Confused
Ordered the campark action camera directly from the website and received a package from my local Amazon with the camera inside.
Amazon sells the same camera for $10 less then the actual website
Very lousy customer service
I recently bought a security camera system from Campark.net about a week or so ago. Shortly afterwards, I had some issues with setup, so I sent an email to all the email addresses that I could locate in the user manual, including tech support, as directed by someone named Lisa. They got back to me and I was able to resolve the first issue. Then, a few days ago, I had a more serious issue with one of the cameras, in that it would not connect to the base or to the app (CloudEye) and I could not access any images via the camera. Again I wrote to all of the available email addresses, detailing my issue. To this date, I have not had a reply from anyone. In my note, I stated that I needed help with the issue, or an exchange, or a refund. No response. I wrote a similar review on their website, it was up for a few minutes and now it disappeared. My rating is for their lousy customer service, or lack of customer service, thereof.
CamPark Baby cam a winner for me
I was gifted a baby cam from CamPark and it has thankfully not failed us once. A full charge can last up to 8 hours (unless baby decides to consistently make noise) the video screen automatically comes alive when my little one begins to cry and then music feature on it does wonders to get them back to sleep in a short space of time.
I would recommend the product to new parents who want the assurance that they will be notified at the first cry.
Don’t buy from Campark. Awful company to deal with.
I bought a Campari T100 just over a year ago.
It has stopped working, all they would offer was 15 dollar discount. By the time I’d payed postage and a fee to pay in dollars I’d of been left with no discount.
They have been very difficult to deal with and appear to be happy their product only last 13 months.
Don’t buy from this company, go else where.
I purchased a Campark T200 on Amazon
I purchased a Campark T200 on Amazon. The camera was sturdy and well-made. The sealed design provided confidence that the unit was unlikely to experience water damage under normal use. The ability to use the strap or wall mount provided with the camera was also a plus. The setup was somewhat intuitive and the screen was large, bright and easy to navigate. The video at 1080 was crisp and clear.
The solar unit used to power the T-200 was outstanding. It used a USB type C connector on the underside of the unit to plug directly into the top of camera. Once the internal battery of the solar unit was fully charged, using the 12-volt AC/DC charger provided with the camera, the unit held a charge extremely well and required minimal sunlight to remain charged. I tried using the rechargeable batteries I normally use for everything, but they did not provide enough voltage to power the camera. So if you plan to use batteries as a backup, you’ll want to use full-power 1.5 V alkaline batteries.
The first unit I received would not write data to the SD card, but Campark’s customer support was Johnny-on-the-spot with possible solutions. Unfortunately, despite copious communications, none of them worked and the unit had to be replaced. But two thumbs up for Campark customer/technical support for its prompt attention. Sadly, the replacement unit only worked sporadically, despite installing a firmware update, and I had to return it as well.
Campark desperately needs a technical writer, fluent in English, to edit their technical documentation, including onscreen prompts and Owner’s Manuals. Technical writing must be clear and unambiguous. When detailing the human interface with electronic devices, correct punctuation, precise nomenclature and syntax are essential to ensure clarity. Unfortunately, deficiencies in these areas make it difficult to understand Campark’s product documentation, which in some cases does not even match the product specifications.
Despite multiple attempts to connect the camera to my iPhone via Bluetooth/Wi-Fi it never worked satisfactorily. To make this connection you must have the appropriate app. In the case of the T-200 it is called “Hunting 4K”. Once launched, the app provides some rather garbled instructions on the procedures for linking your mobile device to the camera. Once again, the grammar, punctuation and syntax make it nearly unintelligible. After several attempts I managed to connect my iPhone to the camera but could neither access the contents of the SD card or get a live view from the camera.
I also tried using the USB to mini-USB cable provided with the camera to connect the T-200 directly to my computer and received the following alert: “The disk you attached was not readable by this computer.” Apple computers and Mac OS are capable of reading and writing to nearly every type of media available, so this was quite a surprise. I was given the option to initialize the disk, but not wishing to risk the possibility of the SD not functioning properly with the camera, I decided to forgo this feature as well. At this point the only way to retrieve data from the camera is to remove the SD card and plug it directly into my computer. Since this is the method I have used exclusively in the past, it's not so bad. But I was hoping for more.
On summation, I would say that Campark makes some interesting products, but do not be swayed by all the advertised bells and whistles, and get ready to pull-out your hair when trying to decipher the User Manual.
Never received product and got nothing…
Never received product and got nothing but runaround from "Lisa". Please avoid this company. Investigate all the poor customer service complaints.
Worst company to deal with
Worst company to deal with. Charged me for 1 camera, 10 months later they charged me again through amazon. I could never get a credit. So I paid nearly $300 for a trail cam. Give me a break.
CamPark X30 = terrible. Poor customer service.
I was given a CamPark X30 for a gift. The image stabilisation was nowhere near good enough for mountain biking. I used it maybe 8 times before it died. I tried new batteries in it and it still didn't work unless it was plugged into the charger. CamPark won't replace it as it was a few weeks out of warranty.
Would be good for anyone that wants shaky videography and only lasts 8 uses.
Poor quality products with terrible service
Do not purchase from this company. Their sensors fail without warning after only a few years and they do not replace unless the failure is within 3 months according to their website. Sensors should last for 20 years / after many hundreds of thousands of video frames. For a little more you can buy an old model GoPro that is much better designed and built. I greatly regret this purchase. I purchased their Campark Action Cam Ultra HD 4K Waterproof Sports Camera WiFi Camcorder. The sensor failed after 2 years exactly and 3-4 uses of the camera.
Item not in stock but still charged
I ordered a trail camera online and was told a few days later that it was out of stock. I was charged extra because I ordered from the UK and when I received the refund it was less than I had originally paid. Not sure how you can allow people to purchase an item and charge them extra when the product is not in stock.
Campark.net - Quality products and excellent customer support
Our organization ordered 20 trail cameras via the campark.net website. The customer service was top of the line! We had to deal with expediting the package from China to French Polynesia (via an intermediary parcel forwarder service located in the United States) and the customer support accompanied us every step of the way. We would like to thank their team (Ariel and Lisa) and recommend their company for anybody looking for quality trail cameras at an affordable price with excellent customer support. Five stars!
