I ordered a full set of blinds for my new house . I am very happy with them ,the staff were fantastic.The company is very well organised, the staff are very helpful and friendly and efficient.The prices were good too

Quick at solving issues and kindness

I had an issue with the way one of the blinds was fitted due to the size and the company made me a new blind and fitted the old one on another window and free of charge which meant the world to me as kindness is something you don’t get these days so very appreciative, thank you, was very quick at sorting the issue aswell

Communicate better!!

I ordered blinds for 4 half-round windows, which sit above my regular windows. They look good, but unfortunately the sales rep did not let me know that I would have to open/close them one slat at a time!! There are 25 slats in each blind. I am extremely disappointed. Living in South Carolina, I’d like to open and close the blinds as the sun travels around the house, but 100 individual slats??? I don’t think so. After I spoke with the rep, he informed me that I could replace the blinds with a different style that does open/close with one push of the pole, for half price! After $4000, half price wasn’t do-able. Why not give this information up front? VERY disappointed!

Multiple issues and NO response!

Multiple issues and NO response!

I've have numerous issues with my blinds and the owner will not respond to my texts, calls, emails.
It's like a scam! And there is no recourse, because when you call the main number it's just an answering service. Each location is 'locally owned' so Budget Blinds takes absolutely no responsibility for anything.

Of course we know about a trip charge…

Of course we know about a trip charge for services, but every time they come out they repair so much as for them to come back again! Why can't they just do the work right the first and be done with it, not 2 or 3 times! Now another rolls up and down plastic cord has broken which they replaced a month or so ago! Haven't called them back for one cord! Did not check their work, my mistake.

Happy Customer

My experience was great after I contacted budget blinds a couple days later designer Moriah Deford came to measure and bring samples she was very helpful and friendly . Eight weeks later blinds were ready and installer Jeremy came and in 15 minutes kitchen and livingroom blinds were up. Fast and ffriendly service I recommed Budget Blinds Thank You Kathy Martin

Unbelievably good service

I installed roller blinds in two properties four years ago, recently one roller blind malfunctioned and required parts. Expecting the company to say ‘it was too long ago and we should buy a new blind’, they responded by sending the parts at no charge which is unbelievable and got me out of a hole in super quick time. I have had no hesitation in recommending Budget Blinds to my mates and prospective customers.
Top quality blinds too.

I’ve just had blinds fitted today and the service was excellent. Very efficient service from the doled of returning my call to measuring then fitting. Great choice of colours and designs. The blinds are excellent quality at an affordable price. Thank you for a great job.

Bad Experience

This review is long overdue. I have owned these shutters for 7 months. I would not be surprised if Budget Blinds threaten me to remove this. Here is my story: My brother in south Texas had Budget Blinds, plantation shutters. He was pleased, and we liked them. We lived in the Dallas area, and used our local Budget Blinds. We chose a slightly different style, and we liked ours too. In my area, I was told sometimes they use a third-party vendor. Regardless, we liked them. The only negative was watching them assemble them on my driveway. However, I saw no marring or scars. Then we moved to Florida to a brand-new house, and called our local Budget Blinds.
In the consultation, I realized my windows were different from my last house. The windows in this house have wood frames, and my previous windows had sheetrock frames. I told the lady, “I need to be able to tilt my windows inwards for cleaning.” She said, “You won’t be able to do that.” I said, “Then you don’t have what I want.” She stammered some and stated, “Let me make a call.” Whatever was discussed, she had a solution. She threw around words such as “direct mount.” We also discussed hidden hinges. I did not recall having to make that decision in my previous house, and it did not make a difference to me, however, I chose hidden hinges, which I did not get.
I thought my issue was going to be my own fault, about not being able to fully open the blind/shutter to tilt the window inward for cleaning, because of having furniture or cabinets in the way. But that is not why I could not tilt my window inward. It is because of the thick light-blocking strips they install on the sides.
When the second blind was installed, I halted the installation to address my concerns. He went outside to make a private phone call to Budget Blinds. I let the installation continue. I thought I could buy some screens that could be installed and removed from the outside, but I was wrong (too late now.) After each blind was installed, he twisted my window (bottom half) in such a way that he could “prove” that it could be done, and took a photo! It is NOT easy to do what he did, especially without scratching things.
Installer said some of my windows were out-of-square. Well, someone from Budget Blinds did measure my windows beforehand.
Also, Budget Blinds did not make me aware that one of the shutters in the garage, could not be fully opened because it hits the garage door rail. They could have suggested a shutter that opens from the middle.
They say it is my fault, that I signed the contract. In the contract, each shutter is 16 detailed lines long, and did not mean much to me, a lay person to shutters.
I will never be able to fully clean the back of my windows. It bothers me enough that I often think of removing them but hesitant knowing I paid $7,635, and must purchase other blinds and drapes and deal with repairs. If/when I get new windows, these will go into the trash. They will probably go sooner.
I do see mars on these, and a little warping here and there, where the slats look a little bowed. They say the material they use is according to your area (humidity?)
I was told after installation, when I was discussing these things with the installer, they were not too pleased with this employee who did the consultation but afraid to fire her. She had a history of not writing things down.

Excellent service

I had a great experience - especially installation. It only took about 10 minutes. I do wish there more fabrics to choose from, and that they'd give an update along the way. Prices are steep, bit the product is great. Everyone was knowledgeable.

Franchised, So They Dont Care

So I was reluctant to write this review. So I purchased a 10k set back in 2022. They were purchased by someone else, and they came out back in July to honor the warranty. I was willing to pay to get it fixed, they came out and tried to fix it. I spoke to the owner and he told me that he reached out to the company and they were going to send him the charger. Nope. Its been now 7 months, I think Ive waited long enough to write this review.

Funny thing is they were quick to give me quote to get new blinds on some of the windows I didnt do before. Once I turned it down because the price was a bit too high, I havent heard from them. I have so many emails back and forth with this company. I get not wanting to warrant the lifetime warranty because you purchase the company, but I cant open or close the blinds because they never followed back up. 7 months....could you imagine if i purchase the blinds they quoted me 7 months ago.

Infinite stars for Fredericton, just do it!

If I could give infinite stars I would. IMO Tracey's knowledge is the best in the business. Just an FYI we did get 2 other quotes as well, so glad we didn't go with the others. We ordered the blinds for our custom home and some were big a** blinds. The first time around they didn't work out they rippled really bad in the living room and kitchen so they got new blinds ordered and installed and the second set were still rippling in the living room and still didn't look good, so they were reordered for a third time but we decided to try a different material and they worked out just perfect. I love their business model of making things right and going out of their way to do it. I would highly recommend them if you are on the fence, do it, so totally worth it, you can't go wrong!
