This company once upon a time use to be good - now it's atrocious. You cannot trust them with anything. I have just tried to log back in to my account to begin a heavy 3 month marketing campaign... See more

I received a quick answer which referred me to a good deal or useful information about how Campaignmonitor works, especially the security section.
Curtis from support went above and beyond
Curtis from support was amazing! I am new to email campaigns and he was able to help me with everything from authenticating my domain to cleaning up my subscriber list and even best practices for increasing open and click rates. He really went above and beyond.

Campaign Monitor is the worst
Campaign Monitor is the worst. Look out for the no exit claus in their contract. Unfortunately due to COVID-19 our business has been severely impacted like a lot most of our profit and budgets we have had to write down more then 50%. They aren't willing to help or assist us as a business. Not even an early exit fee, just deferred payments.
The platform is not even that good, everyone - look at Klavyio
Premier customer for some time but then…
Premier customer for some time but then treated by CM's "customer support" robots like garbage.
Awful is being a little kind to be honest.
One of the most counter-intuitive and bug-ridden email service providers out there. There are many other businesses that do it better and email isn't even the mainstay of their business.
Limited functionality, poor image compression and incredibly weak customer support.

Like dealing with a robot with no desire to help paying customers.
Parts of their interface have always bothered me but I carried on. However, the customer service is so bad it's laughable and they seem completely unbothered that we are leaving after 5+ years of business due to their inflexibility.

Spent the last 2hours designing an email using their 'free design feature'. After I had added all the content, I requested to be moved to 'preview' I was taken to the original format, not the design I had painstakingly created. I then was asked to fill out my contact details only for the screen to freeze and not be able to move to the next section. Will not be using again, as clearly not fit for purpose and looking at the other reviews, I perhaps should have done some due diligence before wasting half my money! Thanks Campaign Monitor!
worst company ever
worst company ever! never again, took rthe money and blocked my account the day after.
*DO NOT USE | 1 Star is overly generous!
I would never use this company's services again. 1 Star is overly generous.
My account was closed (unknowingly to me) no email, no communication what so ever. Can't log back in, can't access my database, no word from support. Essentially hung out to dry.
They have no way of advising clients…
They have no way of advising clients whether or not there email servers are working. The reset password functionality does not work.
They claim it is only us, however all other emails are working perfectly with our servers. There customer service is so limited, I would not use this platform for serious commercial purposes.

did not have a very intuitive interface as was a bit pricey for what i needed. support was lacking as well.
Account closed without a notice
Just after I submitted my first campaign for an approval process, my account was closed without any notice. No email, nothing, I just found out I'm not able to log in anymore or access the account via API. I have no idea why it happened as customer support never replied to my emails.
I suppose I'll be charged for a service I wasn't able to use. This attitude is unjustifiable.
Read small print and keep a record of your database...
After using this company for more than 8 years across a number of clients, when we no longer had access to an email address on one client account and there was no recourse - no backup recovery system!
And after nothing less than a blunt and dogmatic response to our issue, we were told in no uncertain terms - that it was 'tough'.
Despite offering to prove ownership via Credit Cards statements, HMRC records, Companies House details etc. We were still met with a shut door. Not even Google has this draconian approach to someone else's information.
As such, I am now reviewing the use of CM with all our clients.
Be very careful to keep any copies of your lists because it may suffer the same fate and CM doesn't seem to care.
Luckily for us, we have now found an old copy of our 3K+ database - but be warned, if you lose access to your email - you lose access to your database.
Disappointed of Essex!
MC2 Marketing
They will pause your money-making emails. They don't care.
After sending them previous email reports and showing them you are in good standing with another service, they will pause your account, hold you hostage, and not refund you for the emails you paid for and did not use.
You get sucked in by the nice designs
You get sucked in by the nice designs, invest days and weeks to perfect it, then realised they charge more without notifications, do as they wish and even the replies by the customer services is a TEMPLATE. Ironic, sad and disappointing. AVOID
Unethical
They put you on auto-renewal and their renewal emails point you to the contract end date but is silent about cancellation needing to be 30 days BEFORE that date. Complete shonks.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - GO ELSEWHERE
Similar to the other complaints on this site about Campaign Manager, I too have had a bad experience and they have been charging me for 8 months without using their service.
I uploaded a new credit card on December and my billing was unbeknown to me, changed to monthly.
I escalated this to their Head of Support and was disappointed, although not surprised, that the poor approach to customer service clearly comes from the top.
Campaign Monitor operate a business in what is now a highly competitive environment, my advice is DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
Whilst the founder's are now two of the wealthiest people in Australia, customer service clearly is no longer of importance to them from their ivory tower.
Again - GO ELSEWHERE and avoid the pitfalls I have experienced from this shonky company.
Took my money and closed my account and refuse to refund me.
Took my money and closed my account and refuse to refund me. I have only sent 1000 emails. They have a vague policy that doesn't state what marketers sectors should be in. Make sure you check you can use their platform before you enter your card details.
