I had fraud on my account for $200.00

I had fraud on my account for $200.00. I had been saving for something special. Someone was able to access my account and buy a card for sephora. I notified Capital one shopping upon seeing it, an hour later. I received no notification. It was just by accident that I happened to sign in so soon after the fraud. There's no customer service number, you have to email. I received an email saying they would do a one time credit. Immediately they took it again. I didn't even have time to use it. I think it's internal. They gave me the information to contact Tango, who distributes the cards. They checked and said it was clear I had not purchased the card because it didn't bear my email or any of my other information. I had changed my password just in case and it was in Norton vault. No one got my password. I asked for their help setting up another account and transferring any new rewards to it. They said to read the agreement, it wasn't their problem. They acknowledged there was fraud on the account but refused to help. Capital one is a reputable company. I can't understand how they would condone this. The fraud is coming from their end and they refuse to do anything about it. We have three credit cards that our payments go through capital one. We are planning to cancel our accounts. They should provide better security. I have norton and lifelock. This is ridiculous. I have gone back to Rakuten.

How can the software/company be legal

How can the software/company be legal. They send you an email for an item you want to purchase promising rewards, you click on, it takes you to the item to purchase, clearly tells you the reward is activated, you purchase the item because of the rewards and then its like it NEVER happened OR months later it tells you the item was ineligible. What? people are buying things because of the reward only to find out after the purchase that they can't get the reward? If their plugin prior to purchasing something displays the reward percent and it says active, how can they deny the reward weeks later. About 10% of the time it works. How is this legally allowed? It like playing russian roulette as to whether you get the reward or not even when they tell you you are getting it

I have spent thousands of dollars…

I have spent thousands of dollars through capital one shopping for hotel stays over the last couple months and I only received one rewards from dozens. The rest are unprocessed or say ineligible. The customer service is no help and are very general with their answers not even looking into specifics of the account and order. Do not waste your time on this awful shopping browser as they don’t pay out rewards that they say. Find another service.

Capital One isn’t honoring Bed Bath & Beyond ecard

When Overstock.com bought Bed Bath & Beyond they quite honoring ecards, discounts, etc. I just learned this yesterday when trying to use my $50 ecard through Capital One. And now, today, have learned that Capital One won’t honor that $50 and let me move it to another card. Poor corporate policy and poor customer service.

Sorry to say

Sorry to say, Capital One Shopping missed this time. I was ordering a set of four spark plugs, and the Capital One Shopping window popped up, suggesting I could save $5 by shopping on another website. I took the bait, ordered, then found out when the box arrived that I paid $23 for a single spark plug instead of a set of 4!

Frauds

They always promote a 25$ reward promotion and never grant it to your account. I've qualified for this promotion multiple by following their provided instructions and both times it never appeared in my account. This is a completely fraudulent and misleading business practice. Do not use them.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SUPPORT

Capital One Shopping has virtually no security. And when accounts are breached, they take no responsibility, and will refuse to assist in regaining lost funds or rewards due to data breaches. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!

I had my account hacked, and all the rewards taken from the account and a request to shut down the account. Customer Support claims email verifications are sent for reward redemption, which I never received, nor did I receive an email verification to have the account shut down. Now Customer Support is completely unwilling to do anything about, stating they are not liable. This ranks at the top of the most terrible customer support I've ever had to deal with. Extremely slow response times, robotic responses at best, and complete lack of care, sympathy, or decency. I requested logs of the usage of the account, and their claim is because the account was closed, they cannot provide records of the account, and its usage. Very poor to no data retention.

Total scam

Total scam. To qualify for rewards, purchases must be made using a supported browser with the CapitalOne Shopping extension installed. Yet despite carefully ensuring that all criteria are duly met, many purchases are erroneously deemed "ineligible" and with no explanation whatsoever. Their customer support is also a complete joke. After reaching out for assistance, they were unable (or maybe just unwilling) to provide any explanation on every occasion that rewards for qualifying purchases were denied. It's appalling when these large corporations advertise these promotions, make you jump through hoops to earn a pittance of a reward, then randomly deny the promised rewards to mitigate their responsibility.

Works sometimes. Don't fall for the "well deserved" extra cashback offers.

Update: Back to square one. Shopping trips are not getting registered especially for the "well deserved" extra cashback offers. Emails to customer service asking for status takes forever to receive any response. Had to cancel orders that I would normally not purchase unless it was a good discount and cashback.

Original: Usually, the cashback trips are recorded correctly, and you receive the cashback automatically. For the few times when the cashback trip is not recorded and you have to get in touch with support via email, it will take several follow ups and several days to get a response and resolution. However, the customer support team do resolve the issues. I guess they don't have a very big team to manage all support requests. The current team is very thorough and do take care of support issues even if takes more time that what a customer would expect.

I feel that capital one shopping is a scam

I feel that capital one shopping is a fraud. None of the codes ever work. Then it was noted that I have $40 that I can redeem. They verified my email but needed to verify my phone number. When I put my phone number in it says it's already in use??? Where is customer service?? no where to be find, there is literally no one to contact

I can't give zero so I'll give 1

I can't give zero so I'll give 1. I have been saving on there for years and have over $500 in my account... allegedly! I say allegedly because I can not verify my email address. Have tried everything and even contacted my email host company. Capital One has been of zero help and says I'll have to get a new account and lose the over $500. What kind of company is this!? HORRIBLE! I am extremely unhappy with their customer "service."
