This company is not Irish! There are extra delivery charges and custom fees. Delivery time is long and An Post will not release your items until you pay the customs charges. I paid over €20 for an €8 item, a mistake I will not make again! Should be done for false advertising!!!

They present as Irish but be WARNED, they are NOT!

.ie domain, phone number and address.

I ordered and the got a customs bill from An Post.

Raised issue with buyspares.ie and was told:
“ We are sorry to hear this.

This has been outlined in the terms and conditions on our website in the payment section.

As per previous reviews this company shipping parts from the UK..checked the small print and no indication items were subject to customs duties and a significant delay. Would have looked elsewhere if I had known. Very unhappy and no reply to my message to them. Avoid.

Another .IE site thats in Uk. so you will pay dearly for anything you buy. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SITE. any site using an .IE domain when it's not in Ireland is scamming customers. when I complained to buyspares.ie I got the customary flippant reply that its mentioned in the small print that it's based in UK. so why not call it buyspares.uk? another scam

I recently ordered a part for my food processor- which was a perfect fit. Therefore I have given 3 stars. However, even though the website was marked .ie it is actually a UK site so I had to pay a customs charge 5.59€ in addition to 6€ postage- so a part costing 9.14€ proved very expensive. I could not find an alternative spare parts site based in EU so had no choice but to order from buyspares.

Absolutely terrible all round, 21 days plus for parts, do not use, ie site and based in UK so added customs charges and vat, complete scam, absolute shambles of a company to deal with, avoid avoid avoid

Similar to the other comments. This company operates using a'.ie' address, buy-spares.ie. This completely leads the consumer to believe that the company is Irish and that the customer would be billed as such. I then received a purchase confirmation of the price which stated that it included VAT @ 23%. Like the other reviews, I have been hit with another VAT charge at customs and a further extra delivery charge from An Post. The company have not yet replied to my inquiry which I sent more than 48 hours ago. I can't recommend this company due to the lack of transparency involved.

I ordered from what I thought was an Irish website as I needed the part quickly. When the order is processed it shows that it is indeed a UK company and the part was dispatched from the UK the next day. It took 18 days to arrive including customs delay. The cost of the part was €46 and the duties and customs charged were €12.53- just over a 1/4 of the part price. The UK charged VAT and I had to pay that again here in Ireland plus a small handling fee from AnPost. I've asked the UK company for a VAT refund 3days ago and an auto reply said they would contact me with 24hrs-- no surprise nothing back from them since then.
I'm giving them 3 stars for value for money as the same part from a local supplier in Ireland was quoted at €85 with a 7-10day leadtime.

Do not buy from buy-spares.ie if you are in Ireland. This is a UK company and you will be charged by an post after your transaction has been processed and the product is with an post . . . . No indication at any point in the transaction that the “.ie” is for clickbate

This is not an Irish retailer despite having a .ie, Had to pay an extra customs charge to get my goods as they came from the UK

Sent me damaged product and haven’t got response to any attempts to contact them or return item. Stay away!

I bought two parts for my dishwasher, one part being out of stock, but they still took my payment. The problem is however, they have now TAKEN TWO FURTHER AMOUNTS OUT OF MY BANK ACCOUNT !!!!!! The amounts are nothing to do with my order, I have emailed them and they say that someone will contact me. There is no telephone number for this company. I now have to put a freeze on my bank card to stop them taking further money from my account. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY !

I was about to order from these people,but having read all the negative reviews,I think I will look elsewhere.

HORRIBLE, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM! First of all the product descriptions are INCORRECT, second, when you try to return them their Support team is USELESS. I bought a fridge shelf which description said it fits all whirlpool fridges, FIRST LIE. Second one, the website is unacceptable, I had to contact their support team over 10 times because the website did not allow me to generate a return label for Ireland. THIRD, the team referred me to their live chat service for immediate assistance, when I check the website, surprise! They do not have chat active at the moment. Then.. WHY are you referring me to it!!! FOURTH their website says that I would get a return confirmation email when they received my part, I contacted them again via email because I have not received such an email and then Luke from the sales team says that they do not send those emails... Seriously, I could not RECOMMEND IT LESS.

Ordered a number of items from them weeks ago, tracking was provided and saw quite quickly that the package was returned to them due to customs declaration issues. That was 4 weeks ago, still no refund received and no response to my emails requesting a refund. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Truly appalling company. I ordered an item from them almost 8 weeks ago. Shortly after ordering I was informed the order was cancelled due to them not being able to ship to Ireland (despite operating under a .ie domain). I have since received no communication regarding a refund.

Ordered parts and paid for express postage. Parts never arrived. Vendor eventually refunded the price of the parts but not the postage, horrible service with very poor communication.

SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!
A nightmare!!!! Stay away. I order some parts, received a confirmation for delivery. Never arrived and when chatting online I did not receive any clear information. I was charged for something I did not receive. Still waiting to be reimburse. Don't know if this is a scam. Really bad experience.
