The assessment of my old refrigerator was a good help in my decision whether to fix it or to buy a new one.

I called for an appointment to look at our wine fridge that had not been working (not cooling). The technician arrived promptly at 9am and investigated the problem.
He outlined the costs and the procedure to correct the problem, however suggested that it wasn't worth the $700 to fix a small fridge. He also mentioned a short solution to refill the Freon, but it would leak and only last a few months. Again, he suggested that it's a waste of money to do so.

Although we didn't get any work done on our fridge, I was impressed and thankful that he was honest with his expertise. I would rather pay the service fee for the advice and time, than dump money for a short term solution.

Dishwasher drain hose broke. George from CAR quickly responded and fixed the problem. Fast courteous service with good advice.

Waited 2 weeks for the first appointment, technician was a no show. They implied it was my fault for not confirming. Staff are rude on the phone. They told me they would order the part and send technician in 2 weeks. Technician showed up, no part with him. Had to come back with the part a week later. Got charged for 2 service calls.

I had no choice to put one star when in fact I wanted to leave a no star rating. This company is appalling. The staff are rude and make constant excuses. They don’t listen to the customer and constantly interrupt when trying to explain. I waited for almost 3 weeks for a part, it was installed and the “technician” tested it for 10 seconds and left. First use it didn’t work and I had to call 3 times to get a revisit. The “technician” was not informed of the problem correctly and I was made to feel that was my fault, when in fact I told the receptionist, Innessa, 3 times and had to give her my tel. # 3 times before she got it correct! I was told it would be a week before a second part came in! I ended up calling Dependable who from the initial call to repair took only 4 hours and got my appliance working. They were definitely dependable and reliable. I would never recommend Capital Appliance Repair. Despicable service. I wanted to leave a 2 word comment!!

Viktor texted me to advise he was on his way. He was punctual and professional. The dryer was not drying my clothes, and stopped part-way through the dry cylce. Viktor quickly solved the problem and cleaned out lint from internal area of dryer. He also checked the dryer transition motor and removed and cleaned that as well. He recommended a new motor, and sealing of the lint vent. This is the best service I've had from repair people in a long time. I would definitely call Capital Appliance Repair again for future repair services. This is A+ service.

My refrigerator was not cooling and frost was building up in the freezer. I was given a same day appointment between 3-5. Yuri arrived at 2:50 with parts in hand. Given my description he knew what the problem was. All was repaired and cleaned up in less than an hour. Yuri was professional and efficient. 5 stars!!!!

During covid, our technician arrived with a mask on (thank you) and was personable but didn't waste time getting to business. He inspected our dishwasher and freezer and explained the issues, told us why he knew what the issue was (specific parts that shouldn't make specific noises, etc.) and recommended appropriate actions. In one case our dishwasher parts could take weeks or months to arrive so he recommended we buy another dishwasher. Happy that he didn't try to make money for the company despite leaving us without a dishwasher indefinitely. I trust this company and will call on them again.

Although the technician on time and polite, he was extremely rough in removing old dishwasher and installing new one.
He had difficulty placing the new unit in under the counter and when he had to pull it out again, he did so by using the open door of my new dishwasher!
Very rough installing new hose, pinching the end between the cabinet area and the side of the dishwasher.
Broke the baseboard and 1/4 round.
He swore quite often.
