I honestly can’t recommend Pip enough. Finding a mechanic you can genuinely trust is rare, but Pip has always been reliable, honest, and gone above and beyond every single time I’ve needed help with my car.

He explains things properly, never pushes unnecessary work, and always tries to keep costs as reasonable as possible. What really stands out is how understanding and helpful he is, he’s even allowed me to split payments, which took a huge amount of stress off my shoulders.

It’s clear he genuinely cares about his customers and not just making money. If you want a mechanic who is trustworthy, fair, and actually looks after people, I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

BRS are a top garage in Banbury. The service is great and the team are very professional and they look after you. There is no pressure sales, and they do provide great advice. Car had a health check last year and today MOT service. If you value your car, then BRS is the garage for you...

Took my car in for a new clutch and flywheel carried out the job very well thanks.

Iam unable to respond to the garages response on the review I gave. Their response is inaccurate and is typical of the misleading communication we have been receiving for18 months.Avoid. There must be better garages around Banbury. We just got unlucky.

Excellent service yet again from Pip and the crew. No flannel, straight to what’s required and how long it will take.
Now use regularly for servicing, couldn’t be more happy.

BRS AUTOMOTIVE in Banbury did a fantastic job repairing a central locking issue on my Evoque. The same fault was left unfixed when I initially took it to a different well-known car repair service, despite spending over £300. BRS were professional, polite, fast and effective. I would not hesitate to recommend them to other car users. I will certainly use them again.

Car wouldnt start sometimes so intermitent fault. I bit the bullet eventually and tendered for quotes to fit a new starter motor that I got off eBay. I chose BRS due to speed of getting back to me, price and quickness of booking in the car. I took the car into the Garage in the morning and the car was ready in the afternoon all fixed. However, the starter motor I had purchased new on eBay did not work when they fitted it. Luckily the mechanic had a look at the old starter motor and found some loose connections so he fixed the old starter. Great innitiative and honesty as he also tidied up a few more problems with the car and no extra charge. The mechanic also wrote to me with an email explaining the problem with the faulty starter motor so that I could send it back to eBay with some proof of fault. I would reccomend this garage.

I took my car to brs for a service and some repairs. The work was done to a high standard and very reasonably priced. Staff and customer service was great. Can’t fault them would highly recommend.

To begin: August 30 2021.
My campervan broke down whilst on holiday on the above date. I had it lifted to holiday location as we had only just started our holiday. I had a mobile mechanic come out and look at it for me but couldnt fix it. but charged me £140 just to put on a new exhaust. He then recommended someone he knew nearby who would be able to repair it as he had an experienced specialist there who knew all about air cooled engines. My van was duly loaded onto green flag truck and delivered to BRS AUTOMATIVE in Banbury. He was sure it would be ready in a couple of weeks. We managed to get a hire car through green flag to get home. To cut a very long story short I was given the following exsuses. Engine dismantled and sent for compresion testing. (two weeks later)sorry they not returned yet due to fuel shortage. 13 September 2021. yes parts have landed end of the week.20/09/2021 yes 100% be ready to collect Monday. 27/2021 boarded train to Banbury . 08.04am on train telephone call "Sorry van not ready think it the carburretors. throughout to following 2 months I was given more excuess about carburretors and were hydrosonically cleaned rebuilt and balanced. still the van failed to keep going. also lied about test drives of 9, 30, and 6 miles as the vans clock has only amassed 8 miles in total since breakdown. also told me they had spent 100 hours on it and at a later date it was 70 hours. also fitted a new electric fuel pump telling me the mechanical one was struggling. and fitted a new starter motor. By December two weeks before Christmas they told me that they and campervan specialist were baffled. I then had the van recovered to a Air cooled specialist only a few miles from me. It arrived on 12 January 2022. Today Monday 17 January 2022. I have just returned with it fully repaired. BRS AUTOMATIVE had it 4.5 months charged me £500 and I got nothing but pain and frustration. Specialist fixed in 2 days 4.5 hours charge £269. faults found : faulty points, coil, condenser and oil leak from push rod guides. So please be aware these people will lie to you if you are over the hill and far away. I live 160 miles away.
a very hard lesson learned, but a happy ending.

Identified major problems with my VW, fixed them at very short notice and even persuaded the supplying dealer to pay for them, were pleasant and helpful throughout. Magic and excellent customer service.
