Jupiter FL, Old Dixie Hwy location

Jupiter FL. Old Dixie Hwy location-
I brought my truck to Caliber Collision for a minor repair. "AJ" at Caliber called me and quoted a price of $1,360. This seemed high for the repair, but based on their reviews, I trusted them (big mistake). I told them that if the total cost was $1,360, they could proceed with the repair.

However, when I arrived to pick up my truck, the receptionist presented me with a bill for **$2,135**—almost **double** the quoted price! "AJ" admitted that he originally told me the repair would cost $1,360 but then claimed he had "forgotten about labor costs" when providing the quote. At no point did he call to inform me of the price increase, nor did he obtain my authorization for the additional charges. When confronted, they admitted their mistake and simply said, **"Sorry, it was our mistake."**

I made it clear that I was now being forced to pay nearly double the agreed-upon price for **their** mistake.

Caliber Collision refused to release my truck or keys until I paid the full **$2,135**—despite their failure to disclose the additional charges in advance.

I am now opening an investigation with the **Jupiter Police Department** regarding this situation due to possible legal violations, including:

- **Unsolicited Services Rule**
- **Contracts and Agreements Violations**
- **Fraud or Deception**

I will update on further information provided by the police department investigation.

Looking for a great repair place, Caliber Collision is the place.

Looking for a great repair place, then Caliber Collision is the place.
Was hit from behind on the 24th of January “25” and took my Honda to Caliber on Slover in Fontana, CA. Mrs. Priscilla was my advisor and took really good car of me and my case: friendly atmosphere and very professional…even contacted a rental company so I could have transportation during the repairs. Repairs was completed in a timely manner and earlier than expected. The technicians and repair personnel did a great job on the repairs: when completed, my car looked like a brand new Honda…100% Recommendation if you’re looking for a professional, honest, and caring company.

What a horrendous experience

What a horrendous experience. On my first call, Danny assured my repair would begin once the estimate was done. At intake/drop off, I sat in seat showing dashboard alarms and steering wheel as my primary concerns - minimal body damage. I checked in at 1 week - 'it's in the paint shop' .... 2 weeks, 'it's in the paint shop' ... 3 weeks later.... 'missing parts...' After almost 4 weeks, 'ready.' I start it up and the all alarms are still going off! Lots of scrambling, computer interrogation and resets, 'all fixed.' I start to drive out and realize the steering wheel is still skewed to 11 o'clock! Response? 'Looks like it needs alignment....' Off to an outside mechanic to replace a bent wheel arm and realignment. 'Ready' again. Apparently, there've been a lot of test drives - my quarter tank is on fumes. Straight to gas station and the gas nozzle won't go in. Blocked. (Damage was at left rear tire below gas tank.) Back, again to 'charmed' again by the rude and sarcastic Danny who passive aggressively delays my request for manager contact information by wandering around the office from room to room, fiddling with the printer etc. When I ask if she could just write the number on a piece of paper, she snarls she is not at my 'beckon call,' scribbles on a post-it and shoves it at me. By now the incompetent manager Joseph is back at my truck saying, 'never saw that before.' He comes back later and tells me it's full of ice. Who knows how these clowns managed to get water into my gas fuel access and then freeze it. His solution? 'We'll just put a heat gun on it.' When I questioned, 'Heat gun... gas tank?' he snarked, 'we know what we're doing!' Really? My truck disappears again, later to return with Joseph's dismissive report that he used an awl to dig the ice out.... Once Caliber had my truck captive, I got nothing but sarcasm, impatience and rude dismissive behaviors on top of incompetence. No acknowledgements or apologies ever for incredibly poor service. I later spoke to a mechanic friend who asked if was a different local
Caliber shop he had suspicions about. When I said, 'Owings' he said - 'Oh, even worse.' AVOID CALIBER AT ALL COSTS EVEN IF YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY SENDS YOU THERE. YOU HAVE A CHOICE AND CALIBER IS NOT A GOOD ONE...BE WARNED.

I took my 2005 Honda Pilot here because…

I took my 2005 Honda Pilot here because of a claim of attempted theft. They only had to fix the driver's side door. They called me to pick up my vehicle, and it wouldn't start. They told me my car wouldn't start when I left it with them, which is a lie. I drove my car to Caliver Collision. Apart from this, I had to contact my insurance and then took it back to them. When I picked it up, to my surprise, my seats had been replaced with old and broken ones. I complained and spoke to Antony, the manager, but they refused to explain what happened. In conclusion, if you take your car to this workshop, take photos of the interior and exterior because if your car is old and the parts are no longer sold, someone who works there will steal the good parts and replace them with old ones. This workshop is not to be trusted.

If I could give a lower score I would

If I could give a lower score I would. Fortunately, I have to give a star as the lowest score possible to give for their poor repair jobs and cutting corners on repairs. A word of warning to all consumers to stay far away from them as possible. They will refuse to own up to their short cuts on repairs even when you point it out to them.

BEWARE

If you are looking for a honest and reliable body repair shop… This is not the place. We had to call and email for updates. We had a switch of estimators, the original one was promoted to a manager position, the replacement estimator got fired or left the company and then the manager took back over. Communication is a joke there. When trying to address the issues we were having nobody would return messages left. We were given 3 estimated completion dates. They didn’t even access the damage all the way until we kept asking about the damaged exhaust. I am highly disappointed coming from an automotive/heavy duty career background. I would never treat my customers like this. I was even reached out by a recruiter for a position at one of Calibers shop. I expressed the frustration of the current situation and advised I am not interested in working for a company that operates this way. They were going to look into it and I never heard back from them. I even reached out to the corporate office and no contact was even made by them. Judson should be ashamed this is how he is operating his location.

Long story short, don’t waste your time with this shop. Even if they have the approval portal/access with the insurance companies.

**Update** We called a few weeks ago to advise the bolts of the bed are backing out. My husband went by and had the truck inspected, we will advise they were ordering the complete bumper and hardware to correct this issue. Several weeks go by, no phone call. We left several messages for Judson Smith to return the missed back. No call backs. Called again 1/29/25 and spoke with another employee at the location. Judson would not come to the phone to discuss. Advised by the employee they need to inspect the vehicle, advised we already did that and parts were suppose to be on order. He stated Judson did not inspect this issue and did not order parts. AGAIN.. Another poor experience with this location and employees. There is some serious issues at this location.

Caliber Collision 8135 Gateway Drive, Argyle, Texas

Yesterday, January 17, 2025, my wife and I received our Hyundai Palisade back from Caliber Collision which is located in Argyle, Texas. From the the time of our estimate on January 7th and throughout the entire process of having our car repaired, Service Adviser, Margie Switzerler and the receptionist, Elizabeth, made my wife and I feel as if we were the only clients on their busy schedule. The receiving area is immaculate. This was to me, an indication of the service we would be receiving. Elizabeth greeted us with a warm courteous smile and reached out to Margie, to let her know we were present. Within a few short minutes Margie was standing before us. She assessed the damaged and gave us the time frame of when our car would be ready. The assessment was honest. With professionalism she showed us that damage extended beyond what my wife and I had not seen before. She told us the car would be ready in two weeks. After dismantling the area that needed to be repaired a part was needed. We were informed by Margie about the status and possible new timeframe of the repair. Needless to say the car was repaired in the two week timeframe as promised. I thereby recommend Argyle Caliber Collision for their honesty, and courteous professionalism. Thank you Margie. Thank you Elizabeth. My appreciation is also extended to the rest of the staff of Caliber Collision on Gateway Drive. Lew and Ginny Y.

Poor customer service

This is regarding caliber in hope mills NC. The woman I spoke with on the phone had ZERO customer service skills and after laughing at me, proceeded to hang op the phone on me and end the call. After calling back to file a complaint the manager made several excuses for the rude customer service. I will never do business here again.

If I could give this body shop zero stars, I would. They did a horrible job completing work on my vehicle, it took them months to return it, they returned my car dirty with marks that weren't previously on it. They were clearly using my car for personal use because I found a ladies personal item jammed between the seats. Totally unprofessional, shame on you Caliber Collision in Shorewood

Maria Makes It Better

The office manager/front desk person, Maria Arias Velasco, is the sunshine on a dark cloudy day. In the scheme of tow trucks & logistics my 2024 Lyriq was lost. Maria "baby sat" me thru a disturbing time & helped find my injured beast ,,,,,,,, always with a smile. If I had a business, I would steal her away at any cost. You can teach job functions but common sense & the psychology of dealing with stressed people comes from within.

HONORABLE MENTION: Brandon Gobright, service advisor is very knowledgeable, patient & explains things clearly. I was confident that the repairs would be first class but damage to the electrical system required a GM certified Cadillac dealer to perform the operations.

JOB WELL DONE!!

Was referred to Caliber Collision by Geico after my car was hit and damaged in California. Original service communication with Brandy, Rosa and Service Advisor Adam in Arizona was professional, personable and efficient. Follow-up communication with Service Advisor Adam was timely and excellent. I indicated that I needed my car to drive back over to California sooner than the original completion date. And, WOW, did Adam and his team come through big time! I received my repaired car back in one week less than the original quote! And the damaged area was repaired in a beautifully professional manner.

The overall outstanding level of service attitude and pride in getting the job done in an exceptional manner was very evident and very much appreciated. Very impressive. After my exceptionally good experience at this local business, I have no hesitation in highly recommending them for future collision repair needs. Job well done! Thank you so much!!

Serious concerns regarding repair and compensation for loss of job

I am writing on behalf of myself and my mother, a formal complaint against Caliber Collision located at 15833 Bear Valley Road, Hesperia, CA 92345 (Phone: 760-947-8158). Our concerns are:
The shop initially quoted an 8-day repair time for extensive front-end damage. However, it has now been 75 days, and our vehicle is still not repaired.
We were told twice that our vehicle was ready for pickup, only to find upon arrival that it wasn't ready. This has caused significant inconvenience and wasted time.
The shop attempted to release the vehicle to us with a known airbag issue. They insisted that we drive the vehicle until the necessary part was ready, potentially putting our lives at risk.
Despite my mother (primary vehicle owner) designating me as the main point of contact due to her advanced age, the shop refuses to communicate with me. This violates our right to designate a representative as per California law.
We've noticed inconsistencies in the repair estimates provided by the shop.
Due to this prolonged repair process and lack of transportation, I have lost my job, causing significant financial hardship.
The attempt to release a vehicle with a known airbag malfunction is a severe violation of safety standards and ethical practices in the automotive repair industry. This action, along with the other issues, appears to violate several aspects of the Automotive Repair Act and consumer protection laws.
We request a thorough investigation into Caliber Collision's practices, particularly their willingness to release a vehicle with known safety issues. This behavior not only violates repair standards but also potentially endangers lives.
Our insurance company has paid $8,900 for the repairs. However, given the extended timeframe, safety violations, communication issues, and the impact on my employment, we believe additional compensation and corrective action are warranted.
We look forward to your prompt response and assistance in addressing these serious concerns
