Please ask the woman on the early 7am shift in George street Croydon to put a smile on her face. She’s the least welcoming person. I’ll visit Starbucks tomorrow. I don’t need her negative energy to st... See more

Dirty Dirty Dirty
My God; Cafe Nero you really need to up your game with cleanliness - Visited Sutton (Surrey) in the lower part of the high street - The filth in the store was unbelievable - or was it? Most of the branches now look like they haven’t seen a clean cloth in years; furniture that is way past its use; let alone the dirty tables but it’s the general run down appearance. The filth; dust & grime of the branch - This is now a matter for the Food Standards Agency as I certainly wouldn't eat anything given what I saw. Cafe Nero; why aren’t you investing in new furniture & cleaning standards? You charge enough for coffee but enough is enough - Vile!
Ma che scherzo!
Ma che scherzo!! The Poole location on the high street is manned by two people -- one is a woman with a bit of friendliness. The other is a man who has zero customer service ability. In addition, he continued to add additional money at checkout for "decaf" then more for "drinking in" after I questioned why ut was more than written on menu. When I was 5p short on cash, he began to take the cup away until I presented a card to pay with. FOR FIVE PENCE. He refused to smile, and never even said he thank you. The man needs serious retraining as he should not be serving paying customers. Interesting that no name badges are worn, but now not surprised.
Regent Street, Leamkngton Spa
The filthiest coffee shop ever seen. Glasses and jugs not clean. Milk open. Coffee everywhere. Never cleaned anything when making me a coffee.
Inattentive staff/poor training or app issues ?
Oxo Tower in London store. Apart from staff chatting rather than serving , got served the iced version of the spiced pecan latte rather than the hot version. with no apology got the hot one. Paid using app. Staff member told me payment hadn't gone through so scanned again. Meanwhile she was laughing in a "I don't care about the customer" way and drinking the non-wanted iced version. Got notification that my card had been charged twice. Complained to Nero , they sent an email for survey to fill in, but the link to complete it had expired, literally 30 minutes after they sent it. Caffe Nero need to train their staff on how to read the till showing a payment has gone through, and how about just customer care training. There you go that is positive suggestion, not that those shouldn't be minimal qualities for staff getting the job in the first place. Shame as the coffee is generally good and the majority of staff do at least look like they are interested.
Sheffield the moor paper cups again
Sheffield the moor.
Paper cups again, this is a regular occurrence. Not up to standard for this type of coffee shop.
Extra star because I like the coffee.
Very poor customer service
Male staff at Livingston always detached and disinterested, verging on unpleasant and rude. Don't look at you while serving, usually chatting with each other. Shandwick Place, the other one I go to most weeks, is pretty much the same. Same experience today - I've had enough now, so won't be back.

Visited cafe Nero in the galleria with my family, and Dean was very good, helpful and friendly. Will definitely be returning.
cafe Nero London street doesn’t deserve any stars
I went to cafe Nero, London Street Bruch. The store was filthy and customers service doesn’t exist here. Rubbish bins were overflowing, there was rubbish scattered across the floor behind the till, the work surfaces were not clean and to make matters worse the staff were rude.
I would have given a zero if it's…
I would have given a zero if it's there. I am an Indian and the moment the guy saw me in the queue completely ignored me when am in the counter and was looking at his phone. A complete RACIST. I am a tax payer. This was in victoria station morning around 7.35 am right opposite to platforms 7-15. The guy who made the coffee was so rude to a women when he missed her coffee and showing attitude. This is complete racism and not acceptable.
Poor staff and no vouchers accepted
The WiFi the till wasn't working so we couldn't get out voucher coffee with the 3 rewards app, surely they could make a nite of how many vouchers they have that day, I'm sure they turned the WiFi off as only 2 staff on in the louth Nero, they really looked as if they couldn't be bothered, left and went to a I dependant coffee shop your loss is there gain
Unscrupulous coffee pricing …
I ordered a flat white at Caffe Nero situated on the 1st floor of Fenwicks Newcastle and was told it would be £4.00 ( which is now bordering on silly) on checking my change and the price list I queried why I had only received 70p from the £5.00 offered . I was then told it was an extra 30p for that particular coffee served I was astounded at this blatant unscrupulous price hike seemingly out of nowhere? My god it’s only a cup of coffee, they just lost a customer .
Awful instore cleanliness and service
Awful instore cleanliness and service, customer service even worse.
Visited a Cafe Nero in Carmarthen…
Visited a Cafe Nero in Carmarthen yesterday. There was 3 members of staff where only one was working, the other 2 were happily chatting while the people were waiting to be served. Tables dirty, floors dirty and the toilets absolutely disgusting. Definitely not recommended this place.
One positive only, the chai latte was very nice.
disappointing experience…
I had a very disappointing experience at Caffè Nero in Edinburgh Airport. I ordered three items, including a strawberry & vanilla matcha latte and a dessert. I clearly told the staff multiple times which dessert I wanted, yet I was still given the wrong one (a brownie). When I mentioned it, I was told that because the brownie was already in my hand, they couldn’t do anything and that I had to buy the correct dessert myself – so basically pay twice.
This was not my mistake, and I find it unacceptable that a customer has to pay for a staff error. On top of that, the staff member was rude. To make matters worse, my matcha latte wasn’t even the right one either, but I was so frustrated by then that I just drank it.
Overall, the service was extremely poor – no flexibility, no customer care, and absolutely no effort to think along with the customer.
Change
Visit Cafe Nero Clitheroe at least once a week and over past 2/ 3 months there has been a deterioration in a couple of things. One toilet don’t appear to be checked regularly and there seems to be less of a welcome due to what I suspect has been staff changes. Whilst I always used to get a smile from 2/3 of the staff on last 2 visits , nothing. Maybe it wasn’t on their workdays or gone to college or uni but to me it is noticeable
The staff at Amersham Nero today were…
The staff at Amersham Nero today were fantastic with their customer service, a lady I believe called Joanna was excellent promoting the Brazil coffee to try and she told me the benefits of using your app collecting stamps and also provided me with a loyalty card. 10/10 please give her recognition especially with that lovely smile. The man she was working with was also polite.
Harborne
Harborne, Birmingham, shop.
Staff and coffee are great BUT are working with their hands tied.
The toliets are in dire need of deep cleaning and new sinks and toilet bowls. Floors have ingrained dirt. Soap dispensers have been absent or loose for the past 3 months.
A large table can never be cleaned properly as the surface is too rough and worn. This needs replacement.
Many of the chairs have seen better days and look aged and stained.
Needs a re-fit and I'd challenge Head Office to say otherwise. They really should visit.
Ignored by staff
Usually go to Caffè Nero as like the coffee. Stratford station 2 servers with 2 tills. Both chatting long conversation with one customer about their recent life experiences. Queue ignored! So gave up..,
Don’t expect friendly or polite service
It’s a very hot day, but blissfully cool in the store. Young man serving was abrupt and unfriendly. Gave my order- a frappe latte with oat milk. Watched him sling a few ice cubes into the container and take out a new oat milk. He didn’t shake it so I had a weak, watery, tepid drink. I paid over £5.00 for it.
That is ABSOLUTELY the last time I come into Neros. If the staff can’t be bothered they can do without my custom.
Is there any training on customer service? Are there any checks on performance? Apparently not.
This is in the Exeter branch.
Birmingham New Street
Girl didn't listen in Birmingham New Street branch and have me wrong order. Had to sit at a dirty table while two staff were laughing and giggling instead of tidying up as there were no customers waiting. Poor service
