This venue, currently operating as Buzz Bingo, has previously traded under the names Beacon Bingo and Merkur. Despite the change in branding over the years, The same management culture has remained in place. My experience at this club raises serious concerns regarding the conduct, professionalism, and decision making practices of the management team.
I was accused by the general manager of engaging in racist behaviour and was subsequently banned from the premises. This is an extremely serious allegation. However, at no point was I provided with any evidence to support this claim, nor was I informed of any formal investigation being undertaken prior to the decision to exclude me from the club. The accusation appears to have been based solely on hearsay or unverified reports rather than any substantiated facts.
Given the seriousness of such an allegation, it would be reasonable to expect that any responsible management would conduct a proper and impartial investigation before taking such drastic action. No such process was communicated to me, and I was not given a fair or reasonable opportunity to respond to the allegation before the ban was imposed. In my view, this raises significant questions about the fairness, transparency, and professionalism of the management practices at this venue.
False or unsubstantiated accusations of racism are not trivial matters. They have the potential to cause reputational damage and significant personal distress. For such allegations to be made and acted upon without clear evidence or due process demonstrates, at best, a lack of appropriate managerial judgement and, at worst, a disregard for basic standards of fairness.
Separate from this issue, the overall condition and operation of the venue itself appears to have deteriorated considerably. The premises present as tired, poorly maintained, and generally run down. It gives the clear impression of a business that has not invested adequately in its upkeep or customer environment for some time.
The standard of food offered at the venue was also noticeably below what most patrons would reasonably expect from a leisure establishment of this nature. In addition, several members of staff appeared disengaged, unhelpful, and at times discourteous in their interactions with customers. Customer service standards overall seemed low, with little evidence of proactive or professional management oversight.
Taken together, these issues suggest a venue that is poorly managed and struggling to maintain even basic service and hospitality standards. My experience with the management, particularly in relation to the extremely serious allegation made against me without supporting evidence or a transparent process, was deeply concerning and highly disappointing.
Until such time as management practices, staff conduct, and general operational standards improve significantly, I would caution prospective visitors to consider carefully whether this is an establishment they wish to patronise. Based on my experience, the conduct of management and the overall environment of the club fell well below what any customer should reasonably expect.

Last week my friends account got blocked & could not play her late session she had paid for. Phone c/s they said club should have helped
This week my early was not put on & then my national wasn’t put on
Also another lady didn’t get hers on ! When she told the manager , she just said we are human & make mistakes She is not a nice person &she knew we was not happy , she should have come over to see us . Glen did refund National but that’s not the point. Me & my friend who is 80 have gone since it opened & we do not go to sit through games not playing

Do not use buzz bingo they allowed me to deposit and was unable to play anything on there site until I verify my account problem is they make it difficult to do so refusing all ID I have sent and now refuse to give my money back stay clear

Wish I could give zero stars. We came here today with my partners elderly mother , not knowing anything besides the opening times of the bingo hall. The lady was having a vape break and almost didn’t move to let us in. We asked if we could play bingo but she simply snapped and said no. When we asked why she said it’s not on and went to go back to vape. Incredibly rude and snappy. My elderly mother in law then asked politely if she could use the toilet as she struggles to hold her bladder and she refused unless she signed up to a membership . After how rude she was we simply left and won’t be returning. What was supposed to be a lovely , rare outing as a family turned into tears and almost a Toliet accident . I think the woman’s name was Jo, I really hope her vape break was worth an elderly woman in tears

Absolutely awful visit to buzz bingo in Swindon, 70% of the food menu was out of stock, pizzas were burnt with NO cheese on as they had ran out, we were only told after we paid and waited that the food wasn’t available, only to be told that we would be refunded to our cards and to pay and order again!! The staff were rude and not helpful in the slightest, the bingo caller was shouting at people for talking quietly, I’ve never experienced anything so awful at a bingo hall i definitely won’t be returning or recommending this awful place to anyone

Parked on what is attached to free Wigan car park . Was fined £60 little to no signage to indicate was not council car park as you have to enter and leave by council car park entrance. Absolutely shocking . Turned out owned by Buzz - don’t deserve to be in business with this trickery . Shame on you . Update I have contacted your customer service and was told you have no control over car park . You decided to appoint them so I feel you have a moral duty to ensure adequate signage and warning on your car park which you are not doing . Have one way in and out via a free council car park is ambiguous and is designed to catch people out with heavy fines ****update I contacted your team as prompted and they told me they could do nothing as the parking was outsourced however when I paid the £60 fine the payment receipt was sent by BUZZ BINGO ! £60 for parking early on a Saturday morning the only car on the car park , no impact whatsoever on your business . Complete scam designed to catch people out who think they are parking on a free council car park .

This has to be the worst establishment I've ever been in. It was dirty - I mean 'crud' dirty! The bingo board on my table was so dirty & sticky I couldn't close the shutters over the numbers. There was about 20 something players in the room but 1 person won 85% of the entire evening, a bunch of people on the other side of the room messed around & continued to chat throughout so there was no staff to ask them to be quiet because the caller clearly wasn't bothered, & we ordered food & drink but had to ask where the drinks were half an hour after ordering. The flyer said £3 for the night but it was over £10 & I will never go again. I needed to have a shower after being in there! Absolutely minus out of 10!
