Very good experience from multiple visits to Katowice Airport. Always someone at the desk to pick up and drop off.
Always been given a nice car to drive.

For international customers just make sure you have a credit card with your full name on it as I was lucky to have brought one the first time.

Fantastic experience from start to finish. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, everything was handled quickly and professionally. The car was perfectly clean and a great option for our trip. The return was smooth and completely stress free. I will definitely use this rental company again and highly recommend them to anyone.

DO NOT TOUCH. They may seem the cheapest but in fine print in the agreement will be that you have to clean the car both inside and outside or they will charge you a ridiculous amount. They will take this from your deposit. Everyone at the desk who heard this was laughing and saying they have never once been told they have to clean their car inside and outside on their holiday. This is why they seem cheapest. They just hit you up for extra charges after. We also booked and paid for a station wagon as we needed the boot space for luggage but on collecting the car were given a tiny car with a tiny boot. It even said station wagon on rental but they didn’t care.

CARFREE, WARSAW AIRPORT, POLAND.
1/ I booked a manuel cross-over car. Instead, I got an automatic basic car, with no explanation nor apology.
2/ I returned the car early morning, as the simulations at booking were showing no extra fee for this time. As a result, I was charged 22 euros for early return.
3/ Fuel at drop-off was more than at pick-up, as fuel-to fuel-policy is uneasy to refine (on purpose...). Of course, no compensation.
4/ None of my emails were ever responded, for compensation, refund of extra fees or apology for non-compliance of rented car.
AVOID BY ALL MEANS : no customer nor commercial care and no trust.

Excellent service. I made a mistake with the rentals the two gentleman at the counter helped me with everything. I will definitely use it again

Awful company who scam for more money.

Paid for a car and insurance in advance and seemed a reasonable price.

Our flight got diverted to another airport due to fog. We phoned car free 3 times, first to ask if we could cancel the initial booking and book a car from air port we were diverted too (Poznan) they advised only if we paid for both lol. We then had to take a bus to the original airport to pick up the initial booking . We phoned them 3 times to advise what time we’d be arriving and they said this would be fine.

On arriving at Bydgoszcz the office was shut. After another phone call, the girl finally arrived. She didn’t acknowledge us and when she did she was beyond rude & had to wait an hour for her to serve us. We were advised the car we booked wasn’t available and was offered a much smaller car (she did the same to the one other customer waiting for her)

It’s gets better…. She then said because we were late we had to buy their insurance at an extra £40 a day… despite already paying for insurance with them before arriving . The car initially cost us £75 for four days plus £75 insurance, At the office, I’ve ended up having up paying an extra £300.

They knew they could charge what they wanted as it was midnight and we had no choice . Natalia said she didn’t have our flight number and this was valid reason to charge us. We’d entered this at the point of booking and advised them 3 times we’d be late. She simply didn’t care and just wanted
More & more money and knew we had to pay it.

In 20 years of business I’ve never met anyone so rude and unprofessional and a worse company to deal with.

Polish friends warned us about this company as they all had similar experiences but I couldn’t believe it was actually happening.

0 Stars would be generous. You’re disgusting and scam genuine customers.

Don’t waste time and money here, when I arrived at the counter, I was told that the car was supposed to be picked up in an hour slot between 11 am till 12 and because now it’s 12.01 I must buy the insurance, moreover, they will want you to wash the car on the return for them, they just offer low prices at the beginning but then do everything to cheat and get as much as they can, pathetic, Polish style way of doing business from the 90’s. Choose Alamo, Enterprise or Avis. Nothing else is even worth mentioning in Gdańsk

Unfortunately when collecting the hire car from Krakow Airport, I did not have a physical credit card, I accepted my error and paid the price!
When at the collection desk and being informed of the large value of the insurance I had to pay, I did ask for a reduction/lesser value, and upon checking my confirmation paperwork, I realised I had been charged the premium insurance at a cost of 999,99 PLN.

I believe I was mis sold the premium insurance and was not offered the standard insurance.

Considering my initial booking already cost me a non refundable £38.10 the additional cost of 999,99 PLN makes this a very expensive 5 day hire car.

CarFree refused by email and in person when returning the car to reduce the insurance to a more affordable standard insurance based on the fact I was not offered the standard insurance despite asking at the collection desk.

Super fast service. The car is located in a nearby parking lot. Access to the parking lot directly from the terminal through the corridor. The car was clean both inside and out.
The guys are friendly and helpful.

It’s another time I’m renting from this company and I will continue to do so. Great customer service! Cars in great condition. Would highly recommend.

We rented a car for 4 days
24th Jan - 28 Jan
Car was well looked after. It was winter in Poland. We always take photos and videos in case of dispute when we return the car.
They have now taken over £100 from us claiming "upholstery cleaning" but they haven't sent any evidence with videos or photos.
We are chasing it back and have also contacted MasterCard.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
I suggest paying a bit more for a reputable company
