Just received my beautiful climbing rose - very impressed with the quality of the rose and the packaging. Lovely healthy rose, even got some buds on it, thoroughly recommend.

The quality of the potted roses I received today, September 3rd., is absolutely outstanding. Vigorous, leafy, still budding (hybrid musk ‘Felicia’), well established.

British Roses eh? Scottish customers beware - they don’t ship free north of the border, rather ask an extortionate delivery cost. There are other plant suppliers who will gladly ship free! Not cleve... See more

Highly commended

Have just had my peonies delivered from British Roses (Rumwoods Ltd). I am thrilled. They’re fresh, healthy and in bud. The compost still moist and the packaging extremely well considered. The plants inside were well supported to prevent movement. I’m often reluctant to purchase online as Ive sometimes been unlucky with the items not living up to the promise. In this instance, my expectations were far surpassed and I would highly recommend them to gardeners. I will most certainly be buying from them again.

A strong specimen.

I've ordered from them before. They have good strong stock. I just had the groundcover rose Hampshire delivered and it is a strong specimen. The same rose bought from David Austin is dwarfed in comparison. Very excited about this one. Thank you Rumwoods Nursery.

Beautiful healthy plant delivered within 24 hours!!

I ordered a Ballerina Shrub Rose at a very competitive price. 24 hours later a very healthy, lovely looking plant arrived. I am very happy, thank you. I was a little worried about ordering at first as they do not have PayPal as a payment option. But no problems at all. Highly recommended.

Bad roses, company not contactable

Brought 2 roses, 1 came with severe powdery mildew requiring most of the leaves to be cut away, the other one doesn’t shown much signs of fungus but came with many aphids. A week later, this other rose shown severe cankers that require most of the branches to be cut right to the bottom. The company is taking this ‘can’t be reached by phone and not answering email’ approach. It’s not the sick and infested roses that made this bad, it happens. It’s the dodging responsibility bit - avoid!!

Excellent service

Recently bought a potted rose as a gift.
It was delivered in three days, very well packed and in excellent condition. The recipient was absolutely delighted.
Will definitely be using British Roses again.
Thank you

Previously reputable - now shoddy customer care

Bought three bareroot roses. Planted immediately in pots (temporarily) to move house. Only one survived. Company was speedy in response, but completely dismissive - scrabbling for reasons to suggest it was my fault... planted too high (planted at the soil level clear from their marks on arrival), pots too shallow (they are deep roses pots!) Previously used them to buy roses for my gardening clients - and was impressed - but won’t again. They’ve gone seriously downhill.

Excellent service and plants

I wasn't sure what to expect when using this site as the roses seem to be cheaper than most places, especial for the David Austin varieties and I couldn't find any reviews of the company online.

I needn't have worried, my order of three potted roses was received within 48hrs. All three roses were very healthy and good quality plants which I got for a VERY reasonable price. The plants were well packaged to avoid damage and he delivery prices are clear and reasonable.

I will definitely be ordering more from British Roses in future!
