Unable to use electricity because of wrong adaptor. “No lady” minimized in an insulting way as well. No consideration for compensation. Sat in a serviced lot all week u able to use it. Burned through tanks of propane & gas to run generator for heat. Thing was returned hardly used. “No lady” clearly has a major role. This was an important family trip for significant personal reasons of loss. We made the best of it. Unable to find an adapter where we were as well. Definitely felt insulted by this organization. Veteran support was null as well. Regrets

Customer service was great. The RV was in fairly good shape and everything worked well.

The RV was perfect. Had so much fun exploring BC. Was so surprised how well insulated the van was and how well it kept its warmth over night. Easy to drive, very comfortable. Everything was perfect, and can’t wait to book it in again.

The collection process was good, although the information given about the processes to deal with cold temperatures was inaccurate and required 2 follow-up emails to other support staff to clarify.
The emergency call centre was very helpful when needed.
Just a note of caution to foreigners renting (customers with a credit card in a currency other than CAD). The security deposit is an actual charge on your credit card, NOT a hold. If there is no damage at the end of the rental, there is a full refund in CAD. However, these 2 transactions will be processed at the buying and selling spot rate of your credit card provider. You will almost certainly get back less than the deposit originally charged in your local currency. I lost 8.5% of my deposit due to this issue.

Overall, we had an fantastic experience during the hire of our camper from Canadream, we did 2 weeks covering 3800km.
The van was more than enough for the two of us, it came with a bunch of road safety features, drove smoothly and managed well during nights at sites with no power or water hook ups.
The only problem we had was we couldn't get android auto to work on the big screen, we went back to Canadream the following day and although the couldn't get it working they did provide a mobile phone mount which was great customer service.
We are looking to return to Canada again in 2027 and use Canadream again.

We rented CanaDream’s "winter-ready" Maxi Motorhome (MHA) for a trip through Northern BC and Yukon, trusting it would handle sub-zero conditions with the promised comfort. Instead, we faced a non-functional furnace and poor insulation for 14 days, leaving us with overnight internal temperatures of 4°C despite following all precautions. CanaDream’s response was slow, reactive, and lacked transparency:
· Broken promises: the MHA is marketed as fully equipped for winter travel, yet critical winterization items were missing, and the furnace failed early in our trip. Troubleshooting attempts were ineffective, and we had to proactively push for solutions, including requesting a technician call ourselves. Despite paying extra for the northern regions, support remained evasive.
· Poor communication: we were never informed of efforts to find repair providers or resolve issues in real-time. Instead, we learned of these attempts only after escalating our concerns, leaving us questioning whether they were made at all.
· Lack of accountability: reimbursement for necessary purchases (like space heaters) was only discussed after we insisted, and we were left to source missing items ourselves, with no guidance. The compensation offer felt ridiculous given the disruption, safety risks, inconvenience we experienced, and especially as the contract was not fulfilled.
· Unresolved questions: CanaDream’s responses were AI-generated and often contradicted their own earlier statements, leaving us feeling ignored and undervalued.
While the eventual unit exchange resolved the furnace issue and missing gear, the experience was marred by poor customer service, lack of proactive support, and a failure to take responsibility.

Our experience with this RV hire company was terrible from start to finish. Customer service was already poor before we even collected the vehicle. We were told snow chains would be provided, only to be informed at pickup that we would need to buy our own and “possibly” be reimbursed later.
Check-in staff were unhelpful and hostile, and the mechanic clearly had no proper knowledge of the tire conditions—we were given inaccurate information that made us question the safety of the vehicle.
Before drop-off, I enquired about their own “drop and go” cleaning package, and the agent had absolutely no idea what services they even offered. I was then transferred to another agent who was equally clueless—he couldn’t recommend a single RV cleaning service nearby and literally told me to “just Google it.” For a company that supposedly offers this service, the level of unprofessionalism was shocking.
Dropping the RV off was no better. The agent was rude, dismissive, and the entire return process was painfully slow. I was advised after an inspection that the vehicle had passed but the gas level wasn't quite the same. With no problem at all, I refueled over the amount when collected but was told I had to wait for another inspection even when I was explicitly told it did not need another inspection. There was clearly no communication between colleagues thus making it a very frustrating experience.
Overall, the customer service was consistently unprofessional and frustrating. I would NOT recommend this company.

We rented an RV in Vancouver to spend our 10 day honeymoon on Vancouver Island.
Pros. The RV was clean, it had everything we needed, the pick up process was smooth, we were provided with a troubleshooting guide, customer service was great. The time spent in the RV was fantastic.
Cons. The drop off process was a disaster. The return inspection revealed damage to the cap on the side awning. We have no recollection of hitting anything (tree branch or something innocuous we assume). Canadream charged us over $2600 to replace the entire awning even though it was only the side cap the was damaged. They also charged us $750 to fumigate the unit, claiming there was a strong smoke smell, even though we never smoked inside the RV. They wouldn't listen. The manager refused to speak to us and we had a plane to catch so we didn't have time to insist they proove the actual awning was damaged or that the smell couldn't be removed by simply replacing the linens and opening some windows.
The vacation was incredible and we refuse to let anything ruin that, but the return process left us feeling ripped off, defrauded and very upset.

Really nice late model f350
well set up camper!
the F350 was sitting down in the back end so badly that we couldn't drive at as it made the "low beams" apear like "high beams" to other drivers, causing us to get flashed constantly.
we also lost a day of our trip due to having to go back to Canadream and have our battery replaced but were still charged for the lost day.
lastly but definitely something to consider. When picking up the camper one of the team at Canadream did a survey of vehicle condition. I pointed out a scratch on the window and he said it didnt need to be declared as it was minor. luckily I decided to take photos and a video of the whole camper as he did his survey. When we returned to drop the camper off they asked me what happened. if it wasn't for the photographic evidence i had i would have been charged for repairs.
Despite these frustrations,
we did have a really fantastic trip and would recommend seeing Canada / USA this way

It was our first time renting out an Rv and turned out to be the most beautiful memory of lifetime. Canadream team was helpful throughout our journey. They explained everything clearly before we start and the RV was clean and comfortable. We will continue booking with Canadream in the future and highly recommended for your vacations.

We are from Germany and traveled to Canada as a family with two children for the first time. We had an unforgettable journey from Calgary to Vancouver. It was absolutely wonderful — the MHX motorhome was a dream, and the service we received for a defective starter battery was excellent. We can wholeheartedly recommend CanaDream. It was a truly unforgettable vacation.

No issues at all.
Good serviced,
Camper full equipped and everything worked.

We had a fantastic RV holiday, made possible by the team at Canadream. The pickup was very smooth, with enough of a familiarisation to get us on our way. The RV itself was great, with plenty of room for our large family. It worked perfectly for the duration of our holiday and we had no issues.
At drop off time, again, it was very smooth and we were away very quickly.
In future, I wouldn’t bother booking the WiFi dongle. The connection was very slow and we barely used it
