Very slick and efficient

Used Britannia RyansMove Wembley to move from London to Nottingham 28-29 July 2025. 5 men, 2 vans, 2-day job. It was all very slick and efficient. The men were very polite and friendly and worked very hard. Rang me before their arrival on both days to give ETA. Emptied my 2nd floor (no lift) London flat into the lorries in under 3 hours, and unloaded in Nottingham in even less time. They took the stress out of the experience. I am very grateful.

The delivery truck arrived promptly

The delivery truck arrived promptly, having driven down from Middlesborough
The two guys were brilliant, especially as they were delivered a curve ball at the storage location when one of the two gates would not open which meant they were not able to drive the truck to the storage unit doors. This meant they had a long walk from the roadside with all our items. With no complaints they got on with the job and our possessions were moved into the unit and packed securely.
They went above and beyond when they gave me a spare paddock when the one we had was too big.
Can’t thank them enough for a great job.
Great job guys.

avoid

avoid. Everything went well at first, they packed as agreed. then they turned up on the day with not enough vans, and head office wouldn't send anymore, which means the movers had to make two trips, delaying our move by hours. our stuff was dirty upon arrival (the vans were dirty). I ended up having to do assembly of some items, despite paying for them to do it, as it was the only way to get them out the house before 8pm. When i complained, compensation was agreed, but they never paid and have now ignored my last two emails. they only get 2 stars because they didn't break anything during the move bar one slate placemat.

We moved from Chirk wrexham to farndon…

We moved from Chirk wrexham to farndon Cheshire on Monday, the staff in the office in chirk were very helpful and professional.
The lads on the two vans Andy, Charlie,Aaron,and Luke polite helpful and very professional, couldn't do enough, we would like to thank you all.

KEPP AWAY-EASTBOURNE

We had an inventory taken before we moved, everything seemed very professional and straightforward enough. We were told that the packing process would take two days. The first day two guys arrived and did an hour of packing then left, on the day of moving they arrived at 8 am with a large lorry and a smaller one, there was no way they would get all our stuff in there, and there was no way they were going to pack everything before 12 midday. Let me tell you they were awful, they ruined our ottoman bed, our chandelier was broken, it was just a nightmare, We did not vacate the property until late afternoon. Anyway to cut a very long and stressful story short, we took out their insurance and it was old for new so we never got the value of our chandelier back and as for the bed that was only a month old we had to fight to get full compensation back as we were not letting that one go.
My advice is keep away from this company, the office part might be professional but the people they use to move you is a joke.

I had a visit from a man who assessed the job. I specifically asked if the sofas and glass cupboards would be covered/wrapped to protect them. His reply was, "Yes." I was told that the job would be done over 2 days and the men would do an overnight en route arriving next morning. I paid for them to pack, dismantle and reassemble beds.
The job turned out to be very different. My things were packed any which way. The sofas and bookshelves were not protected - a gold chair is now black around the edges.
They did not do an overnight but returned to base and travelled up next day meaning that I had no need to book my elderly and nervous into a cattery for the first ever time in his life. They claimed there was a good reason but yet failed to communicate this to me until I rang the office just before the van was was leaving? They had 5 hours to communicate that to me and I could have changed the arrangement. But obviously they didn't think it mattered. Plainly and simply I regard this communication as a matter of courtesy but they failed to show such courtesy to me.
On arrival they damaged an oak chest of drawers. They carried out another set of oak drawers in the pouring and failed to wipe them down. They made excuses about why the bed couldn't be re-assembled properly (it has been taken down too many times - rubbish it was new 3 years before move). I have a sneaking suspicion they were saying anything to avoid taking responsibility for any damage or failure on their part. They damaged my house. I paid for insurance offered by Britannia Bradshaw to cover against damage in the move and yet they refer me to my house insurance. So what did I paid extra insurance for?
The owner of the firm was so sarcastic when I spoke to him and kept speaking over me. I'm sure he thought he could get away with talking a female in that way. He was rude to uttermost and totally unprofessional. I will never use this firm again and intend to share my experience.
The amount they charged warranted a better service than the one I received. This firm was little better than a few men with a van. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. The lack of communication, the lack of respect for my furniture and possessions and the personal lack of respect shown to me by the manager and his team is unacceptable. Good luck to anyone who decided to use this firm for their move - insure yourself to the hilt and don't bother making complaints about their service - nothing is ever their fault. I gave them 2 stars for turning up at both ends.

Terrible communication and dishonest and very, very rude

Yes, difficult circumstances with my divorce, but nearly impossible to deal with when I kept scalping me changing the price. They stated it was all inclusive with standard customs, and now they want me to pay the customs standard clearance in Australia, which is part of the contract. It is dishonest. They charge me for not picking up a whole lot of things and then when an extra carpet came over they charged me for that. They tried to convince me that a cushion cover with it was a carpet and acted like they actually knew what they were talking about when they had no idea what they were doing. The boys are great the management as usual, just using lip service and not telling the truth Trying to sculpt me. I’ve been so patient with them. They are trying to make me pay double bubble standard typical techniques sorry to say but dishonest. I spoke to one of the managers over a similar job a couple of years ago, and he abuses and yell yelled at me I cannot recommend this company unless you’re associated with them or you have a very simple job to do locally which they seem to be good with local removals in Petersfield they were also very unkind to me, not wanting me to talk to the Removalist on the day to vary a pick up. I had to send a friend around cause I’m in Australia to go and organizing it with them very inconvenient and just turning their back on their mistakes and just constantly denying anything that they did wrong as you expect with a poor operator

Would highly recommend Britannia

Would highly recommend Britannia Movers, they arrived on time, moved all our office equipment efficiently, even to the point that they had to dismantle some of the furniture and reassemble at our new premises. The guys were very friendly and made sure that everything was done before they left.
