My both flught got delayed.
On yhe way back to Sydbey, my original flight was scheduled to depart at 10:15 PM on 22 June. However, the flight was rescheduled to 1:00 PM the following day, resulting in a delay of almost 15 hours. Furthermore, the rescheduled flight was delayed again from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
The most concerning issue was the lack of communication from your staff. Passengers were left waiting without clear information about the reason for the delay or updates regarding the departure time. This caused considerable inconvenience, stress, and uncertainty.
In addition, the overnight hotel accommodation provided was below an acceptable standard. The room and surrounding environment did not appear clean and did not meet reasonable expectations for passenger accommodation during a flight disruption.
As a result of these circumstances, I experienced significant inconvenience and disruption to my travel plans. I respectfully request appropriate compensation for the delay and the unsatisfactory handling of the situation.
I would appreciate your prompt review of this matter and look forward to your response.
Kind regards,
Hyunhee

I didn’t like that I was forced to spend more money just to book this flight. I wasn’t happy about that. It cost me 40$ more.

Everything worked flawlessly and the price of the extra baggage was cheap

We rented a car with our flight through budgetair.com.au, who evidently use Cartrawler as a service. Cartrawler had booked a car through an agent called surprice. We had a horrendous experience I'll detail below but do NOT use Cartrawler or budgetair.com.au's car booking as you may get Surprice. Nobody did anything to help. I received no car, no refund, and my wife was verbally abused and physically intimidated
My wife arrived to collect her car at the Manchester office having booked this through budgetair.com.au, it was an included tick-box option. When she got there the whole thing was shady, she was picked up in an unmarked van from the airport and driven to a nondescript industrial estate off the airport entirely.
She waited in a waiting area and then was ushered into an office with a man where the door was closed behind her. My wife is a British citizen, has driving licenses in the UK and Australia, but the man said an international permit was required and if she didn't have one she had to buy expensive extra insurance. My wife said it wasn't required, it wasn't in the documentation that it's required, you can drive for up to 12 months in the UK on an Australian license, and even if she only had that license she had a UK license anyway.
That's your standard bait and switch with these dodgy car hire places, but then it got really bad
At that point the man became abusive. He told her that she'd only paid 150 for the car, and yelled at her that there was no way he was going to let her drive away in a 25,000 car without her spending more money on the insurance.
My wife said she wanted to leave now and asked how to get out, since she was shut into an office with this guy alone. He just shouted at her the way she got in, she left and was essentially just left outside in a nondescript industrial estate in Manchester, on her own with nobody around.
I called budgetair to ask for a refund, they referred me to some site I've never heard of called cartrawler. They have an automated bot with no human behind it who takes your case and says 20 day response
Do not use this company, they're a scam company. Where the heck do they get off threatening a woman, travelling on her own. I'm actually considering calling the police

The payment gateway was pathetic, it took me 3 attempts to get the ticket confirmation however the money got debited from my card in first 2 attempts as well..
And now I have to follow up with PayPal and with my bank to dispute the payment and get the refund.
I am really pissed of and won’t use Budget Air in my life..
Also I will use social media to spread the word if I don’t get my refund within 2 days
The worst experience of my life

I've been trying for over 7 hours to resolve an issue with changing the name on my ticket, which is incorrect, and neither chat nor phone has provided any help.

The prices are very competative so that is awesome, however it was extremely annoying to try and navigate how to check luggage. Now i have to go to the airline to correct the issue.

I booked a Thai Airways flight from Bangkok to Bali for October 2026 through BudgetAir for $649. My booking was cancelled without my knowledge or authorisation, and I was issued a refund of just $63.
When I investigated, the live chat screenshots I was provided told the whole story: the cancellation was requested by someone who had no connection to my booking whatsoever. The booking number and flight details used to make the cancellation request, do not match my booking in any way. The cancellation was processed at 3:01am on a Saturday morning, a time at which I was asleep.
The customer service throughout this process has been dismissive and unhelpful. They have refused to explain how a cancellation so clearly unconnected to my booking could have been authorised maintaining that I have made the cancellation of my booking and have refunded 10% of my booking.
I have been left with no option but to dispute the charge through my bank.
I will not be using BudgetAir again and would strongly caution others against booking through this website.
