My friend got his Facebook account hacked and the hacker stole me 400 €. Facebook does nothing for it.

I have a friend with whom we were sharing a Meta Business ads account. He got hacked. The hacker took control of his account, where his payment methods and mine were related. I got stolen 400 € through PayPal, which PayPal fortunately refunded me this amount.

However, my VISA card is still connected to that account, and I keep having (failed) payments. I needed to block this credit card, otherwise I'd keep being stolen money.

Meta is not replying to my support request. I'm quite shocked by the fact they don't care about people getting their money stolen.

If you do Facebook Ads, be extremely careful. Only allow one account to make the billings, and one payment method.

Do not rely on Meta's support.

EDIT: I sent again 2 request. The support replied with automated messages:

"Thanks for contacting Meta.
It looks like you're not able to make any changes to the billing preferences or payment methods because you're not an ad account admin. Only an admin of the ad account can make changes to billing or payments settings.
If you're not an admin of a Business Manager associated with the ad account, you'll need to contact a current admin of the ad account to make the changes you're requesting."

That's so bad, because the admin has been hacked. Their support won't be helpful if you ever get your money stolen through Meta.

Wanted to schedule reels, should be a really basic and easy hard to 🖕 up feature right?
well i guess not, because everytime (about 7 tries now i've tried to schedule a reel. and they just get deleted. Meta maybe give up that 💩 VR headseat and put some money and resources where your customers actually need it.

What didn't go wrong? Adding or deleting ads is hit or miss. Marketplace "buy now" buttons that we didn't add, and unwanted automatic shipping with USPS, a service that we don't use for our oversized model shipping. Deleting an out-of-date business page on demand is impossible, there's always a delay, and ads can be rejected for who knows what reason with the arbitrary rules set by the Silicon Valley sycophants who set up this mess. Meta needs to go back to Beta until they debug and figure out how to make a business site run.

Full of Bugs and Errors

Full of Bugs and Errors. Their meta support team is just drama they do nothing to solve your problem. And most of the funny thing is that there are very basic problems bugs in the system and they are unable to resolve them. Extremely worthless. My facebook page is unable to activate Call to Action button so that I can redirect my traffic to my website but they have disabled this feature. And when I contact their so called meta support centre they say we can't do anything.

FB biz suite epic failure

all I wanted to do was set up a shop in FB to sell handmade items and have it connected to my IG account, the interface is bloated, full of bugs, needlessly difficult and doesnt work. other complaints confirm that its not me its FB BS, I spent countless hours on support chat and phone calls to no avail. in just a few hours I was able to set up a store on Michaels new Maker Place, upload my items, set up shipping, and go live. so easy... FB business suite is an epic failure. I had to put a pinned post on my business page to not even bother using the "shop" tab. how embarassing.

Facebook/Meta business suite is a confusing mess, and after so many years it's still full of glitches. To make things even worse, their service level is unbelievably mediocre.

Unprofessional — offensively poor support

Absolutely terrible. We suddenly lost access to both our business account and one of our business pages — through no fault of ours.

You'd think it would be simple for support to re-establish access for a business, but three (3!) weeks later nothing has happened. I have written with support maybe 10 times, and every time I receive a copy-paste answer in broken English, usually starting with "I hope you're having an amazing day" and then moving on to "the Internal Team is working on it".

No time frame is offered. Not a word about what might have happened. Nothing. Just the same bot-sounding answer from some first-line-of-defense-support-centre-in-a-faraway-place. For three weeks now.

My companies have spent 10s of thousands of dollars on advertising on Facebook, yet this is the level of business support you can expect when something with Facebook's own platform breaks.

An update to illustrate the absurdity of Meta's support. It has now been almost two months since we lost access to our business account. No updates are shares by Meta, but if you write them they will reply — always with meaningless platitudes in broken English. The whole thing is quite Kafkaesque. Latest message:

"We already seek them immediate assistance therefore, we further seek an additional amount of time for us to get back to you as this is to make sure that we provide you the exact resolution. We wish you and your business well. Have a great day!"

Terrible company

Terrible company. We spend over £50 a week on adverts. They have switched to computer editing your adverts so they never work properly. We have lost £1000's in business due to their computer errors which they admitted too. They refuse to compensate us for the errors.
We have now switched to a different on line company which so far is better than Facebook Meta
Stay away from Meta as it is a waste of money

Their meta business suite tool sucks. Whenever, I use it, it seems like I entered in the world of internet explorer. It takes quite a lot of time for every function to work and some times I gotta reload the page a couple of times just to make sure that the information is properly submitted and processed. They need to fix the bugs and improve its user experience.

80% Ad's on Facebook/Instagram R Scammers

I have ordered from more than 6 advertisers from Instagram and facebook now. Only 2 out of the 6 were legit companies. All of the others were scammers. Sending items that were not as ordered or not sending them at all. I report them to META and they won't even ask for proof that they are scammers and are ripping people off.

Support is non-existent

Facebook business will no longer accept my bank business banking for unknown reasons, I've been trying to resolve this for 8 weeks and I'm convinced that they don't even read my email responses. If you don't reply with 48 hours they will close your case, yet their last response took 2 weeks and they didn't even read my email! Extremely disappointed that such a huge company that many businesses depend on is so awful when it comes to support.

WORST COMPANY

They turned off my adds that was running for 3-4 years without any issues. They turned it of since they added new policy rules where they dont allow icons in adds. So they just turned off the add where i builded my comunity for 3-4 years. They told me I cant edit the post to remove those icons since its not allowed. So I was forced to start over again since they made no options to edit the add and removed it becouse they added new rule 4 years after add is created. I faced many issue with them, they never never never sorted any of my problem. Worst company and worst customer support
