Witney Cafe Nero
Staff inability/unwillingness to confront selfish, unhygienic customers who think it’s OK to put their stinking dogs on soft covered arm chairs and settees in a crowded Cafe with long quests waiting for coffee and seats. There are no signs (I agree should not be necessary) saying “Dogs Welcome but only on the floor” Plus customers clearing and wiping dirty tables. This is not a “one of observation” it’s most days.
Café Nero Luton airport kiosk Sanam…
Café Nero Luton airport kiosk Sanam serve me such amazing hot gingerbread latte. One of th best coffees I ever had. Thank you for you professional service and smile.
Caffè Nero John Lewis Westfields…
Caffè Nero John Lewis Westfields Shepherd’s Bush…. My 1st and last time.
1-No Innocent Smoothies- Apple juice was ok and I’m guessing the usual clientele is not frequently children…
2- Vegan aerosol cream No( even the mention of it they’d Never heard of it and I’ve had it at Caffè Nero’s before )
3- Gingerbread Latte, Oat milk and cow’s milk aerosol cream “ When I ask for a specific specialty drink -IF ANY of the components/ingredients are not available I Expect to be told upfront before Ordering ( My daughter had had one the day before in Uxbridge- so delicious) No mini Gingerbread sugary men “we’ve ordered them but they didn’t come “ I replied saying BUT you need to tell me Before I order the drink will not be as advertised- complete
4- I’m 57yrs and and had my 2 yr old Grandson in a pram …… absolutely no offer to bring the 2 hot sandwiches over or the hot drink
5- I had to take the child in the pram to a vacant table quite a way from the Barista…. Go back for the tray with 2 overhanging large plates- I had to rearrange to be safe for me to carry- with the 2yr old back to the table ….. then I had to go and look for a high chair - No visible sight - because they’re stored behind a wooden partition and not visible until you walk around But I asked and was pointed in the direction of where they were - the opposite end of the open caffe to where we could sit and almost “out of the way “ rather than close to the Till so anybody needing a high chair could SEE them and easily get one to wherever they had sat.
Positive- The cheese & tomato toastie the 2yr old had he absolutely loved ( as he usually does ! My Vegan bake tasted old - dried edges
6- 2 Baristas:- the one who served me and did not tell me the Gingerbread Latte was missing an ingredient and his whole characteristic was as if I was part of a conveyor belt of customers NOT How I’d sat 80% of my experience at Caffè Nero’s usually is….. the 2nd Barista - smiling, helpful as soon as I asked about the high chair he replied and pointed and just came across as a more customer service friendly and efficient person.
Just a point that they offer Soya,Oat, Almond and Coconut milk but when it comes to “Cream- aerosol “ this one didn’t even seemed to know there is a plant based aerosol…. And yesterday the Barista did know and immediately left lied in the fridge - But I was Not surprised when I apologised that there wasn’t any- So These “Signature drinks”in Autumn or at Christmas are Not inclusive of anybody who is Lactose intolerant or chooses a plant only diet - just carry on with your usual drink- nothing special for you ….
Total rubbish
Total rubbish. How many accounts do you need with this company. I have no idea where they have sent my missing stamps. I have given them photo shot of my app and number but that did not work and I am still waiting for a response to my origional complaint. Is it no wonder their score is so poor.
Appalling way to treat loyal customers
Called in to Bournemouth outlet.
I asked very specifically if the festive specials were valid with the octopus free drink code.
The barrister said yes. So I ordered one and a fruit tea for my wife.
I specifically said to discount the festive drink.
But the tea was discounted.
When I quirked why the same barrister then said festive specials were not included.
I said ok I will have a mocha instead then but they would not give me the discount on the mocha either.
I walked out in disgust at the way I was treated and humiliated.
Absolutely disgusting way to treat people who were loyal customers.
The orange hot chocolate is pretty…
The orange hot chocolate is pretty horrible
I thought it was going to be like a drink version of Terrys chocolate orange but instead it tastes like mulled wine mixed with hot chocolate which is a really jarring combo
They let me exchange my drink for a different one so I tried the Baileys tiramisu one. Unfortunately this tasted even worse. I’m normally a Baileys fan but this just tasted like straight whiskey despite having no alcohol in it
So in the end I just drank some tap water.
To balance this review out I would say I do normally enjoy their regular hot chocolates and their festive drinks are normally better than this!
Next Xmas I’m hoping they do a cherry chocolate gateau festive hot chocolate (or an orange hot chocolate that tastes like orange chocolate!) instead of trying to over complicate things

Cafe Nero Gateway Retail Park…not a pleasurable experience
Cafe Nero Gateway Retail Park Cheltenham. Not a good experience, internet not working and lots of small flies in the cafe, not enough staff, tables not cleared and left dirty.

Complaint has been ignored
Very disappointed that after making a serious complaint on the contact form Cafe Nero website, 11 days have passed and NO REPLY
The Darlington branch has questions to answer and the place is in desperate need of a deep clean and fumigation, it smells not of roasted coffee but dirty musty smell. where are the area managers that are supposed to watch over a group of stores in one area. This store in Darlington took my money for two coffees but the transaction receipt had a zero amount for my my order, so where did the money go??? this meant, I had no digital stamps and no opportunity to win on the promotional game. Get your act together Cafe Nero!!! It is clearly obvious from the rating score on this site, that you have serious operational issues.
Great coffee yummy brownies
Great coffee, I like that the beans are not burned.
Their brownies are simply the best: moist, full of chocolate and not too sweet.
The individual shop hours may use updates on Google though
Wonderful response from Caitlin
Wonderful response from Caitlin. I had a query about the decaf coffee from Cafe Nero Clitheroe. Caitlin went over and above to get to the bottom of my enquiry. True asset to the Nero team !
SUTTON HIGH STREET IS DISGUSTING
Despite having raised the disgusting state of the store with staff many times I visited on Sunday and was shocked by the disgusting state of the store, dirty covered in dust and cobwebs. Diry floors old rotten furniture absolutely inbeleivable and looking behind the counter a complete mess and staff not following any hygiene standards at all. Should be shut down and would be if the local councul are afraid of chains like this. Duly reprted to Food Standards to investigate.
I came to the Cafe Nero at City Airport…
I came to the Cafe Nero at City Airport and asked for a pistachio croissant! Absolutely disgusting!! Pure margarine and factory made, I don’t think I have ever tasted anything like that in main coffee chains!! Awful and unhealthy!

FILTHY DISGUSTING STAIRS UP TO THE TOILETS
Caffè Nero Shrewsbury: The Latte Was Hot, The Toilet Was Hotter
Well well well, Caffè Nero. You walk in for a cappuccino, maybe a panini, and what you don’t expect is to be traumatised by facilities that look like they’ve been pulled straight from a Channel 5 documentary about abandoned prisons.
The toilet. My god, the toilet. A seat so piss-stained it could be carbon-dated back to the Crimean War. A seat so horrendously stained it looked like it had been forged in the urine mines of Mordor. Brown and yellow rings etched into the plastic like battle scars, each one telling a story of past horrors. You don’t sit on it, you challenge it. Honestly, I half expected the seat to sprout arms, grab me, and scream “YOU SHALL NOT PASS” while spraying me with urinal cake dust.
The overall vibe of the restroom was “abandoned service station in rural Bulgaria.” Pipes rattling, floor sticky, the faint aroma of despair. I’ve used portaloos at Glastonbury that were more sanitary. I felt like I Survived the psychological damage of knowing Nero could replace this monstrosity for £9.99 at B&Q, yet chose to let it fester like a relic of the plague era.
Caffè Nero, your coffee is fine. Your pastries are fine. But your toilets? An abomination. The piss-stained throne of Satan himself.
I would give 0 if I could
I would give 0 if I could
Absolutely dirty stuff, guy was taking baggies out of his nose and then make a Coffee. Disgusting
