Ordered a belt and buckle for a wedding. It did state would be delivered separately and belt came very quickly, within a couple of days. Buckle had not arrived several days later and wedding was on the Friday? Phoned on the Tuesday to state I could pick up as needed for wedding on Friday. Was advised buckle came from Sheffield so not possible but should be with us by Friday. Lady advised she would check out and let us know when to expect delivery . Buckle did not arrive and was not updated. Would have been useful to know timescales as if known would not arrive for wedding would have made other arrangements.

I found "buyakilt.com" by accident. I was looking for a black kilt and theirs was one of the names that came up. Having been on other kilt sites I knew generally what I was looking for site wise. "buyakilt" site is well laid out and straight forward. The only glich was when I was trying to cash out. Their tech support tried to be helpful but I forgot that my new server is set to block cookies unless I allow that site to. After that all went smoothly. I places my order Friday at 10:30am EST (3:30pm UK time) and got my order 4:30pm EST on Tuesday and Fedex was cheaper than the postal. My cost was what was shown plus the shipping and no other hidden costs (unlike other sites).

I have paid over £400 for my previous kilts which I wear on a very regular basis,
This one for around £40 looks and feels amazingly comfortable and hangs as well as my other kiltI am very pleased.

I needed a cheap leather sporran for the sole purpose of "getting the job done". So I ordered the "Celtic Classic Black Leather Sporran" expecting a decent product, but instead I got a sporran that I was very impressed with for the price. The price is unbeatable for the quality of this sporran. The quick and flawless shipping (less than 7 buisness days from Scotland to FL) was an added bonus, a very nice change of pace from some of the other retailers I've ordered from. The only downside is that the provided sporran chain seems a bit bigger than the description (28''-40 somethinng).

When the time comes for a formal sporran or other items, Buyakilt.com is going to be my first stop.

I called Buy a Kilt to see if they could get a couple of items out to me a few days before our wedding. The friendly lady on the phone was very helpful and assured me that if I placed my order online, she would ensure it was delivered on time, despite a 7 day lead time. The brooch and cuff links came two days later, just in time for our wedding and they were quality items at a reasonable price.
I will buy from Buy a Kilt again :-)

I was quite happy with the product and the service. All was great save for the surprise introduction of a customs tax due prior to receipt of the delivery. Although I recognize that it has nothing to do with Buyakilt, it may be appropriate for the order form to inform on-line purchasers of the possibility of such tax. Only a minor matter that I thought I would address. My rating should, for all intent and purposes, be a minimum of 4.9 stars. However, that option didn't exist.

The kilt is perfect except for the waist size, I can't imagine there are many 5-6 year olds out there with a waist this big (and if there are, should they be wearing a skirt so short?) and when I tried to sew it to fit I couldn't make it look right without taking the waistband off & removing pleats, needless to say I didn't bother & just hide it with a shirt. Hopefully buyakilt can get on to their suppliers & fix this for non fat children everywhere!
