They are the typical bait and switch device trade-in service. They offer $570 for a device then drop the offer $65 for microscope dots that they call scratches to downgrade the offer.
Upgraded to 2 stars for Buyback Boss upgrading the offer, but it should not take bad reviews and my time to treat their customers better.

Not Satisfied
I was satisfied with their communication and eventually receiving my payment. BUT (and it is a big BUT) I thought my evaluation of my phone was fair BUT, after receiving my phone, they devalued it claiming it had “deep scratching on the screen.” I did NOT agree with their assessment. I had looked at the screen in several different lights before sending it to them and could NOT see DEEP scratching AT ALL. Their valuation was about half what it should have been. After I argued, they raised it somewhat but still not to what I felt was truly fair. I did go ahead and accept their offer because I did not want to pay for having it sent back. I felt like this was a “bait and switch” game and would never consider using them again.

This is the second time I’ve traded with this company
I know it sounds petty, but they made a $26 deduction that I did not think was fair as soon as I posted this review a very kind person from Customer Service reached out and has now paid me the $26 difference, I thought that was very kind as well as excellent customer service. I’m going to change my review from three stars to four.
They do have very receptive Customer Service!
My original review:
This is the second time I’ve traded in a device with this company. While the process itself is fairly reliable, on both occasions they deducted money for supposed “imperfections” that honestly did not really exist.
The deductions were never large enough to make paying for return shipping worth it, which makes the situation even more frustrating. I don’t know if this is a common practice of the company, but in my experience, you should not expect to actually receive the full amount they initially quote you.
Another thing that felt questionable was the use of a rather shady third-party payment service to issue the customer’s money.
Because of these issues, I can only give 3 stars.
