5* for the service and delivery and…

5* for the service and delivery and price. Less one * for the particular ale I chose. Fealt it needed more hops. Was just to me a generic gold ale with a bitter finish. Didn't get much in way of smell or distinct tastes of the hops used. I would try a different ale as I'm sure not all ales suit everyone.
The 5ltr mini keg was easy to use.

Great beers

Great beers, especially enjoyed the Saisons so will definitely be ordering again. The delivery company messed up but Yonder were incredibly helpful and supportive in addressing it.

When will I learn not to buy minikegs?

Yonder were flexible on the collection time, which was nice. They advised to keep the beer in the mini keg chilled, as it was "bright" and this would preserve the life of the beer. Unfortunately, I think it actually tastes better not very chilled, although I say this as a very committed real ale drinker - lager drinkers may have different preferences.

I found the mini keg to be a pain in the backside. The first pint was super-pressurised, spewing out in a gush of foam. Almost as soon as the foam went away on pint 2, the keg lost all flow and so I opened the top vent. This restored a bit of a dribble, but not a good flow. Tilting the mini keg did not help. To be honest, I hate mini-kegs as delivery mechanisms, and would like to see more breweries offer polypins, pottles, and flagons, which have less sensitivity to pressure. When you're talking about beer with a 3 day shelf-life, the keg offers few benefits.

The beer itself was okay. I think it would have been better at 15°c rather than the 8°c I drank it at. It was a bit zingy, sour and citrus for my tastes. I wouldn't buy this in a mini keg again, although I might try a can to see if my judgement was a bit unfair. I do like to see small indy breweries doing okay, so I hope I find something I like from Yonder soon.
