Review of forms needed.

One of the forms was asking whether I was a US citizen which I didn't see. It was assumed that I wasn't since I didn't answer the question. I had to call and a ticket was issued to resolve. If it was an important question then it should have been a hard stop on the original page until it was answered. Further along there was a replacement form to be filled out. It was slanted to the point that the only choice you had was to replace the original annuity. That wasn't what I needed as I only wanted a free withdrawal, not a replacement.

My annuity matured and I decided to…

My annuity matured and I decided to keep it simple and fund 2 annuities from the one Canavs annuity that matured. Same company so you would think this would be simple and quick. Not really. Takes longer than it should in my opinion.

I had trouble with the online application

I had trouble with the online application, mostly the verification process. I don't have a smart phone, so don't receive texts. I called & got help and was eventually able to submit the application. Your agent was very helpful.

I am a customer of Canvas Annuities

I am a customer of Canvas Annuities. I have 2 accounts with them. I have three friends that have accounts with them. The initial drawing card that brought them to my attention was the higher interest rate they were paying, plus a very good rating by AM Best. And that's because they do not pay agents to get them contracts/customers, ergo no commissions, higher rates paid to customers. So now that I have an account, what is important to me is being able to get online into my portal and seeing my account grow whenever I want. In my portal I can see all of my incoming and outgoing communications history as well as set my beneficiaries; gain access to forms that can be filled out without printing and sent to Canvas all in one session. Plus my contract is imbedded inside my portal. And RMD's are a snap with them. All of this is great. But the most important thing after all of the above is CUSTOMER SERVICE. I can easily reach them Monday through Friday with very little wait time. They are knowledgeable and thorough and quick to resolve an issue, if there is one. Which brings me to this......They have an agent named Jon V. I had a need to withdraw some money and send to another institution to pay a bill. And it had to be done quickly or else. I told this to Jon, he listened and then personally went out of his way and went the extra mile to expedite that check being cut and most importantly delivered ahead of time to the end receiver. He provided the Fed Ex tracking number as well for my peace of mind. He himself followed up on every step of the way. Now that's what I call service.

STAY AWAY!!.1

STAY AWAY!!.1. the application looks like old paperwork out of the trash from a 1950's company that went out of business. 2. The application had no mention of rates ,legal items or anything. 3. After you are APPROVED, you are suppose to grant complete access to your funds post haste!! 4. The agent they picked to handle my $500000 policy must not have made enough commission to answer my questions and respond to the question. All I got was the brochure, canned no response responses. This is either a scam or the worse customer service I ever saw, if not I wouldn't give this company $.10.
