London to Oxford

The guys were very friendly and amicable. They were helpful and very careful. They worked very hard. They did leave my ironing board and a wall picture behind but nothing I couldn't handle hence the 4 star rating rather than 5!

The service from the movers at both ends of the journey were fantastic, hard working, kind and nice to have in your house! The organisation from Katie in the office was also excellent, everything went extremely smoothly, couldn't have been happier.

Took advantage of vulnerable customer

Despite paying for the full service and using them for storage for 10 months, the movers left my elderly month with heavy furniture blocking hallways and rooms and did not place it where she asked. They took advantage of her vulnerable position to do the minimum necessary, leaving the house in an unmanageable state for her. Such as shame as the initial collection was very efficient.

Following a thorough review of the concerns raised in your online feedback, we would like to provide the following response:

Your mother relocated from a seven-bedroom property in France to a two-bedroom home in the UK. Her belongings were stored in six containers at our operational branch while the purchase of her new home was being finalised. The total volume of her belongings came to 1,475 cubic feet, which, understandably, exceeded what could comfortably fit into her new, smaller property.

Once your mother was ready for delivery, the operational branch scheduled a two-day delivery window. Due to the volume of items and the need to assemble and carefully place furniture in the reduced space, the crew spent considerable time ensuring everything was arranged to her satisfaction. As a goodwill gesture, the team returned on a third day to reassemble the dining table and complete the final touches.

On that third day, your mother requested that a large linen press be relocated to a bedroom. Unfortunately, the crew had limited availability due to prior commitments. To reposition the item would have required disassembly and the movement of numerous boxes already placed in the bedroom. While we offered to return at a later date for an additional charge to complete this task, the offer was declined. We are pleased to hear that you were able to move the item successfully yourself.

We’re also glad to hear that all your mother’s belongings fit into her new home and that there was no damage during the move.

We are genuinely sorry that you were not fully satisfied with the service provided. At Britannia, we are committed to delivering a high standard of service and take all feedback seriously as part of our continuous improvement.

A job well done

The team arrived on schedule and put down carpet protection. They worked solidly and then unloaded everything smoothly, putting items where requested. Everything arrived complete and undamaged at the new address.

Really not good

Really not good

Agreed to a quote to be carried out at my property for an overseas relocation and had a visit last week, emailed numerous times for the quote/price to get things going.

Not had any responses to my own or partners emails.

Chasing this up has been a nightmare
