Worst experience ever
I am with this company for two vehicles because it was (WAS) the best option for me.
I have had one Audi S3 which the engine blew up on because of their mechanic failing to change spark plugs and it breaking in the engine bay. (50,000 kilometres)
They replaced it with another Audi S3 which the transmission failed on at only 45000 kilometres.
That Audi was replaced with a mustang that I eventually got tired of because I took it back 3 times to them saying it had transmission faults in the learning computer, it went unheard they told me it was normal and tried to made me think I was crazy.
When I returned the mustang and took a 4th vehicle a Hyundai, they waited 3 months and are now trying to charge me for excess kilometres on the mustang. No contact, when I call them I leave messages nobody calls back. Now they’re threatening me with debt collection for excess kilometres, think they contacted me back? Nope!
This is by far the worst run company, with the worst regard for customer loyalty I’ve ever seen, been with them for over 3 years to be treated like this.
Do not ever ever EVER use CarBar, if you can use anything else, a shopping cart would be better!

Even for temporary residents !!
Once process completed, Carbar really did deliver a great car in perfect condition. We visit Victoria for around 3 months most years - legacy car rental is expensive even for entry level models - with no discounts for long term (say 2 or 3 months) rentals. Carbar address a gap in the market by offering a payment structure supporting longer term rentals. The up front fee is fixed and very modest weekly rates soon absorb the upfront to privies excellent value.

Great site. Lots of useful information, which helped me with choosing a car. I ordered a car, everything was delivered on time, the paperwork was not too difficult. I was worried at first, but then I didn't regret my choice.

This has not happened so someone has dropped the ball and I run a business and restructured my day for the car service.
Otherwise they have always been pleasant in dealings.

Initially the vehicle procurement took a while with one of the cars I chose falling through. I chose another and the lead time due to coming from interstate took a while. I would recommend choosing a car in stock in your area if you need something quick but other wise the overall service was great.

Maintaining / servicing the car is a problem from my experience as a customer of close to 2 years, recently (2 months ago) got a new car from them and the tyres are now past the tread indicator, got tyres replaced from my own expense and they ask "how much was the tyres?" and then needing to get additional technical approval to fit 3 more tyres as they are all old and not matching the new tyre tread, which does not make sense to me as the tyres were assessed by tyre specialists as needing to replace due to near unroadworthy! And the fact that this was not picked when car picked up (2 months ago) quality checked the car? This shows to me they are cutting corners and has been not on one occasion but many where servicing is the customers problem and becomes your headache to fix and run around else you cannot drive the car in my case with the tyres!

Proceses need some refining and streamlining. Commnication with customers needs to be clearer and more made transaprent in a timely manner. Some exceptional 10/10 customer service delivered by some employees of this company whilst on the other hand I have experienced some terible customer service by others.
