This cowboy firm took so with our conveyancing, they almost lost our buyer.

Waste of space.

Jane and her team were outstanding , we had bought a house after having a bereavement. Jane was so kind and helped us through the process -explaining everything and really looked after us . I'm a DV survivor, going through divorce, ex in prison (house joint owned/tenancy), no job, no savings, living in sheltered accommodation...

Ngaire was so sympathetic and calm throughout. That was really needed because at least two of the buyers turned out to be quite nasty! Prisons are a nightmare to deal with too.

So they really had to work for their money with me. Like come up with ideas like sending paperwork to my ex first to return to them then sent to me to fill in so he never saw my personal details. That was really smart.

They were brill from start to finish, honestly. All staff I spoke to were polite and patient.

They'd given the option of capping their fees at the start which I did at £100 over the original quote. So having sales fall through didn't pile up the bills! I was really glad they let me do that.

They were fair and responsible and I always say the best way to judge anybody is by how they treat their most vulnerable customers... Well, I think I'm in that category and I can only sing their praises!

Over the years, I have spoken to many friends and colleagues when they have been purchasing their first property or, indeed, moving house. Without exception, they have indicated that the process they embark upon is, or has been, a period of stress in their lives. Took far to long am sure was a little over 5 years for a divorce, communication was terrible every time I rang I was told the solicitor was not in the office and their assistant would call me back that call never came, sent emails that where ignored when I sent the same email again received an email that said “I will reply tomorrow” which I found very rude an unprofessional. I was also told that they would send me paper work to sign and send I had to keep reminding for them to do this. If in the future I needed a solicitor again I would never use Burd Ward.

Could not have asked for a better experience when buying a house. Jane made it the most stress free experience ever and everything was handled without needing to chase. I would highly recommend Jane at Burd Ward and will use again and again if the time comes.
