The motorhome was well equipped, it was all very clean. It was all there was what you need. The bed was very pleasant. Everything worked well.
A bit annoying was the smoke detector, which immediately started with every use of the toaster.
It was also a pity that the awning could not be used.
What we missed were a few hooks in the RV for jackets and the like.
Otherwise, everything was very straightforward. Starting from the booking via CU Camper, the friendly reception in Vancouver, the takeover of the motorhome and the good instruction, for us even in German and also the return everything was without any problems, as well as the order of the taxi to departure.
Thank you and we will definitely recommend Canadream,
With kind regards Family Suess

We recently completed an awesome 36 night 4500km adventure from Vancouver to Vancouver Island, Whistler, Yoho, Jasper, Banff and returning via the Crows Nest Highway to Vancouver in a MH-A Maxi. We were apprehensive booking with THL after a really nasty experience renting from THL in our home country NZ a couple of years ago, but we were pleased to have different experience with Candream, with a fast, efficient check out. The RV was approx 2 years old, was clean, and appeared well maintained. We managed to stop a lot of the noise coming from the crockery and kitchenware banging and crashing around via padding with paper towels and wonder with their experience why Candream havn't come up with better way of storing these items? Crockery was sitting in a long overhead cupboard and freedom to crash from one end to the other. Had a couple of issues at day 21 of our hire travelling along the Icefield Parkway. First issue, the windscreen wipers appeared to be past "use by" date, would not clear the windscreen and were not fit for purpose. The passenger side wiper blade was coming off completely. I managed to refit it several times later during the trip. I reported this on return and was told I should have replaced them myself, kept the receipt and claimed the money back. I found this an arrogant response putting the responsibility on us. The wipers should have been in perfect warrantable condition on collection and capable of surviving our long rental period! On night 21 we stayed off grid at the Colombia Icefield, a very cold, windy night with snow flurries. We were careful with our electrical usage, especially heating, setting the furnace at 22degrees. We watched the voltage drop as soon as we set up for the night. Hitting 10.2 by the next morning we waited to start the generator at the allowed time only to find we could not start the RV to start the generator. Following the instruction book and several attempts using the emergency start button, the RV still would not start. We phoned Canadream for assistance. While talking to the rep I decided to turn off the house battery and try the emergency start again and bingo we got the RV started. The house battery was simply not capable of sustaining the RV. Was it faulty? Should we have done something differently? We decided the system was unreliable and were careful to ensure that we only stayed at serviced sites from then on. When reported this at drop off! No one was interested! We reported an alarm going off randomly in the RV. We did not know what it was for (it was not the smoke alarm and assumed it must have been for gas) and the only way to stop it was turn the house battery off and on. Again, when reported on drop off no one was interested! In Banff during heavy rain there was a leak, water running from the window to the floor, in the bedroom. When reported on drop off no one was interested! Six days before drop off on a Saturday night we lost water supply to the kitchen sink. We phoned Canadream at approx 7.00pm. The Canadream agent could not help, and he concluded it was after hours. We said we would monitor the situation. After bucketing water from the shower to use in the kitchen we phoned Candream on Monday. This time a response to remove the nozzle on the end of the faucet due to a potential blockage and we finally got water back! After our initial call on Saturday night, why no courtesy call from Canadream before we had to call them again on Mon morning? Why did we have to chase them? In all we had a great time and managed the Canadream issues. Would we rent from them again? Probably but we feel Candream can still do better and have room for improvement. We fully realise that problems will arise, but a couple of our issues should not have even been there. We were surprised at the lack of interest in the issues we identified at drop off and suspect the problems will be passed onto the next renter. (At drop off we noted another customer at the counter who had house battery issues and wondered if this was a common issue for some units). It is very easy for Canadream to say report the issues, have the vehicle checked out, procure replacements yourself, etc, however some issues are preventable if fully compliant and capable vehicles are supplied and reported issues are listened to, taken seriously and not passed onto the next customer. Canadream need to make changes to remove the inconvenience their customers encounter and are paying for.

The RV was fantastic. Exactly as described. Pick-up and drop off by appointment kept my waiting time to a minimum. The bedding package was good. The kitchen package was complete and useful.

The whole experience from dealing with friendly staff to the journey itself, Canada is one amazing country and an RV and the most amazing parks must be the best way to see it

We had an AMAZING experience with CanaDream! We drove from Vancouver, across Canada to Halifax, and back again. An absolute trip of a lifetime.
Pick up and drop off were so painless and easy, the RV we rented was in tip-top shape, and we are ABSOLUTELY coming back again!
The staff at Vancouver (DELTA) location were amazing!

We rented our RV in Vancouver and travelled to Calgary and back. It was our first time through the Rockies and it was breathtaking. We had no problems with the RV and the generator made sure we could camp anywhere and still have full use of the a/c and oven. It came in handy several times when serviced lots were not available making everything stress free. We can’t wait for our next RV adventure. Picking up and dropping off the RV was effortless and the staff were so accommodating and friendly. During our travels we spoke to people who were renting from other RV companies. They spoke of issues with their RV and their camper did not compare in quality as our Canadream. I would recommend Canadream to anyone.

They did not supply road side assistance when we were locked out of the vehicle. It was midnight and very cold and the service who handles the 24 hour emergency assistance was not able to get anyone at Canadream to respond to her call. We were lucky that we have BCAA coverage and they were able to come and help us. We were very frustrated that Canadream did not live up to their commitment to supply 24 hour assistance.

The convenience of a camper made our 3 month hire so easy. Canadreams gave us a well equipped vehicle with all the bells and whistles, heaps of room for storing our ski gear in the back too. The shower was surprisingly good for a 6ft guy and a full fridge/freezer was a bonus. The service before and while on tour was outstanding. It’s what I call SERVICE. Thanks for making it a forever positive experience, fully recommend canadreams, THANKYOU

Great campers and all went well. Took quite a long time before we could drive when collecting the camper. But the delivery process went very smooth, also because we chose for the Drop and Go option.

Pickup was pretty seamless, Daria was amazing, so cheerful and knowledgable. Trip was uneventful. Return was again pretty seamless. Worth mentioning, There were a couple of minor issues, which did not impact our trip. Your team did what I frequently see in the retail and service industries - ask if everything was OK, when I say no, there was a minor issue with connecting to the Bluetooth, they briefly acknowledged it, but there was no action. Home Depot cashiers are renowned for asking if you found everything you were looking for today, and when you say No, the smile and say Have a good day. But our experience and value were really 5 star all the way.

This is the second time we’ve hired an RV from Canadream . The first two years ago and everything was perfect . This time round was again a good experience but we found a few things let it down .
To start the pillows were unusable . They were like bit of material just thrown into a pillow bag. This was really not good as we had three weeks in this RV and had to make our own up with our down jackets and I suffer with a bad neck anyway . The frying pan on the first night when I went to grab it on the gas heater completely burned my hand and I had to apply cold water and cream and had a few blisters come up . This should have been mentioned before hand because if a child had touched it , it could have been an even worse incident. It was such a cheap pan and the pan didn’t get hot quickly but the handle scolding hot quickly .The roof bolts came undone on the air vent going down the highway and was flapping everywhere and I had to replace them at the first campsite . If the air vent guard had come off completely it would have hit another car and could have caused an accident . The mirror in the bathroom was only good to see in if you were 5ft 7 or taller , for me not a problem but my wife is 5ft 3 and couldn’t use it and there was no other mirror inside the camper . Little things that could help , nets on front of fridge or ledges to stop drinks and food flying everywhere . A bin inside would be good. Not all the charging points worked and the ones in the bedroom not at all . The chairs you are given but have to hire are extremely small and I had to buy two adult size ones myself .
The holiday was fantastic and no issues with the drive of the vehicle or mechanical side .
Myself I made a huge mistake on my map and went 15 hours in wrong direction which was my fault as I originally had a slightly different root plan but changed it and forgot to change it on my satnav planner BUT I was expecting to get an extra bill of over £400 for the extra km . Like I said that was my fault but thought there could be a bit of leeway in the price specially with the things that I’ve mentioned in the above that were not adequate.
I did express everything in the above when dropping off the RV and didn’t get much sympathy and was told an Australian company had bought them out and the quality of the interior furnishings were not as good anymore . They did say I had to put this all in writing to you .
Like I said earlier we still had a great holiday and overall experience was good and I would use Canadream again but I would also contact your competitor’s and compare next time around .
Aaron

We had a really nice vacation using their motorhome for almost 20 days travelling all around BC. The motorhome was almost new and everything worked great. Our unit was in very good condition. We had to purchase a toaster and an axe along the way as they were not supplied. The fridge was big with a nice big freezer! I was pleasantly surprised and happy about that :) Service and pickup/drop-off was efficient. I would recommend Canadream.

The contract was at a fair price. The Camper Van was reliable and adequately equipped. The information before departure was a bit chaotic. I would have liked it better if i could choose a smaller CV, as i did not have any experience driving such a big vehicle and the cost of petrol was high. There was third party damage on the vehicle and the procedure is still running. How it is handled by your company will also affect my experience.

This is our second time renting from CanaDream and third time renting a camper van for a road trip, so we know a bit about camper vans that I can tell you we were quite disappointed with the quality and service with this camper van. Supplies was inadequately prepared, with items missing from their list. The interior of the camper was quite poorly maintained (dented fridge, cracked dashboard and windshield). Also, the the floorboard was dusty with the previous renters' snack bits and hair (!!!) when we first got the van. The driving of the car also had quite a few issues; numerous times it had a faulty tire sensory signal (can't detect front right tire pressure), back up cameras not reverting to Driving mode and reverse sensor stopped working properly at one point, in addition, the hand brake needed to be pushed and lifted at a certain angle. If everything happened on its own, it wouldn't have been much of a problem. BUT when they ALL happened on the same trip within a few days, that was rather stressful, when all we wanted to do was to have a little relaxing getaway.

The reception was great, but we were disapointed that the frontchairs didn"t turn and that the sunscreen was blocked with tiewraps.
We expected that those items would work, so there's more comfort when you have a rainy day.
