Warning about Canada Gaming Computers

Update:
Their customer service reached out to make things right. Honestly, they put in a lot of effort and I appreciate what they did. I got my activation codes within a day. Additionally, I was given a free gaming chair, a partial $40 refund to cover the dents in the case, and they shipped the correct RAM modules to me. They assured me that it was an honest mistake and since they tried very hard to make me happy, I believe them!! The system works great and I have no issues.

Hi, I know many of you know this company is a huge red flag, but I’m going to share my story for the new folks. I had been looking for a high end ish gaming pc for a month, and after comparing prices between several companies I decided to go with them, which was the worst mistake I ever made. The phone number on the website goes directly to an automated system, and they reply to your email in 48-72 hours, if ever!!! I chose a computer for $3199 and submitted my order. I priced matched a cpu with another website, with every other component staying exactly the same. While the website still said that my order will be shipped the next day, I reached out and was informed after A WEEK that it will take some time. A WEEK AFTER, I reached out again and was told that it will take some more time and I can expect it in NEXT WEEK. The shipping costs were refunded as it took them more than 3 weeks to send me a prebuilt computer! I finally received the computer and it’s not what I bought!! There are several dents in the body of the case, and the ram is not 6000mhz, which is what I purchased. Before saying I need to enable xmp, the physical stick is 5600mhz. I was also promised a windows license key and an xbox gaming pass as a promo, which I did not receive and no one is responding to any of my emails. I will talk to my bank for a partial charge back, and I suggest, STAY AWAY FROM THEM!

Overall I am satisfied with the purchase

Overall I am satisfied with the products I received. However the company should be more upfront about their promotions and clear when the products will be delivered as it is very misleading. Took nearly a month to receive all the items.

It took way longer to ship

It took way longer to ship than they said it would. They said it would take 4 to 6 business days. I believe it took almost 3 weeks but I’m using the computer now and it is a great computer. I’m happy with the product I got I just wish the shipping was better. They also didn’t really communicate with me at all in between when I bought it and when I got it is basically three weeks of absolutely nothing me knowing absolutely nothing about my PC and when it’s gonna come then all of a sudden they tell me it’s coming and then it’s on my doorstep. I would like a little bit more information in between just for a little reinsurance everything is going well with my purchase.

Product is fine, Service is not

I can't say they didn't deliver the product. They did. My biggest issue by far is the lack of transparency about the full processing of the order.

My order was originaly slated to arrived 3-4days after payement. It didn't. I had to contact them asking why I didn't have updates of the order. They had to confirm the order was getting built... 5 days after payement and 1-2 days after estimated delivery.

The following week I had recieved an e-mail containing details about shipping which was still not shipped. Alongside it was a UPS tracking label which was never updated nor delievered by them.

1 week later, without prior warning the order arrived in the morning without notice with tracking that was very unprecise.

Shipping was a very frustrating process arriving 14-15 days after initial estimation. I tried contacting them a second time right before arrival to no avail.

Communication with them is very hard and difficult. While I have no issues with the product itself. The specs are fine, it's put together well. I still have yet to recieved a digital code for them for Xbox game pass. It was included in the order ticket and they still didn't respond or notice me of the code.

If you decide to buy from here be warned.
It will be late,
You will have issues having a clear picture of where your PC is in the process,
You may not have a clear and direct line of communication with them

The computer is great

The computer was good, they took almost 3 weeks to ship it though and didn't include my keyboard and mouse. They said they're shipping it later so we'll see. They need to get their act together if they want to grow and have good reviews.

Edit: I increased my rating as they did ship a keyboard and mouse, even though it wasn't the one they said I would get. They refunded me $50 for that along with the shipping delay, and $15 for not including an xbox pass.

Like I said before, my computer is fantastic and I got a great deal on it through them. I would recommend this company and buy from them again. If they get their shipping speeds and other stuff sorted they'll be the best computer company for prebuilds in the country.

Would Recommend

Ordered a PC from these guys. The shipping times were a bit off. But that is ok. I received my PC and everything was good. I am purchasing a second PC from them and looks like they are improving there services. If you order a PC from them and takes a bit of time. Don't worry like I did. You will get your PC.

Bad service and missing paid components

I am disapointed the computer works well but the service is horrible impossible to reach anyone email text or phone plus i have paid for an craken 280lcd cooler and that was not installed and they have not sent the wifi and bluetooth antenna so i have no bluetooth or wifi and all the spare ssd cables that came with the motherboard and no one calls back bad service

Avoid this company at all costs!

We purchased a computer for our business—one of our biggest expenses—only to run into serious issues during a CRA audit. CGC charged us HST but failed to provide an HST number, which is required for our tax records.

Despite multiple attempts to contact them via phone and email, we have received no response. Calls go straight to voicemail, and our emails remain unanswered. We now have until February 7th to provide this information, or we risk losing out on over $600 in tax claims.

It is not legal to charge HST without providing an HST number, and if this matter is not resolved promptly, we will be reporting them to the appropriate authorities. This experience has been incredibly frustrating, and I strongly recommend avoiding this company.

No customer service, Order was shipped incomplete

I used their blackfriday sale to buy a new pc for myself. The shipment was late. When I opened the box to see the pc, whoever put the "protective inflate* in the pc to secure it obviously didn't do i properly. There is a metal part that is bent. The PC works... but there shouldn't be any damages. On the blackfriday deal it said it came with a free monitor. That never arrived. I have left more than 4 voicemails, tried to contact their email, wrote a ticket on their website, tried to reach them through their chat bot and there has been absolutely zero response. I received the PC over a week ago and still no monitor OR EVEN A RESPONSE TO LET ME KNOW IF IT IS EVEN COMING.

Watch out for the 4% restock fee if you…

Watch out for the 4% restock fee if you cancel the order, but better than paying 6% plus being responsible for shipping the PC back. Site says they only use brand names but peripherals bottom of the bin amazon $5 parts (rii?). Lots of issues with shipping from previous reviews, took multiple calls and emails to get a hold of someone to cancel. I'm sure they are nice but the whole experience set off alarms and was not comfortable going forward with the purchase

The computer was a week late

The computer was a week late, did not receive the free gift and board drivers were not installed or easily installable, I had to download them to another computer and copy them via usb stick. The picture was also missleading, I was expecting water cooled, it's not. Support were helpful at getting me the link for the drivers
