Absolutely a waste of money and scam. All you get is scammer emails and texts. I can't believe they are not shut down by the ACCC. Absolutely disgusting

I hadnt received any messages or expressions of interest from my caravan listing so far. I feel that Caravan Sales may not have the same level of exposure or recognition as Car Sales.

Facebook Marketplace is free to use and also offers paid advertising options to increase a listing's reach. Given the lack of enquiries, I would be more inclined to use Caravan Sales in the future if they were structured the same.

After I reduced the price on both sites, Facebook marketplace had 12 enquiries and sold successfully, caravan sales 0
At this stage, the value proposition compared to other platforms doesn't appear as strong, particularly when considering the cost of listing versus the level of engagement received.

I could not even advertise my van with the correct details as they simply weren't available to choose in drop downs and caravanandcampingsales refused to get their IT team to fix the issue in their system. I spent hours on the phone and sending emails trying to get some action and simply got nowhere!.... On top of that there was extremely poor performance from the ad itself other than 2 enquiries and 3 spammers! .... Every time I sent an email asking for something to be corrected in the ad it was as though it was totally ignored on purpose.
On top of that the ad was very expensive!
Overall, we were not happy with the service at all which is very disappointing as I've used them many times for years but it won't be happening again I'm afraid 😞

Caravancamping store…totally incompetent company who are happy to accept payment for goods but run for the hills when you have an issue by blaming their suppliers…who they can never contact. Extremely frustrating to deal with and trust me it won’t happen again.

Enquiries are more genuine and more likely to lead to a sale than marketplace. Pity you don't offer a method of paying, Carsales does.

I didn't receive any enquiries from caravan sales. I received twelve enquiries and three offers from Facebook marketplace.
Unfortunately caravan sales isn't worth the money.

Paid for the premium and couldn't get any hits and then you guys ask for more money to renew some crap. And then no help at all with anything. It was just a waste of money honestly. You guys make money for doing nothing. I would give 0 stars but there is no button for that.

We felt secure advertising here, & felt that genuine buyers would come to this site to search.
We had an enquiry the 2nd day, Just what they were looking for, & travelled from interstate to test drive. Paid a deposit up front, the rest over a few days. Returning within the week to collect the van.
It was also good to have the allocated number for buyers to phone instead of our private mobile.

Caravan was sold in a week. We're very happy with the results.

It was easy to post an ad and update or edit. I had a few genuine buyers and sold our van within 3 months of listing. The only negative thing I could say is that I had 3 scammers contact me early in my listing. If they could be weeded out my review would be 10/10

In the current climate with everything going up took some time to sell with so many campers for sale

I would give zero stars if I could.
Only contact i got was scammers. For the amount they charge, bugger that. Ended up selling through the book.

My caravan was positioned at a price that allowed me to adjust my advert in line with comparable caravans.
Review my advert as required to ensure an acceptable price achieved.

You read or hear of so many bad reviews. My experience has been very positive... advert submitted Saturday night, approved Sunday morning, sold early Sunday afternoon, deposit banked this afternoon. I am a really happy seller and the buyer was so polite and helpful. This happens when both sides really want to do business.

I’m a serious buyer with no-one coming back to me. Actually, I did have one come back to me saying they sold a year ago and had stopped the ad back then. I’ve enquired on 6 others with a couple of follow ups and nothing! Assuming they put up fake ads to make it look like there’s more on offer than there is…old internet trick for a modern business.

Our experience as a seller:
Not happy enough about the service, including the many technical issues and unnecessary complications in the system.
Too expensive.
Sadly, there is no real alternative.
