 1. If you don’t like the concept then stick to other apps.

Breeze has a fresh idea

Breeze has a fresh idea — real dates instead of endless chatting — but in practice, it’s frustrating and restrictive.

The 5-hour chat window before meeting is too short. Dating is serious — you’re thinking about your future, safety, and comfort. For people with anxiety, busy lives, or who need more time to feel comfortable, this feels rushed. On top of that, the app only reveals the meeting point 30 hours in advance. While spontaneity may be the goal, people have commitments and need more notice to plan around work, transport, or other obligations.

Customer support felt rushed and transactional, prioritizing closing the conversation over providing thoughtful answers. On a dating platform where trust and safety matter, this doesn’t inspire confidence.

Refunds do work — mine came through this morning — but the process takes several days, which is frustrating compared to the instant charge when booking a date.

Women’s safety also needs improvement. For “walk and talk” dates, women should be able to suggest or approve the location. Personally, I’d want to know the route in advance to plan transport, since I don’t drive. Without this choice, the experience feels less safe and comfortable.

Overall, Breeze has a unique foundation and could be great, but right now it falls short on flexibility, safety, and support. That’s why I can only give it 1 star.

Very poor service

Very Poor Service!
You have to pay for a date for drinks at a bar despite clearly stating you don’t drink and have to pay extra to change the date to meeting for a coffee etc.
A guy was selected by their AI for us to meet for drinks in Southampton when we both live on the Isle of Wight.
Ridiculous

⚠️ Warning: Stay Away from Breeze Social – Total Scam ⚠️

I regret ever trusting Breeze Social. I purchased tokens from them for dates they claimed were a “perfect match.” Every single time, after planning and preparing, the date would be canceled on the very same day. This happened repeatedly.

When I finally asked for my money back (since they clearly can’t provide the service they promised), they refused to refund me. That is not just bad service—it’s outright fraud.

Breeze Social takes your money, but they do not deliver what they advertise. No real dates, no accountability, and no refunds.

👉 Save yourself the stress, disappointment, and wasted money. Do NOT use Breeze Social.

The app is fine, but the location options suck

The app is fine. The idea is interesting and I've had some good dates but there are definitely issues.

The biggest issue is the lack of options/preferences for the date locations. Every single date I've been on has been set at least an hour away from me. There was one date where we both lived within a 20 minute drive of each other (on the same side of the city) and our date was scheduled an hour and a half from both of us on the other side of the city. It's very frustrating to have to travel so far for a drink!

Some of the places offer food, but some don't, so if your date is scheduled at 6 or 7, and it's an hour and a half away, you have to skip dinner because there isn't an option to even get a bar snack.

My other gripe is accessibility. Because you can't make any preferences for the location, it means most of the restaurants are not accessible. I'm disabled and I use mobility aids, so not being able to enter the bar without using stairs or not having bathroom access is quite irritating. This is exacerbated by the dates being so far away -- if I'm traveling 1.5 hours there and 1.5 hours back, and then spending 2+ hours on the date, then I don't have bathroom access for at least 5 hours.

Overall, it comes down to the locations. The app is fine. I haven't had any bugs, the experience is interesting, and I've genuinely liked most of the people I've met. But the dates themselves are quite frustrating due to these issues.
