I too was nervous to order from here due to the negative reviews but decided to go ahead and give them a chance. The item I ordered was perfect, shipping wasn't super fast but not slow either and tracking number was provided. Will be ordering from them again.

I was very, very nervous to make a purchase from CampSaver given all of the terrible reviews about the website, so I have to write a review about the positive experience I had. I purchased a Mackage coat that I couldn't find in stock anywhere else. I did my research beforehand—I checked the refund policy and made sure it was in stock at CampSaver (I also live in the US, which probably makes shipping easier). I placed my order and I received upgraded two-day shipping. The item promptly shipped and I received the order in two days. It was packaged well and the coat came on a Mackage hanger (no garment bag, but I'm not 100% sure the coats typically come with one). It was significantly discounted, so I was afraid it may be damaged or a sample or something like that, but it was in pristine condition—no signs of wear, damage, stains, etc.

I'm really happy with this purchase and I would order again from CampSaver. Based on other reviews, I would do your homework before making a purchase and make sure that the item you are interested in is in stock and is able to be returned. I also think being in the continental US is also helpful as well so you don't have to deal with customs, etc.

I've ordered several things from CampSaver that I found on other sites, but was much cheaper when purchased here. Shipping is not super-speedy, but it is totally free; even returns. Everything I ordered was exactly as described and in great/new condition. The return policy is fantastic as well. It is hard to buy clothes online these days without trying them on first and it is nice to be able to easily send it back if it does not fit. Now, I check CampSaver before buying anything that they might stock because of their low prices, great deals and great service.

I had an excellent experience with these guys! Everywhere I looked this sweater with $195 Canadian, so when I saw it listed here for significantly less I was skeptical. It didn’t help that there was an extreme mix of reviews online, however, some of the negative reviews are senseless and dumb. I placed my order on January 30, and received it today, February 11. Not sure where they are located,But I am in Toronto, Canada so I don’t know if that is standard time for them or not. I didn’t have to deal with customer service for any reason so I can’t give an opinion on that but the prices, shipping speed and customer satisfaction our way up for this guy

Emails get sent at a rate of one per day. Verification of card details is a joke. Payed for express shipping only to find that it’s been seven days and still it’s not been shipped. You’d get better service from a blind and deaf merchant in a Turkish bazaar.

This store told me 'Out of stock' after 3 weeks later I ordered.
I waste 3 weeks!
They don't care Inventory.

Like many buyers, the negative reviews made me nervous about ordering from Campsaver. I had ordered from them many years ago without issue. However, I wasn't sure if anything had changed since then. This ordering dilemma came about because Campsaver is the only online U.S. vendor selling the Rab Expedition 7000 jacket. The website stated that my size was in stock, which made it difficult to pass up. I really wanted this item over any competing product, so I decided to take the risk ordering.
The ordering process was easy and I was able to take advantage of a 20% discount code. The order shipped within 48 hours using the shipping method I selected. I received the order without issues and was very pleased upon opening the box. The item was in brand new condition, and in the correct color and size. Best of all, this difficult to obtain jacket is amazing.

At this point I have to say 1 star, I placed my order on November 30 and my status says “order placed”. It has been over a month! And I have only received a generic email reply to my email asking about the order. This is unacceptable.

They suck!!! Don’t order from them, it’s not free returns unless you accept a campsaver credit for their overpriced items. So regret ordering from them

Sharp selling AVOID Be very cautious of this site - particularly for overseas/UK shoppers. The online price includes some expensive but VERY slow shipping (mine took 18 days) before arriving at UK customs. At this point you find out that duty and tax is required on the item. I ordered a $450 ski jacket, paid $60 postage (yes - for the 18-22 days delivery!) and then was stung for $170 of additional duty and tax here in the UK. Total cost $680 - very, very different to the deal I thought I was getting. My item was eventually delivered after 22 days and it’s the wrong size. I can’t send it back though without losing the $170 paid to customs (which I would also have to pay for a second time if campsaver bothered to send a replacement – and presumably it’d take another month or so to get).
When I got in touch with the company to complain about this lack of disclosure on the true costs (and the woefully poor delivery speed), they replied "it’s moving along" and pointed me to some fine print buried on a page on their website in regards to additional costs for shipping/custom clearance falling to the customer. They had no reply to my commentary that many US retailers either: i) make these costs clear at checkout, or ii) cover them for UK customers and include in the purchase cost.
Be warned that if you pay these customs/tax, they are not refundable – meaning you have to implicitly trust Campsaver that they’ll get it right. If you don’t pay, you can’t be refunded the shipping costs incurred. The whole company feels like its set up to take advantage of overseas customers and engage in sharp selling practices that limit opportunities to cancel/reorder as well as costing you significantly more than you expect. I will never use them again. AVOID

I ordered anyways despite being nervous because of the negative reviews. However, I had a great experience.

My Marmot down sleeping bag arrived via UPS (w/ tracking) within 4 days of ordering and I'm loving it.

I placed an order with CampSaver.com despite the many negative reviews on Trustpilot because they offered the best deal on the coat I wanted. I ordered it on Saturday, it shipped Monday, and was delivered the following Monday via free "value" shipping from Utah to Pennsylvania. I was worried that the coat would be second-quality because it was so cheap, but it arrived in perfect condition. While I absolutely believe the other reviewers who had bad experiences, I wanted to share my positive experience as well.

Order a tent and wait for two weeks yet not getting the tracking code or shipment update. When I contact their CSAfter the first week, they told me the ordered already shipped, but when I contact again in the second week, they told me the order just being processed and ask me to wait couple more day for the tracking code.

Please don’t be fool on this website thinking you can save. I ordered an item, put the right shipping address, confirmation email showed a wrong name where it ship to. No option to cancel the purchase even if you just put it a second ago. Contacted support and they told me it has already been shipped and ai have to pay $16.40 to have UPS return it. Ridiculous!!!

I will have to say that my experience was not great. Before you pull out your wallet to purchase from CampSAVEr, please SAVE your money for a company with better customer service.

I purchased a lid top to my hydroflask. I got mine within a week which was not bad. I will say that shipping is pretty high. It cost nearly $9 for shipping a plastic lid, but I figured if the lid was on sale it all evens out.

The day after I got it I found a better deal somewhere else and so I returned the lid immediately back to CampSaver without even opening the package up (so it was never used and returned right away).

The CampSaver Return Policy directly from the website section discloses:

'We want your experience with us to be easy and hassle-free. If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return most unused items within 60 days of receipt of merchandise for an exchange, store credit, or full refund. After 60 days, only new items in the original manufacturer's packaging and with all original contents included (e.g. tags, instruction manuals, accessories, and additional components) may be returned for store credit.

Shipping Refunds
CampSaver proudly ships most ground orders free of charge for orders over $49. Unfortunately, for orders not qualifying for free shipping, we are unable to offer refunds for shipping charges, including but not limited to, domestic Ground, Express or international shipping. Please be advised that we are unable to refund any fees imposed by an entity other than CampSaver (such as customs or brokerage fees).

Note: Upon approval, CampSaver refunds customers via the original payment method. For example, if a customer paid via PayPal, any necessary refunds will be applied to the customer's PayPal account. In rare cases, circumstances may require that we issue a check to the customer via USPS mail when an additional refund is due.'

*** Reading above, it never says that the customer will have to pay for the PayPal fee in the return process. I work in ecommerce retail as well and i've refunded customers via PayPal. There's an obvious 'Refund' button inside of PayPal to the direct customer that allows the customer to get a refund back without fees being taken out.

I explained to email support that the refund had a fee taken out of the refund so I got refunded back less than what I was promised. This is what the support replied back with:

"Thank you for your feedback! We refunded the entire amount available ($9.49) to your paypal account.The $0.89 fee was directly from paypal, so we are not able to do anything about that. I apologize that this has been somewhat of a frustrating process, but if you use this code: ----, you will be able to use it for 10% off your next order. Thank you!"

I definitely call bull on this because i've never had an issue with refunding customers via PayPal and making sure that a fee wasn't taken out.

It's very CLEAR this company cares more about making sure they make money instead of making sure they take care of their customers. No wonder they have terrible ratings online, and it was my mistake of not doing my research on the company before purchasing from them.

PLEASE DON'T PURCHASE AND SUPPORT THIS KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I just want to leave CampSaver an amazing review on my moose knuckle 3q coat I just received. Iam inlove! I was so worried after seeing so many bad reviews about this site and this coat is awesome! Also, it came in less than a week! Thank you so much!

They said estimate 20-30 day delivery. Talked with someone on their website chat. He told me it could take up to a year! What kind of company is this? I wouldnt recommend doing any business with them.

Great experience. I bough a tee and a jacket that was on sale and had a great experience. Received the products on the estimated time, both the products were right, and I am amazed with the quality of the jacket (it is a DEMO) but you cannot really tell the difference of the one I got and a new one. Have 0 problems with CampSaver. Will definitely buy some more stuff. Looking at all bad reviews I don’t know if I got lucky or what... but everything went just perfect. Best price for the jacket and I dig down the online stores.

Got pants that had a messed up dye pattern, asked for exchange but asked that someone check first that the other pairs are not also seconds, got another pair of seconds, had to return that too, got a measly refund and spent a lot of effort and post office trips to deal with their errors.
