Consumers expressed deep frustration over unexpected fines, unexpected charges, and unhelpful customer service appeals that never seemed to succeed. Its a scam and are goons AVOID

So I parked and paid to attend my TLS appointment using the app, as we are not allowed any mobiles inside the TLS office, I was hardly 2-3 minutes late and these scammers did not send any correspondence at all and deliberately passed it to their crime partner DCBL forcing to pay £170 for 2 minutes and then are misusing Supreme Court's name to support their illegal acts. I am filing a suit, seeing the google reviews for their scams. They should be banned

Brittania Wrongly Claim To Have Issued An Appeal Response

We proved that a parking fee had been paid to - and retained by - Brittania parking who had issued a PCN which we appealed. Brittania failed to respond to the appeal within their own published timescales. When we contacted them they immediately stated a letter had been sent but failed to provide any proof this had been done. We issued a Data Access Request and this indicated no letter had been sent, Though we have no evidence of dishonesty Brittania Parking's claim to have sent a letter therefore fails and is, at best, a mistake. In spite of having been proved wrong in their claim Brittania are still pursuing the PCN. Whatever the outcome we have the moral satisfaction of being right and probably, by continuing to fight the case, costing Brittania considerably more than the PCN charge
We would urge anyone appealing a Brittania PCN to issue a Data Access Request at the same time (use the Data Commissioner's Office website) in order to obtain all data relevant to the PCN.

Pre-paid and booked to park for a 7 day…

Pre-paid and booked to park for a 7 day cruise at the Triangle Car Park in Southampton in December.

When we got home, received 3 parking tickets (no idea why 3 and not one for each day we were parked), which we appealed, giving them details of our payment etc but the appeal was not upheld and we were advised that the charge would be £60 for each offence, if we paid by the end of January.

Grudgingly accepted we would have to pay, in order to stop the price going up but then decided to go back to the company we had used for the booking -Holiday Extras, who were really quick at getting back to us.

When we tried to pay on 30.1.25, in order to prevent the price going up, it was not possible to do this or get to speak to a human being.

We were later informed by Holiday Extras that the parking fines had been rescinded and we did not have to pay. On checking with them, they confirmed we had parked in the right place so no idea why we received the tickets in the first place.

This shows that Britannia Parking are a load of chancers, who will try and charge you, even when you have paid to park. Keep going with your appeals/asking questions!

Family meal in Hungerford in January

Family meal in Hungerford in January. Entered car details at the reception. A few weeks later received £100 fine with threats as early payment period passed. Without the supposed first letter of course. Paid as I don't want the hassle but what a bunch of (no expletive sufficient).

The saga continues

Second review, same sentiment as my first, this time with some flavour.
Got a fine for parking outside Smyth toys in inverness. Bit of a famous car park, it's been in the local paper and had a MSP(Member of the Scottish Parliament for all you none scottish peeps) up in arms about it, but I digress.
The charge points were out of order, every single one of them. How was I going to pay for parking? I cried into the darkness of the Scottish Highlands at 3pm (I'm taking some dramatic licence here but you get the jist).
Why, by way of calling or online of course, what a silly question.
But what if your phone is playing silly beggers and is adamant that we are in a technology dead zone and insists that it will be on emergency only?
By calling or paying online.
This was the response when I appealed this charge.
Britannia Parking, fix your blooming (insert favourite naughty word) pay points. After all these fines, it's not like you guys are short a quid or two.

actually want to give a minus star…

actually want to give a minus star rating but can't. These bully boys should not be allowed to inflict their unreasonable behaviour against the general public. We parked at Kendal Fell car park on the 9th September while on holiday. On return from another holiday in October we found
a final demand waiting for us for failing to pay to park at said car park and the appeal date had expired (by one day) this is the first we heard of it. To cut a very long story short these bullies have persistently told us to pay £170 (increase from £60) despite the fact we have proof of payment on credit card transaction and we left in the allocated time we have paid for. We apparently entered a digit incorrectly when applying for ticket. Our credit card transaction states time and place we paid and the photo
of our car entering tallies and we left in good time within allocated ticket purchase. What did we do wrong! Human error and we have had to pay £60 to this despicable company. This is so unfair, we never ever cheat anybody , thet are so unreasonable to deal with. Other carparking organisations don't act like bullies understanding human error. Be warned!

They deserve 0 stars.

They deserve 0 stars.
I have received three PCNs even though I have staff parking, advised them but the fines did not get cancelled. My manager contacted Britannia directly and had those fines cancelled. I have been chasing Britannia for a confirmation letter. You cannot speak to anyone on the phone nor do they reply to your emails. @Britannia, please action. I will report this to third party. your way of practice is illegal.

Disgusting company

Disgusting company. Paid via machine but still got a fine through the post. Can't appeal as the link is dead. Can't email but you can write a letter but you can't call anyone to see if they have received it. Never will I park in a car park managed by this company. Total scammers.

If I could give less star

If I could give less star, I would give minus to this company. It’s a legal criminal service. Paid a £16.20 parking fee which I’m able to prove with bank statement, but getting a £60 parking charge. The company is lack of customer service, customer support or customer understanding. You can’t talk to any of the agents as no one picking up the phone and no online agent, but they want your money.

Appalling company

Appalling company, disengenuous, and questionable business practices. The ethics of this faceless organisation use stealth tactics to generate pipeline offences and then retrospectively hit the motorist weeks later. BPA is not the high bar that it needs to be either, but that’s another story. We need to make sure people are aware of this company as they will attempt to use scare tactics by using the same naming convention as real fines (PCN) use! One is a penalty charge notice, and it needs paying the other which is a parking charge notice / an invoice, is an alleged breach of a contract you probably did not enter into! The later is only enforceable at small claims court! Rotten to the core, what a company!!

got a parking ticket on Boxing day…

got a parking ticket on Boxing day evening outside Bromley Police station, I do have a blue badge permit which was has been ignored, so have appealed, I thought bank holidays were void of parking restrictions!
Need to write to local MP to get rid of these thieving scumbags, in all honesty I don't think you need to pay private land PCNs?

Britannia Parking Fines

On 27 De 2024 I wrote that Britannia Parking sent to me a Parking Charge for £100 for driving to the road leading to Waitrose food department. I replied that at no time I parked on the road leading to the store: they did not show any evidence of my parking on the road.
Today I received their response stating that I should provide to them proof of purchase at Waitrose for them to review my appeal.
I find their response astonishing. It is not business of Britannia Parking of me shopping at Waitrose.
Britannia Parking has only the power to issue Parking Charge for cars parking on the road leading to Waitrose. Instead they sent to me parking charge for driving through the road.
This is astonishing and should be stopped.

Absolutely shocking and ruthless

Absolutely shocking and ruthless , no understanding about lack of local parking due to a massive new development in West Byfleet going . Waitrose cat park wasn't busy, and only place I cd park to get to dentist .. not sure where locals are supposed to park

Brother even received a notice from parking at a pub by river at 6pm, pitch black car park empty, and didn't enter his reg in machine. The whole area was deserted as middle of winter and dark.

This company has turned the area…

This company has turned the area between Bromley police station and Waitrose into a no-parking trap, issuing unjustified fines to anyone driving down the road—even if they don’t stop in the restricted area. We have clear evidence from their own images showing our vehicle was in motion, yet they still demanded a bank statement or receipt to prove we were shopping at Waitrose. This behaviour is nothing short of outrageous and feels utterly exploitative.
