This is a 'dealer driven' program. I don't appreciate being hassled by the dealer. I know how to contact them on my own if I'm interested in pursuing the details of the offer. In any case, it wasn't much of an offer though it might be a starting point for someone ready to do business.

Having the true price for the vehicle made it easier negotiating with the dealer and we ended up getting it for the lower of the prices recommended by Carcostcanada.com.

Not Honest
The purpose of CarCostCanada is to provide car dealers with the names of buyers actively looking for vehicles, without the buyers' permission. This purpose, of course, is never stated on the website.
CarCostCanada claims that its recorded Dealer Prices are accurate. However, given that its primary loyalty is not to customers but to dealers, there are considerable grounds to suspect that actual Dealer Prices are lower than those stated on the site. That automatically gives dealers a negotiating cushion.
Suppose the actual dealer price is $1000 lower that what's stated on CarCostCanada, CarCostCanada can demand $500 as a kickback from the dealer upon completion of a sale.
I hereby challenge CarCostCanada to publish its full dealer agreement on its website.
