Very unreliable… worked for a few…

Very unreliable… worked for a few orders. And then doesn’t add any rewards as promised. Reaching for support is a pain and all they say is it takes 30 to 90 days. But nothing happens, they use this excuse to close the cases.

Rakuten is a way better app. They don’t make false claims and reward almost immediately.

I have never had this app

I have never had this app, this morning they emailed me, and blocked me from site over TOS? No one ever reached out to me. The email that was used was hacked over seven years ago, I take issue with a company that just blocks based on an email, and not speaking to the actually person, clue for you, my name is not the name you reached out to.

If I could leave 0 stars I would

If I could leave 0 stars I would. There rewards is promos are scams just to get you to download the app. You reach out to them they verify everything is correct and ok and that the rewards promo will or could take 30 days to clear. Then in 30 days they start with excuses and false reasons why you’ve been denied.

Received an offer for $45 once I…

Received an offer for $45 once I downloaded the shipping app and add capital one shopping to my safari. I waited 30 days and after I never received the offer I called. The phone rep found my account and where I signed up but said I had to email for assistance. I emailed and the first rep said she can’t honor it because she can’t find an account under my email. Remember the phone rep found my account immediately. When I sent screenshots of my account, showing my email, she changed it and said well sorry I can’t help you and we can’t give you the credit. I immediately asked for a supervisor, because how do you say I don’t have an account and when I show you that along with proof of purchases from the account, you still say I don’t qualify. The supervisor responded a short moment later and buckled down on the decision. I advised that this was the true definition of bait and switch and I would be filing a complaint. Through research I found that they have done this to numerous others. Pull customers I with an offer. Email follow up with a complete different offer and upon customers fulfilling the obligations, say they aren’t eligible or make up something else. After they could not use the can’t find your account scheme, they just said no we aren’t changing it or assisting and this is final. I’ve seen multiple law suits against them for similar dishonest practices. I’m seeking guidance on which company to file this with. They need to be stopped. They are benefiting off of customers downloading the app and extension and even shopping and not giving what they promised.

Do not always give % back as advertised

After I have followed their links for percentage back several times. Many times the purchases do no show up however in the past they were good about adjusting them later as I save screen shots of the activation and purchases. They say they will no longer do this in the future.
Also some purchases say ineligible when I have followed all of their guidelines.
It's difficult making informed decisions on purchases when they to not follow through of their end.

Shipping and billing without permission'

Looked at a product on the extension didn't order but product was shipped and charged to my credit card. If you place an order they store your credit card # and if you check pricing will ship even without ordering.

Total RIPOFF-I would give less than 1 star if…

I would give less than 1 star if possible. Total Ripoff deal. Misleading offers that take you to deals that do NOT exist, or after you already purchased the same item, then you get an offer for a savings deal too late. When you try to log into your Capital One shopping site to get customer support, it's and endless loop of black holes. I never did find a link tab to get help. I am not sure how to cancel the web extension and the whole gig, but take my advice and run away from this Capital One Two Three step dance

Don't give the bonus rewards promised despite following terms of service Exactly to what is specified, and often time do not receive rewards points unless you reach out via email with screenshots of the receipt, and even then sometimes they will say you are not eligible, and getting commission from the stores they partnered with.

Capital One Shopping discriminates…

Capital One Shopping discriminates against Android phone users. I purchase things and get a notification that I can receive $25 credit if I am an Iphone user. I am an Android user and if they can't come up with an equal program for the many Android users who use their platform, they are discriminating against a large group of people.

100% SCAM

100% SCAM - capital one shopping, capital one offers. Both are scam. I spent 1 hr 30 mins trying to get a rebate on multiple offers with clear correlation between when it was clicked and the purchase via card! Also they will not honor links used on NONE capital one cards - even though their policy says other wise. Uninstall do not use this tool nor click on the offers ever again. Better options through AMEX and CHASE only! This is 100% a scam to steal your personal information.

Not honoring offers - should have a class action suit

I get constant links for cash back for sites like instacart - 25%, 31.5%, 54.5% off so I use it and learned my lesson in the beginning when I didn't get my reward so now with each link I take a screenshot and then also of the activation on the website and then send in to customer support and after a few emails in I got my cash back but now I am getting these responses that I had a return or items were excluded when there is none of this information with the email or the activation which lists all items excluded - none of which I have ever purchased like alcohol. They are not honoring their promotions at all and you can't speak to someone regarding this. This should be illegal. I have thousands I should have received in rewards.

Scam....Class action suit should be coming.
I have made several purchases...after logging in to see the account activity, only 1 ever showed...contacted support and they said it generally takes at least 60-90 days for anything to go through....contacted again after 90 days and was told I must have done something wrong, because they can't verify the purchases, even though I sent them receipts.

Blame is placed on me for not doing it right....I guess I don't know how to click on links correctly....BS

Capital One Shopping is a scam

Capital One Shopping is a scam. I’ve made so many purchases with merchants using capital one link but only received one payout once. Called customer support and found out something about their system not recognizing the transactions and I have to call them back after 3 billing cycles for any manual adjustments. No thanks. I’ll be using Rakuten instead.

Scam Scam Scam

Added the extension for $45 savings. Selected a giftcard to redeem. When brought to another site to "release card details" it won't accept the security code so I can't access the giftcard details. After reading other reviews not really sure how capital one is still allowing this to go on.

Capital one shopping is a huge scam

Capital one shopping is a huge scam I had a few hundred in rewards from multiple purchases and they locked my account and terminated it saying
A user attempted to obtain referral-based Shopping Rewards based on creation of duplicate accounts, fraud, or through other impermissible means outlined in our terms of service
A user used Capital One Shopping in a manner consistent with the reselling of goods or services
A user attempted to redeem Shopping Rewards for which they were not eligible
A user engaged in other impermissible activity outlined in our terms of service

I only have the 1 account I did signup through a referral i wasn’t reselling anything and I don’t know what I did that goes against there terms
Don’t be lured into offers they have like Ollie dog food when you join the service you get $191.50 back but since I have a small yorkie the food isn’t nearly close to that much or 25% back at chewy.com or 30% back at Skechers 48% back at Instacart 70% back on GoPuff etc

Yikes! Where are my REWARDS as advertised.

Generally, I have had a good experience, but there are companies that participate in the Capital One Rewards program that do not help in recording purchases. This is a real pain that I have to shake the tree to get reimbursed. Lululemon, Lole and the Warming Store are examples...Capital One's customer service provides generic responses if you question the rewards payout...There is a great deal of room for improvement in Capital One customer service education and response to their customers. I just found out through The WarmingStore that the companies that are promoted through Capital One Shopping have NO control over reward payouts...think about that for a moment, Capital One Shopping is literally choosing who gets rewarded and who doesn't at their discretion, even though the customer follows the promotion rules in their emails. SCAM ALERT!!! buyer beware!!!!
