My Local Store is EARLS COURT ROAD SW5 LONDON
The last few months this store has lost all atmosphere and lack of customer service and Food Choices which are now Zero.
The only good thing is Neros Coffee it’s just a shame that it’s served in such a poor environment
Stink of wet dogs
Stink of wet dogs, lukewarm coffee and last year’s croissant served by a harridan who hates men. Avoid at all costs.
Disgusting hygiene
I ordered from the Derby store via Deliveroo. I had a toastie, soup and a couple cold drinks. The toastie was stone cold but the worse was that I found 2 hairs in my soup, that weren't mine. I contacted Deliveroo who refused to refund me and I also contacted Caffè Nero who passed the blame back to Deliveroo and refused to refund me. Shocking customer service and obviously disgraceful hygiene standards. Absolutely disgusting will not order from Caffè Nero or through Deliveroo ever again. Sickening

Unpleasant In-Store Confrontation After App Feedback
During a previous visit to the Wallington branch, I was offered a Single Origin coffee and specifically asked whether it was the same price as a classic coffee. I was clearly told that it was the same price. However, I was later charged 30 pence more. While still in the store, I submitted feedback through the Caffè Nero app to express my dissatisfaction with this.
On returning to the Wallington branch today, I was approached by the store manager and confronted about the feedback I had submitted. I had believed the feedback to be anonymous, yet the manager accused me of lying about the pricing conversation. He repeatedly stated that no staff member would have told me the Single Origin coffee was the same price as a classic coffee.
During this exchange, the manager attempted to show me a small promotional board displaying the price of the Single Origin coffee. However, the price was partially obscured by other items placed in front of it. I pointed this out, but he continued to accuse me of being dishonest.
Feeling embarrassed and uncomfortable, particularly as this confrontation took place in front of other customers, I chose to leave the store. I informed the manager that I would be contacting Head Office to formally raise this matter.
Favourite coffee shop.
I frequent the Cafe Nero store in the Livingston Designer Outlet as i work elsewhere nearby.
The staff are always friendly, happy to see you and willing to chat away with you while you wait if it isnt overly busy.
The coffee is always hot and the food is good, as i often purchase for my lunch or on my way to work in the morning.
The store itself is tidy and can be quite busy (say at weekends) but queues generally move pretty quick in my experience.
Using the App to collect points
I tried to use my App to add a point to my collector card but it didn't work. My partner paid for the coffee but the point was not added. This was in Broughty Ferry near Dundee in Scotland.
The server told me my app was set to pay so she didn't know who was paying. Not sure why she didn't just help me by telling me what was happening so I could have changed it to collect token only.
Not helpful at all since it was too late to get the point added once the payment was processed.
No apology given...
loyalty programme NOT for loyal customers
I was dissapointed to learn that Caffe Nero does not award loyalty stamps on disounted drinks, including CompareTheMarket . While I understand the rules, it feels totally unfair that loyalty customers using a discount aren't recognised. A loyalty programme should reward loyal customers, not just those who pay full price.

So today the 28th of January 2026 I went into café Nero in Egham Surrey for a good to go bag the variety was amazing. The amount was amazing and the staff were absolutely lovely professional welcoming had nice smiles even though it was the end of the day and I was really happy with my good to go bag well done to the staff in the Egham branch.
Poor management
Decent enough coffee but visiting the outlet near Bath Spa station three staff were there and only one serving and then any customer who needs to use the bathroom have to go to staff to ask for the code to get in. I find that treats customers with contempt. Presumably it’s to keep non- customers from using the facilities but I watched staff give the code to non-customers when they asked anyway.

I love the carfe Nero at C S Lewis…
I love the carfe Nero at C S Lewis square Belfast: but every time I go there is at least 4/5 tables taken up by people using free wifi on their laptops. One man no matter what day or time of day he's there, same chair with cold coffee in front of him, I imagine at not they just throw a sheet over him. Today there was a full on meetings going on at two tables. I usually have a pram with me but thankfully not today or I would have had to take him upstairs or sit outside. I love the two girls who work there but they usually are worked of their feet: I understand this is why the place could be cleaner. I don't think the floors have not ben mopped in a while and the furniture is dirty and very worn. One chair, especially, when you sit on it your looking at your feet, as you are folded in two. This place is always busy as its the only chain on this part of the Newtonards road, I love this cafe, pity about those few things.
Cafe Nero Kings Square York
Cafe Nero Kings Square York. Called in for a coffee and a snack. No flapjacks left so opted for oatmeal and cranberry cookies. When we got to our table, turned them over and found they were burnt! Took them back for a refund and member of staff told me that’s how they were supposed to be. I informed him that I am a retired Env Health officer and these cookies were most certainly burnt, and not to expectation as quality food. Reluctantly they refunded me £5-80!
Quality coffee and snacks
Quality coffee and snacks. Quick, polite service. Range of seating from comfy, laid back, to wooden seats at tables suitable for laptop/tablet work. Guildford shop is usually busy but is reasonably clean. Staff seem to want to do a good job.
Don’t expect a napkin
Best coffee of all the major outlets, but don’t expect a napkin. If I am offered one, I get one. That’s it. Most places don’t even have them on the shelf next to the water/sugar. I can’t understand why they are so tight with them.
Poor customer service

Customer serive was rubbish, no smile, nonchalant attitude, only one staff member on
Drinks were cold as he was serving other customers
Went in there for a coffee
Went in there for a coffee, I wanted to pay with cash but was told I could only pay by card so I left, these people are always moaning about costs but they can afford to turn away paying customers.
