CAA refused to tow me to the garage…

CAA refused to tow me to the garage after I broke down on the side of the road because it was away from my place of residence. My truck is a colorado diesel, and they they refused to tow the truck to a diesel mechanic and only said they would only tow it to the closest garage that doesn't even work on diesel trucks. What a joke. I have the most premium plan they offered which states on the website saying you can tow 320kms and choose the place you can tow it to. But they plain out refused to tow the truck. Don't buy CAA as it's a waste of money and you will be paying the tow bill anyways

You have to work really hard to get them to take your money

It seems as if this company doesn't understand customer service. I've never had to work so hard to get a company to take my money. Long call wait times. Hung up on more than once. If the line disconnects for some reason CALL ME BACK. No, instead I need to wait on hold AGAIN for at least 20 minutes. You had be verified, you know who I was and why I was calling.

Stay away from CAA insurance

Stay away from CAA insurance. Let me be clear. They don't care about you or your vehicle. They lie, cheat and steal from you. I spent over $100,000 on my vehicle and when it came to making a claim, they don't care if your car is fixed properly, painted the proper colour, or even runs. I took my truck in for an insurance repair at the ram dealership at 5280 Dixie Rd. Mississauga and they butchered my truck. It went in for a minor collision and they had it for 6 months. CAA didn't care if they were joy riding in my vehicle or if it was shipped to Mars. It had more damages coming out of that dealership then it did going in. My adjusters name was Bika. She must be a psychopath. Not only was my bumper (which I waited almost 6 months for) painted the wrong colour, none of the repair work was done. When I contacted Bika at CAA Insurance to tell her not to pay for the repairs as they were not done and what was done was done correctly, she didn't care at all. I asked to speak with a manager or supervisor but that still has not happened. I reiterated the fact that nothing was repaired correctly and most things didn't even get repaired, that I was constantly lied to and that my bumper was painted the wrong colour but she couldn't have cared less. She refused to do anything about it. I sent her pictures of the shotty workmanship and the garbage job they did, the new dents, cracks and scratches on the truck and different coloured bumper but she just blamed me instead. Now, I have to find a lawyer to sue the dealership and their bodyshop along with the CAA insurance company all because they don't give a crap about their customers, their cars or anything. Long story short, don't get CAA Insurance no matter how much cheaper it may seem and stay as far as possible from 5280 Dixie Rd. Ontario Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM dealership. Don't fall into the same trap that I did. It will only cost you a fortune like it did for me and you'll be left worse off than when you started.

not a trust worthy company

Called CAA for Jump boost. the driver came in time but could not open the car door. Then asked us to call the company back to request a car tow and lie that the Tow is free, then left. When we called back, we get different information and the customer service clerk is very rude, very unprofessional. We spend more than $ 157 for a frustrated night.

Broker couldn't wait to be rid of me

Contacted them for insurance and after the broker heard my license history he told me CAA insurance would be way too expensive for me and transferred me to their "partner agency" (a sketchy operation called MyCarInsurance).

I know that I haven't had my license for very long and that I'd be paying a fair bit, and I was willing to pay it for coverage from a (seemingly) reputable company, but the broker couldn't wait to be rid of me and transferred me out before even giving me a quote. I wish I'd got his name but he didn't even give me that.

Booked a hotel room through CAA

Booked a hotel room through CAA. It was advertised as trusted and 4 *. The actual room was dirty with a yellow caution tape, wobbly toilet etc. CAA refused to help in resolution. Needless to say, we were not able to stay in the room, and returned the keys with in 30 min of check in. I cannot trust the CAA and their ratings of the hotel rooms any more, and now knowing that they do not support you after the booking, more reason not to ever use them and their recommendations. Totally disappointed in CAA.

CAA has now figured out another Scam…

CAA has now figured out another Scam way to Market their useless services. Now they mail propaganda to your address without authorization. The only way to Stop it is apparently to call them and get off their mailing list? Another useless company is Canada Post that allows companies to send anyone unsolicited junk mail.

Unacceptable Canadian Automobile Association customer service

Canadian Automobile Association is a very NEGATIVE & WORST home insurance people I called once. The male broker was rude, impatient & short-temper. Then he said a quote would be emailed to me shortly, nothing received. I called CAA again the next day, after an annoying verifying interrogation process, a female said she would email me the quote to me again. I checked & still NOTHING!! I do not have the luxury of having home internet & has to walk 1 hour to use a very time restrictive public pc to access this quote. I called & requested a call back. A female called me back 2 hours after, hang up on me after I explained briefly to her that 2 times I failed getting this email quotation from CAA.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUBSTANDARD CUSTOMER SERVICE, VERY NEGATIVE PHONE EXPERIENCE AND YOUR TOTAL FAILURE TO PERFORM SUCH A STRAIGHTFORWARD AND SIMPLE TASK AS TO EMAILING OUT AN INSURANCE QUOTE

CAA Adjuster Adel Mirage is great!

I’d like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Adel Mirage, my claims adjuster at CAA Home Insurance, for his exceptional support during my recent water damage claim.

Adel was patient, professional, and incredibly responsive throughout the entire process. He took the time to clearly explain my options, answer my questions, and guide me every step of the way. His calm and understanding approach made a potentially stressful situation feel manageable.

Most importantly, my claim was handled and approved in a timely manner, thanks to Adel’s efficiency and dedication. I truly felt supported and valued as a client.

I’m very grateful for his help — he’s a credit to the CAA team, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing assistance during a home insurance claim.

I waited five hours for a tire change

I waited five hours for a tire change. I live in Montreal so waa told to complain to my branch in Quebec. Only to be told that Quebec has nothing to do with Ontario because each chaptet is independent of the other. Isn't tge name CANADIAN Automobile? I was so frustrated I cancelled my membership and got the Canadian Tire plan for way less money.

Waiting over 2 hours for a tire change…

Waiting over 2 hours for a tire change and still not even having a driver en route after originally being told a driver will be there in 40 minutes. Called CAA line twice; my call got dropped and I had to go back into the phone queue and wait again. Still no guarantee of an arrival time. Had to call a local company and pay out of pocket. Was told by CAA operator after calling back to cancel to file a receipt, not counting on the likely hood of being reimbursed given the poor service. And I have a plus membership clearly means nothing.

I have been a customer of CAA since…

I have been a customer of CAA since 1984. I currently have 2 cars insured and travel insurance for the year with CAA North East location. I need RV insurance. I called. I pressed this button and I pressed that button. I finally get a "we have a higher than normal call volume" please press 1 if you would like a call back. I agreed twice to do this. Someone calls. After getting a quote to add to my cars the agent tells me he needs more pictures. I said I would take them and if he could call me back when he got them that would be great. He tells me that he can't do that. He said that I have to call and wait another 10 mij7tes of terrible music and pressing buttons and THEN they'll call back. What? Did you just tell me, after 2 calls already, several insurances, to call you AGAIN? So that you can call me back? Do you see how backwards that is? Let me say that again. I call you back, wait and press buttons to be told you have a higher than normal call volume and do I want a call back? Press 1. I will be shopping around for another insurer. I will gladly pay more to someone more if I need to. When I insured my cars 1 month ago your agent told me that my son had an at fault accident. When I said he was incorrect he essentially called me a lier. I HAVE NEVER and neither has my son been in an at fault accident. I spent hours on the phone to find out it was a clerical error at UNIFUNDS end. But don't you do me any favour by doing some footwork. Clean records. I'm only a customer for 41 years. I haven't even received an apology from the agent who thinks I was covering something up. In this day and age?

I’ve been a member of CAA roadside for…

I’ve been a member of CAA roadside for many many years as well as my parents for many many years. I had a warranty issue with my transmission and CAA pretty much told me that I had to be in danger for them to tow it. So now I’m going to try to drive the truck and put myself in great danger so that they will tow it.
