Always a Warm Welcome
I visit the Caffe Nero in Clifton Triangle Bristol regularly and the team are always so welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere is consistently relaxed, the service is quick even when it’s busy, and the staff genuinely seem to care about customers.
Extremely disappointing experience with… Cafe Nero Malvern Retail park
Extremely disappointing experience with Café Nero (Malvern Retail Business Park).
I placed a £130 Deliveroo order for 21 sandwiches for a team lunch. The store accepted the order and marked it as “being prepared,” took payment, and then called to say they couldn’t fulfil it and told me to cancel it myself—which wasn’t even possible.
I spoke to Ryan (store manager), who was completely unhelpful. No ownership, no attempt to fix the issue, no alternatives offered. Just “we have no stock” and “we’ll get in trouble with head office.” That’s not the customer’s problem.
If you can’t fulfil an order, don’t accept it. Don’t take payment and then leave the customer to deal with a broken system between Deliveroo and your store.
Left without food for my team and wasted a lot of time trying to resolve this. Very poor customer service and zero accountability.
Won’t be using Café Nero again.
Bluewater Cafe Nero Team
I’d like to give a well-deserved 7-star review to the team at Caffè Nero Bluewater.
A special mention to Tru, Libby, Louis, Grace, Noemi, and Zak — every single one of them consistently delivers outstanding service. They always greet customers with a warm smile, and their politeness and friendliness never go unnoticed.
It’s rare to find such a genuinely welcoming and positive team. Their attitude truly makes a difference and keeps me coming back.
Thank you all for providing such exceptional service — a solid 7 stars every time.
Staff and coffee
Now regular visitor to st. Ives Cambridge branch,

Awful customer service by people who obviously hate their job. I go to Nero often in many other towns and have had no issue with service at all. I visited Rickmansworth twice and on both occasions their staff were so unwelcoming …..I will not go back again.
They grunted at everyone in the queue with no smile or any politeness at all. They obviously have no customer service training and just make you want to leave ….terrible. Better to go to Costa, Starbucks or the independent outlets in Ricky for a nice atmosphere.

I had the pleasure of visiting Caffè Nero in Staines again and was served by the lovely Adriana. She always greets customers with a warm smile and such a welcoming manner, providing truly great customer service. Adriana consistently goes above and beyond, making every visit a great experience. Thank you, Adriana — it’s always a pleasure to see you in Staines☺️
Gluten free brownie
Gluten free brownie, ate a quarter of it and it tastes like play dough, can't get the taste away and has caused a flare up. Looking at the ingredients they contain emulsifers so not surprising. Won't be buying anything there again.
Abuse of privilege
I quite like the Wells Somerset branch. The staff members have been there for some time and are helpful and provide a valuable service for all members of the community. However, there needs to be an enforced protocol on not allowing dogs on seats. It's unhygienic and the owners merely demonstrate their levels. of selfishness. Coffee #1, across the road, has a clear sign stating that dogs are not allowed on the furniture.
Disgusting Coffee
I visited Caffe Nero on Paddington Station on the 19th March asking for a Skinny Flat White which I paid £4.15.
It was the most disgusting coffee I had tasted, unfortunately I did not have time to return to the kiosk before drinking. I emailed your complaints Department the following day, and having several emails from someone called Andrew apologising, he assured me he would be sending me complimentary vouchers in the post, allowing 5 days. We are now the 6th April, I still have not received them, not very customer service and not at all impressed with your Company.
I am happy to report I received two complimentary vouchers yesterday in the post!!
Cafe Nero Leicester City opposite HMV
Cafe Nero Leicester City opposite HMV. Both staff kind and courteous, this has always been the case here.
I suffered a bereavement and the staff today listened to my pain.
2 amazing staff!
Extremely poor and concerning experience at the Bluewater branch.
Very disappointing experiences at the Bluewater branch, raising serious concerns about both hygiene standards and customer treatment.
On a separate visit, I found a hair in my porridge; something that should never happen if basic food hygiene standards are being followed. What was particularly concerning was the complete lack of response from staff - no genuine apology, no urgency, and no sense that this was being taken seriously.
More recently, I experienced dismissive and confrontational service from a barista. I was ignored when I greeted her, made to repeat a very simple order multiple times, and then challenged during payment in a way that felt unnecessarily antagonistic.
Taken together, these are not isolated issues. They point to a wider problem with staff training, oversight, and overall standards. As a non-Caucasian customer, the way I was treated raises serious concerns about whether I was subjected to differential treatment on the basis of race, as this did not feel like the level of service other customers receive.
Given the nature of the hygiene issue alone, this is not something that should be taken lightly, and it raises questions about whether appropriate standards are being consistently maintained.
Well first of all can I say ?
Well first of all can I say that I visit the Hastings store quite often, the staff are great but the place just looks so run down it just looks miserable and old. I have been to your Ashford outlet store and wow compared to your Hastings store. Also it is like a crèche in the store, every time I go in there the same women are in there with 2 Babies which I have found out belong to the manager and sit there for hours taking up space and often eating food from other companies and stopping other customers from having seats. Surely this shouldn’t be allowed, he obviously lets them stay there for hours on end as they are his family
Dire Service
Went to leckwith, Cardiff this afternoon. Queue longer than your arm & only one person serving. Took nearly 30 minutes to get 2 cup of coffee. Tables cluttered with dirty dishes.
Absolutely rude Excessively abusive lack luster service hostile and the store should be closed after such experience
o young girls always there Saturday evening were amazingly rude hostile absusive not interested and bulgar. Had complaint to the head office and in return sent me two vouchers. One of them abused or used amazingly swear word that initially ren towards her and stopped. Yes for a change I swore as well as I could not tolerate this time with lies and swearing. I am surprised that the head office have not removed them. I can go on but Rise above them and guys even some customers said that we go there for a break for a cup of coffee and we get this in exchange yes truthfully even I lost it and used abusive words but what they came up with is how they are raised is shocking. I wonder if they are low paid cheap labour or illegal immigrants While they were arguing a customer had to wait First time when my wife asked which of the cakes were Vegan STAFF SAYS I HAVENT GOT A CLUE YOU CHECK
THSY told us to get out and Rehetoricalky said WHY DO YOU COME HERE The main one came back from her so called break with a sleepy face. The other one used such an abusive word that I am struggling to get over it
Cafenero do something and this cannot be allowed to go on because even calm people like me will one day lose it when such reception attitude and language is used
Service: 1/5 | Atmosphere: 1/5

My husband & I went to Eastbourne for a day. After lunch we decided to have a coffee, so we went to Cafe Nero as it’s just opposite M&S. It was quite busy. The staffs were very efficient , friendly , & helpful. One of the staff called Isabella whom we had a chance to have a short chat. Even it was very busy, yet she kept calm & getting the queue down pretty quickly & looks confident with her job. Nice to see a happy smiling face to greet us when taking our order. Definitely recommend this cafe, the coffee was full of aroma & the staffs are very nice
Such a good experience
We have been so well looked after by Justina Virdee at Head Office.
Whenever we have any concerns, she resolves them.
She goes above & beyond.
A big thank you
Market Harborough branch -Appalling…
Market Harborough branch -Threatening, appalling and controlling behaviour by the manager and a member of staff. The preferred strength and desired taste of a coffee is a customer choice. Instead of attempting to unjustifiably control a customers choice- the two members of staff in question should be focusing on less hostile customer service and the cleanliness of the place -The Toilets are a disgrace!
Protagonists.
If a customer wants an Americano in takeaway cup, does it have to be fill with water right up to the rim?? It is dangerous when cup is too full and the coffee is like dishwater. Why it is wrong to ask little less hot water??
Beyond my understanding.
Rude Barista at Caffè Nero at 53 Marsham st
I went to Caffè Nero at 53 Marsham st, SW1P 3DP today around 11 am and I had a very disappointing experience. One of the barista seemed to be Italian or Spanish and speaks spanish that assisted me, was rude throughout our interaction. Their tone was disrespectful and he made me feel like my questions were an inconvenience rather than part of their job. He shouted at me in front of other customers not to come back to the cafe. Professionalism and basic courtesy were clearly lacking. I hope management addresses this, as no customer should be spoken to that way.

I always have a decaffeinated cappuccino and it is always hot, frothy, creamy and not too strong with a sprinkle of chocolate. The staff are always so helpful. I have tried so many including various train stations and I am never disappointed. Customer service is superb.
