I recently contacted the Egham officer by email and was disappointed to receive no response at all. As a customer, I expected at least an acknowledgment or a brief update. The lack of communication reflects poorly on the service and left me feeling ignored. Do not ask for my personal details.

We purchased a gorgeous Brodick at Cala Cedar Brae; Laurence & Sarah were amazing from start to finish can’t thank them enough!!
We had looked at every house builder and as soon as we stepped into the Cala showhomes and met the team we knew this was where we had to be, they were so friendly & helpful, and of course stunning houses. Laurence and Sarah are an asset to Cala!

We had George round on Friday to do some plastering and painting in our en-suite bathroom. As always, George did an incredible job and was extremely professional in his work leaving the space immaculate! Thanks again George!

Jenny and Lizzy were very welcoming and informative. They spent a lot of time with us, we never felt rushed and were a great help in answering all our queries.

Great experience with CALA. Jenny and Lizi are both informative and patient, spending plenty of time answering our questions. We never felt rushed during our appointments and both individuals have been easy to deal with.

Andy Jones and Karen Cooper have been exceptionally helpful during our part exchange and purchase.
No detail was too small for them to explain and they have kept us in touch with each development in the move in good time and with good cheer.
From allowing us to come and measure and check layouts to providing us with home packs and making sure we are happy they have both gone above and beyond.
Honestly it felt like we were their only priority which is impressive, Andy even answered emails when he was off which was very kind and certainly not expected.

Andy Jones and Karen Cooper have been excellent throughout our purchase process. They have both always gone the extra mile without coming across as pushy. I consider that they are extremely professional and would be very keen to instruct either of them if I were selling.

Our experience of working with Cala has been five stars. Vickie, Emily and Emma have been great and they made the whole process approachable and positive.

The team made themselves available to answer our countless questions and guide us as to what decisions need to be made and by when, allowing us to make informed timely decisions and importantly enjoy the experience.

A special shout out to Vickie, who was instrumental in our decision making process and for all the support she provided throughout.

The team also arranged site viewings with the site managers, allowing us to watch the build progress and enjoy a unique experience.

Buying a new home is rarely as easy as advertised. When things don’t run smoothly, the key difference is the people.

Three years, one month and approximately 19 days on — and my garden is still in a terrible state.

From day one, the lawn has been patchy, thin and poorly established. The soil is compact, stony and of poor quality, with bare earth visible throughout. This is not the result of neglect or misuse, this is the result of inadequate ground preparation before handover.

Cala Homes and their aftercare landscaping contractor chose to blame me and my brand new lawn mower for the condition of the grass. That response is not only dismissive, it is simply not credible. No lawn mower causes compacted, stony, nutrient-deficient soil.

Over the past three years I have spent considerable time and money bringing in professionals to assess and try to remedy the situation. Every single one of them has reached the same conclusion, the grass cannot root properly because the soil quality is poor and was never fit for purpose from the outset. I'm not the only one in the development facing this, and quite a few has already returfed their garden because the quality was so diabolical.

The responsibility for this lies with the developer, not the homeowner. I would strongly caution anyone purchasing a new build from Cala Homes to thoroughly inspect the condition of their garden soil at handover and document everything before signing anything.

We are just coming up to our 2years with Cala. Our home has been wonderful, just some cracks, mastic and metal tape issues. We had Ed from Cala in a few times to address these and he has done an exceptional job repairing the defects. He also works efficiently, thoroughly and created perfect finishes. He is also a very respectful person and was always mindful of me and my newborn baby when carrying out work, even going the extra mile to help bring the car seat in from the porch when my hands were full! Great to also feel very safe with a tradesman. Would thoroughly recommend Cala.

We have received excellent ongoing support from Sunnie Gibb since our first contact several months ago.The advice we have received has been invaluable. We have been kept informed of progress with the new development at Hillside Gardens, in Aberdour which has enabled us to prepare to market our current property at the correct time
Sunnie is so approachable and knowledgeable. We feel reassured that we are making the correct decisions as the advice from Sunnie is specific to our requirements.

We had great help from Ed at Cala SHC who sorted out a leak that we had in our house, he came quick and managed to explain everything that he needed to do to sort out the leak and managed to sort it out quicker than waiting for contractors to sort it out quickly and efficiently. Thank you Ed
We would also like to mention Christina from the customer service team for getting Ed to our aid as without her help we would not have got the right person to help us. Thank you Christina.

Visited Cala, Aurs Meadows today & the service we received was outstanding, Fraz and Rossana were so welcoming & helpful, couldn’t recommend them enough, we left without any questions unanswered! I must add, when booking my appointment, I spoke with Astrid who was also very helpful, 5 starts for them all!
Having visited other builders prior to this & leaving disappointed with unanswered questions, feeling that my time had been wasted, not with Cala, they blow other builders out the water in my experience!
