After having a really bad experience a few weeks ago with a rude member of staff who was shouting about how one of the disabled gents was with was attempting to enter the broken disabled toilets without waiting for an explanation.
As soon as he knew it was broken he sat back down no harm done.
She raised her voice and all the customers were looking.
So after leaving it 3 weeks we returned today with the same gents. Straight away the same rude staff began in a raised voice saying she refused to serve me and said I had to take my review down.she actually said I was lying but as I had a colleague with me who witnessed the whole thing I clearly only wrote the truth.
I will NEVER enter this cafe again and she deserves sacking.
A disgrace to the company.
We had been co.ing in there for years too.
This is the st annes on sea shop.
I was served by a nice polite staff and sat down.
Great service and excellent help
Great at Fforestfach Swansea…
I have been a regular customer of Cafe Nero at Fforestfach Retail Park. I have on occasion did my work there while enjoying my drink. I liked the fact I could sit, use wireless and have access to a power socket. The staff were extremely friendly, joyful and professional. 2 staff in particular stand out, Ffion and Oskar. Always polite, cheerful and courteous going the extra mile. Highly recommend this branch. So far the best branch I have been to so far out of the Cafe Nero chain. The coffees and other drinks are excellent and very good for Non Dairy as well. Chai, Latte, Fruit booster and Frappes have been really good, and portions are generous.

I absolutely adore Caffe Nero and always made an effort to go to the only one unfortunately on the Wirral, located in Birkenhead, but not anymore.
The coffee used to be consistently good there and the customer care was excellent but now both are diabolical.
The new staff haven't a clue how to make a decent coffee and will be losing a lot of their regulars and any one who has an appreciation for great coffee because the whole experience is so below standard. Really sad because they were THE best coffee makers in Birkenhead by miles but they are not even in the top 5 these days.
Definitely a Cafe Chain to AVOID
Had the misfortune of deciding to get a drink at a Warwick/Leamington Branch on a Sunday, at approximately 11am.
Service was exceptionally slow and every member of staff looked as miserable as sin and was frankly rude. No positive customer interactions despite people spending ages queuing. Staff acting like the world owes them a favour whilst over charging for awful tasting coffee. Defining a chain to avoid.
Flavour
Weak, over milked flat white. In a blind taste you would not recognise it as coffee. Staff have a kitchen and toilet but staff of 3 have to use customer single toilet. The shopping centre has two Costa outlets and one M & S in junction 27 Birstall.
Unfair Treatment at Your Café
Happened at 25-27 High St, East Grinstead RH19 3AF
I am writing to share a disappointing experience I had at your café.
I have visited many times before and was always pleased with the atmosphere and service. However, today was different and quite upsetting. A male staff member approached and asked my two children to keep quiet. While they were speaking a bit loudly, they were not disturbing anyone around us. What struck me as unfair was that shortly after, another family—who happened to be white—arrived with children who were just as loud, yet the staff said nothing to them. I want to be clear that I don’t see children talking or playing loudly—or even a dog barking—as a problem in itself. I’ve visited many times, and most people seem tolerant and unbothered by these natural sounds.
In the meantime, I politely asked another female staff member if my children were being too loud. She responded kindly and reassured me that it was absolutely fine—she didn’t find it to be a problem at all. Frankly, if my children had truly been too loud, I would have changed my order to takeaway out of consideration for others.
On top of that, the male staff was speaking loudly in Mandarin with other customers - conversations I could clearly hear from across the room.
This is the first time I’ve ever been asked to keep quiet in a café—even in Caffè Nero, which I’ve visited many times without any issue. I’m not sure if your café has a formal "quiet policy." If it does, I would suggest training staff to apply it consistently and fairly to all customers. If it doesn’t, I believe the staff’s actions today were inappropriate and showed a clear lack of proper training.
As an Asian customer, I left feeling discriminated against. It is upsetting to see that others can speak loudly or bring in barking dogs without comment, yet my family was singled out.
Good customer service is essential to retaining loyal customers, while poor treatment will drive them away. I will not support a business that makes me feel unwelcome or unfairly targeted.
I hope you take this feedback seriously and take steps to improve staff training and ensure fair treatment for all guests.
Total rip off prices for days old food
The airport in Dalaman seems to think it's a boutique in Mayfair. €9.50 - €12.50 for a dry inedible roll. The carrot cake was days old ... also €9.50. The staff looked embarassed at the prices. I expected better from a company like Nero- there's no need to take advantage of customers like that. It certainly doesn't make me want to use their high street cafés. The food went in the bin. A very expensive waste of money.
Disappointing lack of cleanliness
While Caffè Nero tends to be my first choice among the bigger high street companies, the town centre branch (opposite the railway station) in Harrogate is one to avoid if you don’t wish to act as an unpaid employee and clear tables before you can sit down. In the 30 minutes or so I spent there recently no staff stepped the few meters outside to clear/clean any tables.

Never have dairy free spread for the vegan teacake,( why not ) and cutlery is always dirty in every Nero I've been in.
No free stamps on your loyalty card or Nero app at Chelmsford
If you want to collect free stamps on your loyalty cards or Nero app, the Chelmsford branch don't do them anymore, which is a shame, because I used to like going there and getting my free stamps. Costa opposite does, as does the Starbucks in the High Chelmer shopping precinct, and some of the other coffee chains around the city.
Lovely customer service
Had a wonderful day at the Oxford street store branch recently. Was visiting family the other week & stopped by and was served by the lovely Ahmed I think I remember his name was. So nice, such a warm and lovely presence in store! Deffo recommend anyone to visit!!
A free coffee code
My energy supplier Octopus gives away coffee codes every week for Greggs and Café Nero. I usually have a Greggs code because I don't live near a Café Nero. This month I was going to Lincoln with my wife to have her hair done and as fortune would have it there was a Café Nero nearby for me to sit in, so I got a Café Nero code. At first I thought that the company was generous because the code entitled me to any coffee- so I asked for a large Cappuccino. Now it all comes down to the definition of large. The staff were very nice and the coffee was palatable but the quantity was very disappointing. It was just a normal cup's worth - I'd hate to see the small cup. I bought a second cup while I had to sit in there so my free and paid for cups gave me a sort of half price offer but I would not buy again at full price - the quantity was, not to mince words, mean!
Awful experience
Visited the Cafe Nero in Durham whilst visiting family, awful experience. The staff were very rude, no please or thankyou and when I took some cash from my purse The man serving me just barked "card only!" There were four of us and the place was full but there were some stairs with no barrier or sign so I presumed there was an upstairs, like the one in Leeds,we had four drinks and food to sit in but when we made our way to the stairs, again the man shouted "staff only!!", If I hadn't been with family I think I would have shouted back at him, we spent the entire visit stood in a corner juggling our drinks. AVOID this place, worst cafe I have ever visited.

Awful experience in Bexleyheath
The staff was extremely noisy banging plates and trewing cutleries to wash. Awful atmosphere. I waited more than 15 minutes for a coffee, croissant, and cake, but I decided just to buy croissants and coffe because of the noise and dirty tables. The croissant was cold! They asked me what I want but in the same time they made coffee and other things for the client before me. Absolutely nonsense to ask me of they are occupied. When they made my coffee and food they started to talk to the next client and I was waiting all this process. No need to spend time with all this haotic customer service. Jist start and finish! Everything happened in very nervous and noisy environment. Awful place! After that, it was appalling trying to find a clean space to sit. On the table where I sat I saw empty medicine's boxes and rubbish. The toilet was the most horribly and awfully dirty place I have ever seen in my life. The paper had spots on it. Extremely disappointed. I wouldn't spend even a penny there. I am disappointed to have spend money there!
I have picture!

Claimed voucher for 2 complimentary coffee valid until mid of July, it sudden disappeared from the App without notice and record. Sent message to support team for more than 48 hours but no reply and update.
Nice coffee..
Nice coffee... but..
Staff talking amongst themselves while serving.
Then after I'd just sat down, a guy cleaning seemed to delight hanging round me with a broom and pile of rubbish. Then he asked me to move so he could sweep!!! This hadn't been done to other people seated. When I explained that I came in to relax, he said, quote, 'that's alright' in a loud voice as if I was unreasonable.
You don't expect to get shoe horned out of your seat. I bet this wouldn't have happened if I wasn't on my own.

Stratford Westfield
Stratford Westfield. Waited nearly 10 mins for the poor guy to figure out my oat milk chai. He served the lady behind me first cos he got my order wrong. Nearly £5 for that cup of chai and it tasted worse than mediocre when I got it. Asked for a toilet afterwards and the lady serving turned her back on me and told me I have to use the toilets in the shopping centre. What a care-less establishment.

The coffee was very nice but the cafe was dirty and needed updating ( Berwick upon Tweed).
