Great experience pre and post-survey. The survey was promptly carried out with a detailed breakdown. I received helpful post-survey assistance and got all concerns addressed quickly. I enjoyed their service and would definitely recommend them.

Fantastic surveyors!!! The report was extremely detailed and pointed out concerns we would not have spotted. Also a big thank you to Tina in reports for advising me on next steps, offering guidance and being a really great support. As a first time buyer they are fabulous!

From start to finish it was a smooth and timely process.
Natalie was always very reactive to emails and followed up quickly on any queries. The quality of the survey was very good and thorough.

I am purchasing my first flat in London and I am really glad that have chosen a level 3 building report with C&C. I had the pleasure of speaking with Jan and being from a non building background he was very thorough, explaining to me the concerns about house and recommendations in simple but yet efficient method of fixing them and which trades person to hire. I was quite stressed about the situation but after speaking to Jan, I feel more reassured that I can tackle this by myself. Couldn't be happier with the service and highly recommend Jan. The price of the level 3 report was very reasonable compare to other companies.

Complete waste of money. The company may seem efficient initially, but is truth the document they provide is useless. C and C surveying did not want to hear about the issues they had woefully missed, and the insurance they claim is there is basically non existent, don't be fooled, save your money hire a professional builder, and tradesperson to give their opinion of what potential issues a property may have. Much easier.

I bought a house last year and moved in, in September. I had a RICS home buyers level 2 report done by C and C surveying ltd prior to moving in.

Since moving in I have had a leak from my roof into my bathroom area. I got a roofer to come and investigate the problem and they discovered that there was a big hole in my roof from a missing ridge tile and rainwater has been pouring into a shallow loft space as a result without me knowing (as the insulation in there has been soaking it up).

When I view the report it says the roof is totally fine but now I can see in the pictures they sent me that there is a hole on the roof easily seen from street level - in the same picture of the front of the building you can see my neighbours roof doesn't have this missing tile.

I sent them an email in February to make a complaint about this and sent them the costs I have had to now pay for their mistake (£4000) but they responded to say the company ceased trading in December 2023 and that's it with no solution.

Their response on 28th February was as follows:

Dear Oliver,

Thank you for your email. I can confirm that C & C (London) UK Ltd provided you with your Level 2 survey report on 8th August 2023. Payment was made to C & C (London) UK Ltd and the Terms and Conditions of Engagement which you have signed are provided by C & C (London) UK Ltd. We can confirm C & C (London) UK Ltd ceased trading in December 2023.

I booked my survey through C and C surveying, not C and C (London), I even have emails confirming the survey from them with the same email address as from Tina - there is nothing that mentioned C & C (London) in the emails I had with them when booking this survey, only C and C surveying.

If they are now saying C and C (London) has ceased trading and therefore not their responsibility it feels very strongly that they are shrugging responsibility for a mistake their company has made by saying the London part of their company has ceased trading. Either way this all feels extremely underhand and dodgy. They have asked me to remove this post, I won't until some accountability has been made for the money that I have lost through a badly conducted survey done by their company.

I am now in talks with RICS to try to get to the bottom of what is happening and who is liable. I will also speak to the property ombudsman once I hear back from RICS.

Be very careful when dealing with this company as if they are still operating they have then told me lies, possibly to try to get rid of me

We recently instructed C&C to complete a level 3 RICs survey on a house we are trying to buy. I have to say C&C have been amazing. Their price was very competitive, they booked and completed within a couple of weeks and the report was really thorough. Unfortunately for us the survey showed a whole host of issues and so at request C&C were able to add costings ( at a fee) to help us in our negotiations. In addition the senior surveyor at our request kindly took a significant amount of time on the phone to discuss the issues and give more advice and support.

I pointed them a damp stain on the ceiling of a bathroom and they totally missed there was a leak. I sent them pictures of the damp stain prior to the survey date and all they did was applying a moister meter on the damp stain after it was repainted by the seller and said there was no issue. Recently, the damp stain reappeared (exactly at the same place) and I took myself the initiative to open a vent located 30 cm from the stain and I saw a huge leaking pipe from the roof. I am very disappointed that they did not do this themselves because they would have seen the leak like the nose in the middle of the face. When asked about this, they claimed that they did not open the vent because it would have been a “physical alteration of the property” which is not a valid argument because opening and closing the vent does not make any alteration to the property. Also they refuse to admit they made a mistake here. Very disappointed, to avoid.
Update: thank you for your reply. I am happy that you no longer want to proceed with a legal action against me for this comment and that you wish to continue the discussion to find a resolution to this matter.

Great service, efficient and smooth process for booking and arranging the survey, following the survey a report was sent with 1-2 days, very detailed and comprehensive, clear and easy to understand. This was followed up a phone call with the surveyor to go over some specific aspects of the survey, very helpful and would recommend this company.
