Unclear Policies, Unfair Treatment

This company’s customer service is highly unprofessional and lacks transparency. I recommend using alternative platforms such as Patreon instead.

Although Buy Me a Coffee claims to support independent creators, it operates with clear bias and arbitrary restrictions. The platform requires creators to prove social media activity as a condition for validation - a practice that discriminates against those who choose to share their work privately or independently. Failure to do so results in your account being deactivated without proper evidence or transparent review.

In short, this is not a creator-first platform. Proceed with caution.

I had face a double subscription issue and all the customer care team was fantastic to solve, timely and accordingly. It's so nice when the process is straightforward and not much a time-consuming experience from the customer point of view.

Great customer service

The Service has it's price, and they do what they can to keep this beneficial for the creator who receives the money. I find this respectful. Also i had contact with their customer service and team and they were very persistent and friendly in order to get my request solved.

Great customer service!

I just want to say a big huge thank you to customer support a Woman named Julie helped me get my money put into my bank and it was quickly done and she also replied fast as well to my emails.

A Good Surprise!

I will be honest. I wasn't able to sign up for Ko-fi,and so,BuyMeaCoffee was my only solution!
I find it very easy to use. And even when i faced some trouble,I was updated about how to appeal and fix things. And now everything is smooth.
Good app,waiting for my first payout!<3

Been using the service a lot

Been using the service a lot for accepting payments for commissions and donations from my fans, barely any issues! I'm very satisfied. There were a couple of hiccups but the problem turned out to be on my side. The problem wouldn't be there if the service communicated all the nuances in their FAQ in more detail. And one time a customer couldn't go through with payment, their bank kept flagging the transaction as fraudulent. They had to call the bank and resolve it. So that can happen, but other than that, everything things has been going smoothly!

Problems Accessing Funds, Ghosted By Support

Everything was fine with the platform until it came time to withdrawing funds. Then BMAC all of a sudden needed to do additional identity checks. I provided them with the info they requested, and they said it wasn't adequate (no reason provided why).

I contacted support (Julie) after reading TrustPilot. She said I need to email her from the email linked to the account and she will sort it out. I did so. And never heard anything for a week. I emailed again. Still nothing. Completely ghosted by Julie and their support. My account just sits there in limbo now, unable to access the funds.

It seems the 1-star reviews for BuyMeACoffee are accurate and that has been my experience too. I advise you read them. Avoid this company, there are alternatives.

A great Customer Support experience

A great Customer Support experience! I emailed about an issue, they responded within 1 day, and fixed it in 2, over the weekend nonetheless! Would be happy to continue to do business with BMaC in the future and spread the word to other users.

Stay away from this company

Stay away from this company. I had a bad experience. I had no coffee to buy at this company. Use something else, but not these kinds of links added to your business. Totally a waste of time.

DON'T USE, THEY DON'T PAY

This organisation is extremely abusive and discriminatory. I

-I am an artist and performer, I do not do adult work. but my account was suspended.
-They still took fees but won't pay me my earnings
-They have withheld my earnings
-Under UK trading and employment law they are indeed breaking the law bu withholding earnings
-There customer service is trash, it takes days-weeks to get a response
-Their reviewing process lacks transparency
-I've noticed a trend of suspending accounts mostly of women and black and trans women, BMAC is discriminatory.
-No response on their social media platforms

Disgraceful, do not use. Absolutely disgusting. I don't even care about getting the account re-activated, I just want my money as I'll never use this platform again and I will tell others to not use it.

You should NOT use Buy me a coffee to get tipped if you are a stage artist.

6 years of nothing but great service!

I used Buy Me A Coffee for going on 6 years I believe. Fantastic site. It's really a wonderful service and the people running it and the people they hire for support are incredibly helpful and good natured.
I'm leaving the service now but I will likely return if the need arises. Can't recommend it enough. Patreon's got nothing on BMaC!
