It’s impossible to even join this…
It’s impossible to even join this dating site in the app. It keeps repeating the security checks, and you can never get past them. Hopeless app, needs a complete overhaul.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service! I was charged for a paid feature but couldn’t use it. I tried to contact their customer service team several times in different ways and never heard back. I couldn’t resolve the issue and waisted my money. Disappointing
Absolute rip off
Absolute rip off. You pay for a week and you can’t even see who likes you. Multiple charges to actually get full access to the site. They have a very limited amount of profiles. Wouldn’t go back if it were free!
Bumble: discrimination + cyber-stalking's best friend
This outfit requires members to use their "real" first names. Sound good, right? Not the way this bumble outfit does it. Most quality dating apps allow members to provide a monikor that does not expose our real first name to online scammers. Bumble states that, if we "don't" comply, and this outfit finds out, we are called "Moderated" label, akin to an online plague. The estimated 85% of people using a more "normal" screen name like Ryan or William or Kathy go unscathed. Only when meeting in-person on the first meeting do we find that virtually every other member is using a false name. Virtually every single one. But if we have a name that sounds like it comes from another national origin (like Roberto or Tomas), well, suddenly, we go through the Bumble Fascists, who labels us pejoratively as "Moderated". We are the untouchables. And bumble has zero protection for members who use their real name.
I had a really bad experience with…
I had a really bad experience with Bumble BFF. My account was suddenly blocked without any explanation. I contacted their support team asking for the reason and even requested evidence of what I supposedly did wrong, but they refused to provide anything and just said the decision was final.
This is very disappointing because I only used Bumble BFF to make friends and never had any issues with anyone on the app. Without transparency, users are left in the dark and can’t even learn what to avoid in the future.
I do not recommend this app. Feels like I am chatting to a robot instead of a person . It’s supposed to bring people together, but their customer service team is doing the exact opposite
Sham of a company
For some reason I have been blocked & i have not recieved a reason why! Their response is this:
'At Bumble, we adhere to strict guidelines and only take action on accounts when we find a clear violation of our community guidelines. Rest assured, this decision was not made lightly. After careful review, we have decided to uphold the block on your account, and we will not be reopening the investigation or reversing this decision'
Like an idiot i have put money into this company to help me find a needle in the haystack of a genuine man. Back to dating the old ways i think!!
Blocked without reason—lost connections, negligent support
I’ve had Bumble for over a year but rarely use it—logging in maybe once or twice every other month. I only recently matched with a couple of people on the BFF version, exchanging nothing more than a few “Hi, how are ya?” messages. Days later, I was blocked and removed with no explanation and no option to return.
I contacted support for help and received a clearly canned response starting: “At Bumble, we adhere to strict guidelines and only take action on accounts when we find a clear violation of our community guidelines. Rest assured, this decision was not made lightly. After careful review, we have decided to uphold the block on your account, and we will not be reopening the investigation or reversing this decision.” This completely ignored why I was blocked and failed to address any of the other questions I raised, showing careless rubber-stamping of automated actions.
I can only assume I was flagged as a false positive by their system since I thoroughly reviewed their guidelines and am fully confident I didn’t violate a single one. They really need to consider reevaluating these automated actions because this mirrors countless other users’ experiences I’ve found online: honest users flagged, poorly moderated, and dismissed without real review. I work in a similar industry supporting a platform with a large user base, so I understand moderation challenges—but this was negligence, not efficiency.
After some research, it’s clear that Bumble’s own reports show their paying user base is declining, and online feedback reflects growing frustration. My experience fits both trends. This kind of disregard for real users is exactly what will lead to its own undoing. So, good riddance.
Warning to anyone considering the app: I highly suggest looking the other way and choosing a different platform. This could just as easily happen to you. God forbid you have a solid match—through the dating or BFF version—where contact info hasn’t yet been exchanged, leaving no way to explain to the other person why you suddenly stopped talking, let alone any way to continue the connection you were excited to make.
I joined the app hoping to find friends…
I joined the app hoping to find friends with same interests, and how bizarre, on the same day I got a text from a lady that claimed made a lot of good friends on this app, and I texted back, but her replies seem to be from script, the pattern of a fake profile, then some more profiles with a lot in common with me came across, they seem all fake.. they are trying to make me upgrade!
Do not subscribe
Do not subscribe! Fake, Liars, Money Grabbers!! There are No likes but they tell you you have 17 so you resubscribe, only to find they disappear over night. A nightmare to cancel…get yourself a dog and meet people naturally otherwise buy a decent book, don’t waste your time, energy or money xx
Zero Bumble
It's the only dating website I've used where I've had next to zero responses.. very unusual and makes me deeply suspicious.. plus next to no opportunity for men to message women...
Stay away.
Stay away.
After paying most fake.
And you can’t stop the account!
Bumble will steal money from you!
I signed up for the Bumble dating service on April 22, 2024 for what I thought was a 3 month subscription ending in Jly 2024. I met my current girlfriend and deleted the app a few months later.
I had a great experience with Bumble until I saw they kept charging me for the dating subscription after the 3-month period, ending in July.
They kept auto-renewing the subscription every 3 months from July 21, 2024 through July 16, 2024 for a total of $449.95. I never received an email or invoice notifying me of the auto-renewals. It was really shady.
I contacted Bumble support about this 3 times. I had no idea they auto-renewed it. They won't resolve the issue or even care about me as a customer.
Banned for ridiculous reasons… just because I stopped paying
After years of using Bumble and holding a Lifetime Premium subscription . I was banned simply for suggesting to a match that we could relax together and I could give her a massage, which Bumble labelled as “sexual harassment. No chance to explain or appeal, no refund. Hard not to think the ban is linked to the fact that I haven’t paid them anything extra in years. A service with zero transparency and zero respect for loyal customers.
Drama
Drama. This is scam company in my opinion. Should be banned everywhere! Many girls scam which want money.
Bad paid plan
I feel like every time after I pay for Premium, my profiles are not getting the exposure it should get. As a free user I still get likes from time to time, but whenever I'm a paid one, I get nothing. Feels like they're trying to make us pay, and as soon as we do, they don't care about us anymore and repeat the same thing for other free user.
I give this a 2-start since it allows sending photos, better than some other apps out there. But still, a disappointing experience with Bumble paid plans.
Total scam
Total scam. They show you supposed "likes" so that you pay for a subscription. After you have paid, they reveal likes in OTHER countries. Hundreds of miles away from the settings that you selected. NO matches under the parameters that you set. I then tried cancelling the subscription. It was impossible. I will be claiming the money back through a bank dispute. Utterly deplorable company.
I was banned on bumble after I…
I was banned on bumble after I unmatched a lady from Africa I told her I wasn’t interested and I told her nicely to leave me alone and within mins I was banned by bumble under my phone number . I didn’t do anything wrong I wasn’t rude at all . This woman can’t take a rejection and falsely reporting me for being rude which is false
Don’t waste you time
What a waste of time and money this dating website is. It says women message first but when you read some profiles the women want you to first respond which is impossible. It’s getting harder for decent men to find a good relationship these days
The best thing bumble can do is to…
The best thing bumble can do is to close down for good all of these apps or sites provide nothing but shit and stress they only operate to steal your money
The owner claims she tries and I partly…
The owner claims she tries and I partly believe she does. Still, like any app it’s a business. Which means it works for them to intentionally offer up matches who have indicated you aren’t their type. Reaching out to women recommended in my suggestion boxes each day was around a 5% success rate. Yet, those who selected me with their initiative was around a 50% success rate. Women who NEVER appeared in my suggestion box.
Toward the last week of my paid subscription I knew I’d receive some ‘monkey business’ where there would be some BOTS or tech people working behind expired profiles trying to carry on conversations with me in order to get me to resubscribe. Sure enough, Bumble didn’t disappoint as I received three messages from three women. After chatting back and forth with them for roughly two days they each ghosted me about eight hours apart from each other. Only 48 hours prior to me not renewing. One profile was even ‘deleted’ after I really got personal about social class and dating. Being white I usually only swiped right on white users. I can’t prove it but I believe this made some tech support people angry toward my last month of use. About that time I noticed the culture of some of my matches being different.
To some it all up if you are male the 3:1 men to women ratio is the least of your challenges. The fact there may be attempts at manipulation at your self esteem or emotions by BOTS or staff people posing as users trying to get you to pay after each paywall or re subscription period is an even greater issue. I really wish I told the matchmaking coach who prompted me to use it, no. What the dynamic especially does to men leaves a false sense of feeling unattractive and women a false sense of feeling too entitled. In other words just your vintage money grab that doesn’t give a damn about people’s emotional state.
