I chose to work with Eva again because I like her way of teaching. This time we decided a 1-1 mentoring session was the best approach to my problem - I was struggling a lot with my digital camera specifically the focussing settings. Eva supported me to learn to use my camera in fully Manual mode and also helped me to set up back button focus which gave me greater control with focussing and composition.
There is no way without her help I would of managed to do this. I have practiced all that she has taught me and feel so much better about my camera and my photography. I am very much looking forward to enrolling on her flash workshop later in the year. Eva is a wonderful soul and teacher and I highly recommend her if you are looking to improve your photography, technical ability and also unlock creative potential! Thank you Eva!

I really enjoy the experience, Eva is a great teacher and she managed to teach all the basics about photography in a very professional and exciting way. I would recommend this workshop to any beginner interested in the subject!

I took the Street photography course and had a fantastic day. Eva talked us through the concepts and then supported us practising then concepts. She provided real-time feedback and was utterly unjudgemental to me as a total beginner. She adapted her teaching approach to our experience and styles. I had a really fun and informative day out.

My 13 yr old son and I had a great day on Brighton seafront with Eva who managed to get me out of auto mode on my recently acquired DSLR and also introduce us both to street photography. Eva did a fantastic job of managing to teach me the basics whilst keeping my son interested (he already knew how to use his camera!) and we both learnt so much. Neither of us had any experience with street photography and Eva introduced us both to different techniques and ideas which we then tried out and got instant feedback on our shots. It was a really hands on and fun way to learn and Eva was a great teacher - knowledgeable, clear, funny, patient and kind. I now really want to get out and about with my camera whereas before I felt a bit intimidated by it. Eva helped give us both more confidence with our photography and now we have an interest that we can can enjoy together. Thank-you Eva!

I had a wonderful one day private workshop with Eva exploring Brighton through my camera. I know the basics but wanted to improve my composition and confidence using my camera. Eva was very patient and keen to support my learning. I picked up a lot of tips and inspiration by stopping at scenes and brainstorming how to capture a shot that would be compelling. I appreciated Eva reviewing my photos and offering suggestions for how they could be improved. It was great to explore different photo opportunities at the Lanes/Laines, grafitti, and the beach, before the weather put a stop to the day. Thank you Eva for your time and expertise. I really enjoyed the day and learned a lot.

I recently completed a course with Eva. My previous photography experience was very limited so she had to start from the beginning. Thankfully she is blessed with the patience of a saint. She has taught me all aspects and inspired me to pursue photography much further. She has the utmost competence and talent to make you better at the art regardless of your experience. I will heartily recommend and promote her services to all that wish to improve their photography.

Eva is a fantastic teacher - I did a beginners photography course with her and learned so much. She really took the time to explain all the elements of DSLR photography and explain the reasoning behind them. I really loved how she encouraged me to really understand and describe what it was I liked about my own photos and why I took them in the way I did - it really helped me to challenge myself take time with my camera and really integrate what she taught me

I did the street photography course with Eva in Brighton on a beautiful day along the seafront. After an informative teaching session we did a practical session featuring different techniques, which pushed to be a more confident street photographer. It was great to try in the context of doing a course, and having done so, I know where my boundaries are when it comes to this sort of photography. Eva is a lovely person, really encouraging and full of joy and enthusiasm. Highly recommended!

I did the Introduction to Photography at Evolution Arts, Abstract Photography and a day’s landscape photography session.
I was new to DSLR photography when I did the introduction. Eva explained the basics in an accessible way, backed up everything with great handouts and further reading, and helped us individually with our own cameras. The assignments were appropriately designed to give us practice and increase confidence.
The Abstract Photography course was an eye opener. I began with certain assumptions about abstract photography and came away with self-expression through photography, play and a fair bit of knowledge about the subject. Eva is happy to share her expertise, but her aim is to instill more than just technical knowledge: her incisive questions also lead to you to question what you want to achieve through your artistic expression.
I had a 1-1 joyful day with Eva, walking and practicing landscape photography mixed with some creative coaching. I found her feedback to be always spot on and especially appreciated the explorations about self-expression and artistic aims.
Eva has huge expertise, great patience and is generous with her time. I would highly recommend her courses.

A really interesting day with Eva: she is so helpful and encouraging, with time and thought to work with me on my photography - everything from the big picture to minute details. I’ve come away with ideas, techniques to try out, and a lot of enthusiasm, and would recommend her thoroughly.

I have done Eva’s Creative Portraiture course, and had a coaching session with her too. She is professional and interested. She is very knowledgeable and seems to genuinely enjoy sharing her expertise. I recently signed up for Eva’s 1 day phone photography, but it turned into a creative 1:2:1 😊, as Eva kindly put the course on, even though I was the only one able to make it.

As well as learning all the basics ( phone functions, composition, technique) Eva’s coached me on finding my own creativity and sharing the world from different viewpoints.

I did the 8 week beginners' course in DSLR photography with Eva. At the first lesson, I could barely turn the camera on - I was so overwhelmed by the sophistication of all the features (not like my trusty analogue camera from 40 years ago!). At that point, it felt like a hopeless task to ever feel comfortable with the kit... but I decided to come back the following week and give it another go.

I'm so glad I did... Eva's skill in breaking down the elements of basic photography, combined with the fun of creative expression, totally transformed my relationship with my camera from one of mistrust to one of dellightful playfulness.

I cant recommend Eva's courses enough - and I'm definitely coming back for more!

Superb coaching and inspiration from a patient and creative photographer.

I’ve been on several of Eva’s photography courses, such as abstract/surreal, portrait, and creative, lasting several weeks. I’ve also attended photo walks for street and night photography. Eva’s focus is to get you to think creatively and push you out of your comfort zone to produce new things and work in different ways, sometimes with constraints that force you to think on your feet and may yield surprising results. The homework has been terrific fun, sometimes involving my partner and friends. I’ve learned much about being more creative, and my photos have benefited.

Eva is an incredible and supportive person who was so generous with her time. I contacted her as the smart phone photography course was full and decided to see if I could have private lessons. She spoke to me over two hours for free on Zoom to discuss my wants and needs. It was an excellent way to find out what I was looking for regarding photography and the bigger picture in my life. The twelve week program which she has developed that combines coaching, exploration of one’s art and photography is a holistic which I have never seen before. I am considering this course largely due to my confidence in Eva as a person, photographer and the fact that she wants to put her clients first. Thank you!

I’m so pleased I signed up for Eva’s one-day workshop for smartphone photography. Having a 6 week old baby has motivated me to put the time in to learn how to take better pictures - I knew the tool I carry around with me all day is capable of taking fantastic photos, but I just didn’t know how to use it.

Now I know about the various camera functions and how to use them, how to compose pictures, and how to edit photos to improve the composition or add effects. And I’ve been inspired to put it into practice and learn more. I don’t just point and click and hope for the best any more. I can now ‘see’ a composition in my mind’s eye and set about creating a picture of it and I’ve been able to create beautiful, emotional, structured photos of my baby boy.

Eva is a brilliant photography teacher and I highly recommend her classes. I have done 2 of Eva's photography workshops - the smart phone photography group class and a one to one abstract photography 3 hour session. Eva encouraged me to think about the photographs I want to take, to look at things in new ways and she provided excellent teaching resources for both sessions. I am a beginner and felt very comfortable with Eva, she is a skilled and patient teacher. I was able to ask questions and received positive encouragement, which was great. I am looking forward to attending another one of her workshops. Thank you Eva!

Eva is a fabulous photographer who is more than happy to share all the tips and tricks of the trade. We had a very enjoyable one-on-one evening, practicing different techniques in night-photography and discussing photography as an art form. Highly recommended 5 anyone who has some basic knowledge in photography and is willing to expand their toolkit.
