Willing friendly crew

The crew were brilliant. This makes all the difference to any move and I thank them both for their friendly willingness. After they had finished bringing in all my storage items and boxes, they had to make a swift get away to help another crew some way away.

..highly recommended.

Totally professional

The most important thing when moving your household is to know the process is in the most capable of hands and to reduce stress as much as possible. From the home visit to provide a quote, to the appointment and the packing and removal, everything was conducted with professionalism. We would particularly want to commend the team who packed our fragile items and loaded our possessions into temporary storage. Lee, Will, Jason and Josh were brilliant - efficient, good humoured and polite. We couldn't recommend Reeves Britannia enough.

Recently moved using these guys, and they were exceptional. Craig and Sam were superb. There was nothing that they were not happy to do and moved us with no fuss and a delightful and friendly 'cando' attitude. I cannot rate their service high enough. Would thoroughly recommend.

Your drivers manners!

Nothing to do with your removals which I am sure are super. But your drivers could do with learning some manners. I don’t expect, when turning right off a busy A 36, to be hooted at and given rude gestures by one of your drivers who had to stop behind me.

Super service

The guys made our move so much easier, they were in and out of the old address within a couple of hours and then the same at the other end, including dismantling beds, baby cribs, tables, chairs, sofa’s etc. Super friendly and efficient service and they arrived bang on time which I am stickler for personally. Thank you for everything.

You lost one item and damaged others

You lost one item, clearly marked on the packing list, and then you claimed that losing it was not negligence on your part.
That is not only negligent it verges on unethical.
You damaged two office chairs and claimed that this was not down to your staff, so not your fault. Someone did the damage whilst the chairs were in your care.
Extremely disappointed by the company's attitude.
I was offered £10 by the insurance you brokered.

As you know, your claim for these items has been settled in full under the terms of your insurance cover, purchased at the time of booking your move. While we take every possible step to ensure our customers belongings are treated with the greatest care, there are, unfortunately, occasions where items may be lost or damaged particularly on long-distance relocations. For this reason we always recommend insurance cover to provide reassurance should the unexpected occur.

Please accept our sincere apologies for any upset or inconvenience caused. We are pleased that your claim was resolved promptly and fairly.

Britannia Beckwith (Brighton) highly recommended

Britannia Beckwith (Brighton) just completed a move from Germany to the UK for us and everything went really smoothly, from the initial video call with Cameron and the organisation of everything by Sammi -both really helpful- through to the removal itsself. There were a couple of hitches with access for the pick up and the two men, Mark and Lee were cool as cucumbers. They were fabulous, worked non stop, dealing with some really awkward and heavy items and were cheerful throughout. By the time they left we were sad to see them go. A very positive experience.

Smooth, Stress-Free Experience on Both Sides of the Atlantic

Initial assessment, clear understanding conveyed regarding expectations, and regular, consistent contact, as processes unfolded, allowing for adaptability to changes on the ground, underscoring the experience and understanding of what can go wrong or change in an international move. Also, demeanor of those actual, in-person contact movers - the ones literally doing the heavy lifting.

Super helpful company

Super helpful company, would recommend. The in person visit to quote was better than other companies who just did online, and Amanda in the office was great with any questions we had. Removal guys very helpful on the day.

Great Experience

March 26th and 6th June-
The team from Britannia/Simon Long were great on both exiting our old property and unloading into our new property. Two separate teams but all were polite professional and very efficient.
Arriving earlier than planned but in a good positive way and not inconvenient to us.
The talked through their plans on how they would execute the process for the day. In particular Kingsley and his team who worked with us on March 26th 2025 were brilliant.
Price wise the quote was very reasonable including storage for 10weeks, and would recommend to anyone for future removals.
Thanks to all the teams making these emotional and stressful days a lot less than they could have been.

Avoid this company at all costs

Avoid this company at all costs. Absolutely awful experience from start to finish.

Our family move very frequently and therefore have plenty of experience with different moving companies and we can easily say that giving Britannia a chance was a huge mistake. They are completely not up to standard and cannot be compared with other international shipping companies such as Pickford’s (UK) and SDC International Shipping (USA).

1. Took multiple pick up days to load up a modest amount of furniture from our apartment.
2. Informed us that the furniture wasn’t able to fit into a 20ft container - the same furniture was all shipped in a 20ft container with no problems 10 months previously
3. High value, expensive items such as TV, smart crib, sofa (and countless others) were not wrapped/packaged correctly for international shipping
4. TV, Smart crib, vases, lamps and more items all arrived completely broken
5. Customer service and the manner with which they spoke to my wife throughout the process was completely unacceptable.

Unfortunately the insurance only covered us for “complete loss” of the items and therefore the fact they arrived completely broken and unusable means we couldn’t get them reimbursed.

Overall we were astounded at the level of incompetence at almost every stage of the move and we fully regret having given them a chance.

Truly amazing, from start to finish.

We moved last year with BR Petersfield and the service was BEYOND exceptional. The team we worked with were so efficient. Everything was done exactly as promised. They included a motorcyclist to take care of our bikes which was really appreciated. He was a nice guy and we felt confident knowing he was taking care of the bikes given his specific knowledge. They worked so carefully and not a single thing was damaged or lost. I honestly can’t recommend these guys enough. Moving house is stressful and working with BR was the absolute best part of the process.
